We're on the 7-day cruise on Sept 21, and I'm so happy that I finally found this board. I wish I would have found it earlier, but better late than never. I've read several pages, but I still have some questions, mostly about my 2 yr. old.

1. She sleeps in a twin bed with a rail at home. She'll have the sofa bed on the cruise, but how do we keep her from falling out? I really don't want to pack a bed rail.

2. We need sand toys for the beach (shovel, pail, etc.) We're doing the Sapphire beach excursion in addition to Castaway Cay. Can we buy some fairly reasonably on the boat or do we need to bring them from home?

3. She's 33 months, and will be going to Flounder's just one evening so that we can go to dinner at Palo's. Should we bring a coloring book or do they have toys that will interest her? Someone said there were only baby toys.

4. We've got reservations at the airport Hyatt for Friday night. What time do the busses from the airport start running? We'd like to get to the port before they start boarding if possible.

Thanks so much!
Veronica

I can help with a few questions:

Sand toys - Buy from your local Target/K-Mart/Wal MArt store. The ship do not have a good selection and it is not cheap.

Hyatt Hotel - The busses start about 9 -9:30 AM . Saw it when we stayed there. When you check in tell the hotel that you are on the cruise. They will give you instructions on what to do with your bags. They will pick up your bags and send it to the port. The next time you see your bags will be in your stateroom. All you need to do is come down and see on of the DCL reps and there will be one right by the steps leading up to the hotel in the airport. BTW make sure you have the cruise tags before they take you bags away at the hotel :)

They do have rails on the ship. The one we had was identical to the one we had at home. One of the mesh rails that would go up and down by pulling up on it.

We bought some sand toys toys at Castaway Cay. I don't remember what they cost but I do remeber thinking it wasn't really expensive and much better than packing it.
