Too philosophical this early in the morning...I haven't had my tea yet :coffee:
But I can tell you that you bring me joy whenever I get a Disney text from you!:goodvibes

Timmy,
I have to rent that movie. Yes, I feel I have brought joy to my son, husband, and dogs even if to nobody else. They mean the most to me so that's good enough for me. I know I didn't bring joy to the directv customer service agent the other day when I gave her a hard time but she didn't bring me any either till I gave her a hard time. :rotfl: Just asked Will and he said that yes I bring him joy. I hope he knows what joy really is. :lmao: Didn't ask DH but if I don't bring him joy I know he brings himself joy at least. :thumbsup2 You have to know him to understand. The man can crack himself up if nobody else.

I find joy in my DH and DS, my dogs and Disney too, cant leave that out. I probably could think of others given more time. Not every minute am I joyful with any of those things because somtimes they make me feel like this :scared1: but most times I feel like this

Timmy,
Just so you know you brought joy to me when we hung out at Disney. You cracked me up and I find joy in laughter. You can laugh at yourself too so I would think that brings you joy to yourself. See I just helped you solve that one.

Ang

Timmy,
I forgot to say that you are very blessed with good memories of your care free childhood days because for some people they were never able to be care free and feel glad their childhoods are over.

Ang

:guilty: :sad2: :guilty: :rolleyes1

But I can tell you that you bring me joy whenever I get a Disney text from you!:goodvibes

I hope you have the TM plan... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

isnt that scary :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I can really laugh with me!!! if that makes sense... yesterday as I was going through pics with Gmax and Pete... I started cracking up... I remember our ride at Space Mountain... it was Gmax's 1st... and as soon as I started counting 10.. 9.. 8.. etc... by the time we blast of I yelled "Oh shoot I lost my wig" (still laughing now) I lost my wig.. someone stop this ride... shoot where is my hat!!! I am wearing my hat... (well I did have my hat on...) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: by the time we got off this kid said... I think you should tell the CM that you lost your wig...

OMG... I finally saw the SUn... but tomorrow I go back to work... arrgghh.... the next time I am off is on the 11th when we do the Baltimore Meet... :faint:

hi..ho..hi..ho.. to work I have to go ! :car:

not to rush things but I am waiting patiently to have Maria and Jan home... hmmm that day Were all home "evil laugh"

Timmy, just noticed your December countdown! Did you get the dates at DVC or will you be back at POP? :)

Still haven't decided if I'm going in December...missed the booking date for NC resident discounts b/c could not make up my mind. Now don't think there are any good discounts left - too tired (or would that be lazy ;) ) to check.

Calling is just not fun anymmore...the last few CM's I've had have been practically rude - so pushy. Telling me I can't book this way or that way... from now on will say very little - just dates and name. No more friendly chitchat. Anyway, would hang up and call back but the new voice system is too annoying. Seems to take forever to reach a real person and then they rarely have all the info already keyed in and we have to go through it all again.

When training new CM's it seems old fashioned Disney guest service is left by the wayside.

Well, did not meant to begin the week with a vent!! Sorry everyone! Think I'm just a bit grumpy 'cuz no Disney trip in the works for December! Pathetic, I know.;)

Hope you all had a great weekend! :flower3:

Have you tried calling the Bounce Back #? I did after I was home (to adjust dates) and got through to someone right away! I agree getting a good CM is hit or miss....I need to remember to just hang up if I get someone less than magical and call back...

Thanks, Kristeneamb.

Of course, I've no right to be grumpy about a thing....here I am with grandbaby Sophia sleeping in my arms...do I really want to leave her even for a few days??

Me thinks looking forward to FD next yr is pretty great!:dance3: If I ever find a job, maybe I'll upgrade from a value to a monorail resort. ::yes::

I don't think I could stay in a DTD resort after sall these years. Waay back on 1985 we spent Thanksgiving at the Hilton - Disney still provided official WDW buses, so it wasn't too bad...but not now.

Wow, that's a long wait list for DVC, Timmy! Are you calling everyday for a value to open up? How about expedia or orbitz, AAA? I'm sure you've checked them all. ::yes:: Oh! SW is having a vacation pkg sale - what about that or are you driving?

Lordy, Lordy...wanting to get to WDW "ain't" always easy, my friend! Fingers crossed for you!

Are your dates during MouseFest and POP Warner? Thought those events were later this year...

