Hi folks,
New vehicle for us too. Volkswagen Jetta. Darren picks it up tomorrow. It's his birthday today. Nice birthday gift, huh? I wonder what the chances are for asking for a brand new car for my birthday? (I won't hold my breath)
It's a diesal, and apparently, the salesman says we can drive to Vancouver and back on one tank of gas. Umm..I don't think I will attempt it. Then again, I could call the salesman when we are standing on the side of the road with no "go-juice" and tell him to come pick us up!

I am sitting here at work this morning and needed some luvin
so I thought I would say Hi to everyone!

Sounds like everyone is doing great!
All these new cars!!! Wow!!!!

I love Vegas... I want to go back so bad! We went last year the week
of Thanksgiving... and GET THIS.... The one time we choose to go to
the desert it SNOWS!!!!!!!!!!!! When we checked in the lady at the hotel was like I can't ever remember a time that it snowed on the strip
until this morning!!! Oh well that is my luck!!!

Dennis~Eric is a Graphic Artist. He had been with the company he worked
for almost 11 years. They decided to turn all of their stuff over to their
advertising company.

Well I guess I better get back to work!

Julie!! I'm so sorry!! I left out the most important detail of the car!
It's platinum gray! He wanted black. I wanted baby blue.
So I guess if you mixed the two colors, you would get a platinum gray (kinda)

Actually, the truth is he said he would'nt be caught dead in a baby blue car (an image thing?), and I researched, and there was some sort of manufacturer's boo-boo on the black paint (it peeled), so I talked him out of black.

So is anyone yet started their xmas shopping? Or am I the only one right now going through the torture and misery?

And I don't know about the states, but here in Canada every 5 minutes they are playing a Carnival CruiseLine commercial on TV. What's up with that?? Thank goodness it's not Disney CruiseLine or I would just break down and cry.

(by the way..I keep reminding Gringo that we coulda went on three cruises for the price of that car)

Ingrid - Oh yeah, I have a big jump on my Christmas shopping! It is really because I can't stand crowds so I want to get it done now. Oh and I love the color of your car. Fancy stuff! Clint would not be caught in a baby blue car either. When we met, I was driving a purple car and he didn't enjoy driving it. Tee-hee!

No, I did not get married again. Since Chad bought me that ring in Cozumel I need to stick with him for a few more years! DiDi- speaking of credit card bills, we got the bill for the ring in the mail.....no more cruises for us for awhile. The kids are both feeling some better, Addison is going back to preschool today, and Holland went back to school yesterday. I kept her out Monday, and Tuesday. She could have probably gone back Tuesday, but I am very paranoid about sending her to school if she is not %100 because her best friend in Kindergarten has Leukemia. She is doing very well, but still has a compromised immune system. Her friend was gone yesterday and today for chemo treatments so I sent her back to school. The kids are out for Veterans day tomorrow.

Gilesfamily- it seems that our TV is all about cruise commercials too. Lots of Freedom of the Seas commercials showing the surfing pool (which by the way is just too cool), and the Carnival Cruise commercial with the Christmas theme(everybody walking around with cruise ship models in the snow). Maybe I just notice them a little more now.

Congrats on the new cars everyone. Dennis, Chad would give you the big thumbs up. He had a awesome time in Vegas last week. He met Chip Foose, saw Leno, and the guy that made all the Bat mobiles (I can't remember his name), saw tons of customized cars and trucks at the SEMA show. We also got to hear Rudy Guiliani speak, and Jeff Gordon introduced him (too bad we are Earnhardt fans! ) I saw Celine Dion in concert (with my MIL),and ran into Pete Rose at the mall. Vegas is an interesting place.

Well I'm off to get Addison to preschool, and have to take Lilo to the vet to get her stiches removed. We had her spayed while we were in Vegas, I don't think she'll be so excited about her next trip to the pet hotel!

My DH also got a new vehicle. A customized Ford F 150! Everyone is so lucky! I guess the cruise didn't break us after all. Whew. I was worried.

Gringo decided already to initiate the new car and put a dent in it. He was grabbing the ladder from the garage and knocked the lawn chairs off the top shelf and they came crashing down on the car. Of course, I had to call him "fumble fingers" for the rest of the day.
