Good morning everyone! A holiday Monday up here in Canada.
We had a great day at the lake. We plopped out lawn chairs on the beach, blew up a few floaties for the girls..and sat there all day. Wonderful. It was overcast most of the day, but still warm. It ended up being a blessing because otherwise we would have all come home looking like lobsters.

So I mentioned yesterday about this potential affair Gringo will be having with Minnie. He said he had nothing against Minnie, but he wondering if he could possible change that to Ariel..cause she's got bigger..errr...seashells.

Sorry I missed ya over the weekend. DH and I were out travel trailer hunting. Found a great used 24ft.....DD's will be soo excited. Now when to go camping???

Yes I agree Hitch was great. DH and I went to see Mr & Mrs smith this past friday and it was Hilarious!!

Working on a tan out here, if you can stand to be out in the 95-100* heat you get great color.... Luckely I haven't burned this summer, I usually get at least one early on. Guess I'm getting smarter as I get older

Tomorrow we finally get to go to the lake. For the first time this summer! Can't wait to just sit on the beach and let the kids frolic in the water chatting with my girlfriend and gossiping and then heading out to the ice cream shop for triple rocky road ice cream cone. Ok..so it's not the Carribbean but it's the closest I can get. Maybe I can work on a tan too. Well, it more like burn, peel, and then tan, but it works!

Er, um...I see NO mention of frozen drinkies with little umbrellas!

Ingrid - Bailey got her mail from your daughter today. She opened it up and said "Awwwwww!" I asked her what the picture was and she decided it was a whale. Hope this is right! Tell your daughter that Bailey says Thanks!!!

Just checking in too! Got to go to Kindergarten parents meeting at 5:15. Julie, Holland is very excited about "real" kindergarten. We went to "meet the teacher" yesterday, although Holland is familiar with her teacher because it's the same Kindergarten teacher that Briley had. She has been teaching for over 30 years, and is just awesome. She thanked me for "blessing her with the opportunity to teach another one of my children." I laughed and told her that I sure hoped that she thought it was a blessing after 2 weeks of school! Briley sits in class and doesn't talk, does her work, and is pretty much the perfect student! Holland is not by any means bad, she is just much more social ( I think it's inherited from her mother!), and easily taken off task! (thats a nice way of putting it, isn't it?) School starts the 9th here, so things will really kick in to high gear soon!

It seems like the cruise is not coming quick enough. I suppose once school starts the time will move faster!

Wow..school starts early down there. DD does’nt start school here until Sept. 6th.

Hey..has anyone else lost their smilies? I use to have smilies on the right of the screen, and now they are gone! I think maybe I may have messed around with my User CP and lost them somewhere.

So that's why my postings are so plain and dull. I can't add any smilies, bouncies, etc. But the thought is there!

Howdy,
We're back from vacation to the lake. The kids now know how to water ski which is exciting! It was lots of work but we've accomplished our goals.

I noticed some of the threads stating that early Sept. cruise people have now started receiving their cruise docs. Can you imagine? We are almost ready to do the doc dance. I can't wait.

I purchased our glow in the dark necklaces and earrings and bracelets. Too cool. Also got bubbles for sail away party. Both of the kids' pirate clothes have arrived and they look great! Still searching for my pirate clothes.

It seems as though Clint and I have done a good job of "talking it up" to make her excited. I wish someone had done that with me. When I started school, I cried every single day at naptime for the first 2 weeks!

Deanna - Glad you got back safely, sounds like you had a fun trip! I saw where early September cruisers are getting their docs, too. That is so exciting. It is really getting close. It almost makes me sad, because then it is closer to being over! Yes, I know I am strange. Where did you get your glow-in-the-dark accessories? I saw some yesterday at Party City, but I have already bought mine from, yep, you guessed it - U.S. Toy!

I got my glow in the dark accessories at Paper Warehouse. It probably wasn't the cheapest place to get it. But I noticed them on the shelf and grabbed several. I can't wait!

Thanks! I really like their names too! I really like uncommon names. It was my quest to find names that were not in a baby name book. If DH suggested it, I looked it up, if it could be found in a baby name book, it was out!! All of my girls have maiden names of family members for middle names. Addison (our youngest DD) has my maiden name. I was saving it for "the boy" but he never showed up! I still have lots of good boy names that I never got to use, so if anybody is in need...Ha!

Okay, about the whole pirate night thing... I was still thinking tropical night, and bought the girls 3 matching tropical outfits, and DH and I have a matching shirt and dress. So if we don't wear these for pirate night, when else can we wear them, and not look like complete goobs? Could we just wear them to Parrot Cay to dinner, if its not formal or semiformal night? And again, are we going to stick out like sore thumbs? I'm not sure DH would even do the pirate thing, but the kids might have fun. I was just thinking of wearing the tropical stuff with the eye patches and bandanas (not that any of it will match). Is anybody still wearing tropical stuff on Pirate night? I'm almost considering renting DH a tux for formal night. The girls will all match, I finally found a dress I really like, and I'm thinking it would one less thing we have to transport on and off the ship. And just think of the great family photo op!

Happy Wednesday.

Julie" I agree can't wait for the cruise to get here but it will go by soo fast when it does.

I also have been keeping my eyes out for "glow stuff" saw some at a local store, after I had already paid of course. Told myself, "you need to get some of those the next time your here". I did pick a few necklaces up at the DOllar store, but wanted back up incase they are duds.

My DD's don't go back to school till Sept 6th like Ingrid.
But i have friends In northern CA whose kids go back mid august, then they get a week off in Oct.
I have one DD going into Middle school....she's excited, mom's nervous .

EricC: I also have too VERY different tempermented DD's. Second born is also "easliy distracted".....she'd much rather be playing than studying We had our "Pre" start of school talk at dinner last night (younger one is going into 4th), about concentrating on our studies and homework more this year.
It was cute DD's were discussing college last night and DD9 asked if she could go to Harvard ........You go girl

We also already bought Tropical clothes prior to Pirate night. We will wear these with our Bandana's, eye patches and earrings (courtesy of Julie). I may even try to get away with some olive green capri's and a tropical shirt. Heck if people are in costume who's going to even notice. To bad I can't wear my tropical print thongs...

I say go with what you have, unless you want to go pirate
