SEPT 2009 code watch

I got pin codes LAST year for FD..... and they were all the TS option but I don't think they HAD CS only last year? :confused3
Of course they were all addressed to my 67 year old father who has no intention of ever going to Disney if he can help it. Buy my parents a room ONE TIME ONE NIGHT and now they get all the good codes *shakes computer* LOL

It is really REALLY nice out today. Spring Fever is making me wish I was in Disney! I've been working on planning non-Disney trips for 2010 and still can't shake it LOL.

Please add me to the list, as I am going 9/26-10/3.

As for the people who got pin codes in the mail for free dining, is it only counter service or does it vary depending on the resort you stay at?

I got the pin code for free dining. It was the regular dining plan, same as always. We booked All Star Movies and could have booked at any level and gotten the 1TS, 1CS, 1Snack per person per night.

Add me to your list! We are going sometime in September for the first time. I am overwhelmed at all of the information out there! I am a bargain shopper though, and hope to get some of these codes that you speak of! :)

would you please add me to your list also... we are planning to go 9/29-10/04. I scheduled our trip yesterday and when I asked the CM about the FD in Sept-Oct she said that if something came out about FD that it would more than likely be out in april-mayish... but there were no guarrantees....

does anyone know when those promotions came out last year?

Please add us to the list. We'll be at the POP Century Sept 10 - 24. Waiting anxiously for FD announcements!

Hi all! I have not posted here in a while. I hope that everyone is doing well finding those codes! I guess the next big one will be FD. I got %40 off at the Poly so FD does not work out for me but I hope everyone else get what they need.

Just curious.... debating on whether I should rent points from a DVC member and add the dining plan.... or book through Disney and get free dining.... wondering what the better deal is.... obviously wouldn't be able to afford a deluxe hotel if i book through disney..... don't know which way to go!! Love the DVC resorts! but love the free dining too!! I hope they announce it soon!!!

I think you'll just have to do the math.

To calculate free dining add the cost of your resort, rack rate, times the number of nights your want to stay, plus tickets (don't forget tax).

To calculate DVC first you'll need to figure out how many points your stay will cost. Multiply that by the average going rate for points right now (I haven't checked lately, the last time I did most were going for around $10 per point). Then add on the cost of the DDP. Then add on the cost of your tickets -- I'd go with Undercover Tourist through the MouseSavers newsletter link.

See what you come up with. :goodvibes

I'd love to be added to this list. We are going from Sept 20th to the 28th... Havent really started planning. Whats this 40% off about??

Hi... Could you add us to the list. DH, DD2 and I are taking our first trip as a family Sept 19-26. It feels good to know that there are people as obsessive and excited as me over the thought of a Disney vacation! :goodvibes :goodvibes

We are hoping to go Sept 17-20 for a long weekend! Haven't decided on a resort yet. It will probably depend on what discounts are available at the time!

I am so glad that I started reading here on the boards! People posting about codes reminded me that I have a "junk" email that I hardly ever use. So I went and sorted through all of the emails and found a 40% off code for my Sept trip! The email said value resorts, but they let me use it on the Yacht Club. I got it for 226.16/night. I am so excited!! I had to book by March 31. The way it was written (to show the black-out dates) was that I could use it Aug 23 - Oct 1. So maybe that will be the free dining when it comes out. I'm not sure that free dining will beat my deal here though.

Wow, lucky you! :thumbsup2

Often for the deluxe resorts a 40% off code is better than free dining. It would depend on how many people were in the room and whether they pay child or adult prices on the DDP of course, and whether or not you even really want the DDP. I think free dining is almost always, if not always, the better deal at a value resort.

If I were you I'd do the math in advance so you'll know if you want to switch to free dining if/when it comes along. ;)

Could you add us to the list, We will be in Disney at all star music 9/20-9/26. Hoping for FD to come out soon! thanks

I'm already on the list, but we added a day to our trip, so you can update me if you want! (please!) Now it's 11 nights at the Polynesian, woohoo!

Our new dates are 9/21-10/2.

I'm so excited! We're doing the MNSSHP while we're there PLUS the Food & Wine Expo starts mid-trip. Yay!!! I'm so obsessed with planning the trip. My little girl just asked me today "Mommy, can you PLEASE not talk about Disney right now?" lol