:tink: Loads of dust for yoU! (I didn't know you're a nurse! That's great! I can get the teachers rate at Swan/Dolphin :) ).

Minnie&Nana,
What kind of a teacher are you? I taught HS English for 4 years before I had my DS...now I substitute for our district...are subs eligible for a discount too??? Not that I want to stay @Swan or Dophin...:surfweb:

Yey!! thanks I need all the pixiedust: And 4 weeks ago was my last full shift being a Nurse... I am giving it a rest for next few months :confused3 going back to lab work full time.. and doing some accts for an accounting firm for the holidays...

thats my problem.. I am a 38 y/o kid who still does not know what I am going to be when grow up :lmao: so I have been jumping from one field to another... was even supposed to be abck in school this Sept. for dental hygene :lmao:

:cool1: for Sha!!! (I follow some of her TR's).:cool1:

Ohh...no no no...not that old for me. ;) I like the little ones - pre-school is my speciality - afterall, do you leave school at the end of the day after getting 10 or more hugs? ;)

Honestly, hats off to you for teaching the older ones - it is truly a gift.

YES YES YES - any educational staff, including support staff, is eligible for Swan and Dolphin treacher discounts. ::yes:: I was eligible as a Librarian and After School Director. ::yes::

Have you stayed there? We did 4 or 5 times in the early '90's, right after it opened. We had a TA "Educational rate" for $42.40 a ngt inc tax - one time our room rack rate would have been $325 inc tax!! The discount rate is why we stayed there a few times. (My daughter was a corporate TA).

Guest Service was absolutely incredible! Disney GS was beginning to go downhill by then and S/D was a breath of fresh air.

Of course, it was brand new - and each time we had a balcony (terrible balconies) wth an EPCOT view. The last time we stayed we paid $52.50 inc tax...sigh...those days are long gone.

Now the resorts have their share of complaints and the room rate can include some pretty terrible views if not upgraded at check-in. Was talking with reservations there recently and they said the automatic room upgrade for AAA, AARP and Starwoords Preferred members has been stopped. Seems most guests were paying the lowest rate and getting a very nice upgrade. :) Upgrades still happen, but guess a guest cannot count on it anymore. Oh,well, things change.:)

If you do decide to try one Swan or Dolphin all you need is a current pay stub at check-in - or school dept ID or teacher certification.:)

thats my problem.. I am a 38 y/o kid who still does not know what I am going to be when grow up so I have been jumping from one field to another... was even supposed to be abck in school this Sept. for dental hygene

Timmy, good for you!!! It's great to keep your options open and it keeps the brain healthy!!! (or so they say ;) )

I hope your waitlist comes through or a value opens up soon....even if I am green with envy.

yeah... options are so open my mom is always having a hard time keeping track on where I am working so she says... But right now.. I dont think I can take care of someone anytime soon again... And did I tell you I see dead people :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:thanks: that was going to be my next question...we love the location of the Swan & Dolphin (proximity to DS and EPCOT) and have always wanted to try Boardwalk, Beach Club, etc but could never justify the price...

No... just restless... I guess it is the only child syndrome... but I am not even an only child.. well I am the only biological child so when I want to shut all my bros and sister in the picture I close my eyes and tell myself am an only child :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

or I am suffering the "I have to do it all before both feet are flat together and 6 feet below under" syndrome :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And did I tell you I see dead people :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

No, but I'd sure like to know if you happen to be able to speak with them as well! ::yes:: I have a lot of family who' ve crossed over...I could keep you busy for awhile.;)

You're welcome! So glad it came up today. :) The location is unbeatable for the price of a moderate... Swan refurb was just completed and they are working on the Dolphin - tho I'd check the Swan/Dolphin thread for the latest..or better yet, call the resort directly, most of the reservationists at the resort are wonderful.

BC and BW have not been my fav resorts so far - but we tried both resorts after years of staying at the Poly and CR - so the rooms felt tiny to us. BUT not much is better than strolling to/from your resort thru International Gateway...sigh...be still my heart. YC/BC and BW rooms are 380 sq ft, so larger than WL, AKL and CBR and would feel much larger than the other mods or values.

Of course, no Dining Plan at Swan/Dolphin , but guess that's the trade off for the price. :)

OH!! Bus service is terrible at all 5 of those resorts - my word, it took forever to get anywhere because the buses stop at so many resorts! Sometimes at every one, other time 2 or 3 will share.
