SEPT 2009 code watch

Hi, can you add us to the watch?

We've booked 9/15-9/24/09 at the Pop with free dining on the bounce back but I've heard that a code might benefit us more than free dining.

What do you guys think? It's a mother/daughter trip (DD is 8) but the 8 yo wants to eat with the Characters once a day. Which would be a better value...A code for the room or free dining?

I want to join the code watch for September 2009 too...we are going September 18-26 and are hoping for a discount for my family of 5, either free dining or a room discount (we are getting 2 rooms at the Pop). Anybody else staying at the Pop? We are so excited! This is our first big family trip!!!

We will be there from the 12 - 22nd!

Hi all! Just checking in to see what is new. Alot of sept planners, very exciting! I was just doing some $$$ planning and I really, really, need a code to make this happen, keep the faith all I am sure something will come out!

I am hoping for free dining, that is the only way we are even going to be able to go next Sept.. Here is praying for free dining for the public.. Sept 25-October 4th..Hoping for two rooms at POP Century..

Hi All,
Well after the last week of watching the stock market and all the bad news that the goverment has been handing out lately we may get a whole lot more than we expected. My wife and i are going either way but more help would be better. Just looked at airlines and we can go round trip for $308.00 per person I don't think thats too bad. Flight time is 2 hrs non stop so we will book that ASAP. We are concidering a resort change to CSR, we wanted to go there the 1st time we went to Disney but the TA talked us out of that. Hope everybody here gets what they need to make the trip next year.See everybody next SEPT.

Chuck

The best way to figure it out, is to look at the menus for the restaurants, either on DIS or allearsnet (or both!)
Figure out how much it would cost to pay out of pocket for the meals you will eat. Don't forget to include snacks, and any counter service.

Then look at how much it would cost to PAY for the dining plan.

If a slight discount on your room is worth more than what you would pay for food (either out of pocket or for the plan), take the room discount.

If the room discount is less than the cost of the dining plan, take the free dining.

If you stay at a value, you would have to get your room for less than $32 a night. Probably not going to happen.

The room discount is more helpful when you stay deluxe. (and sometimes moderate.)

With our family, because we have 4 people per room, in a value resort, there is NO question the free dining is totally worth it to us.

Let me know if you have any other questions. We have done free dining in Aug./Sept. twice now. :thumbsup2

Hello! I would like to join your group. I just started planning a September 09 trip for my family. We are considering a land and sea trip, but I am not sure that will work out for us this time.

We are a family of 6, so I am thinking holding out for free dining will be our best savings??? I am at the beginning stages of our planning so we do not even have the dates in stone yet. I was thinking either the beginning of September when DD's 12 birthday falls (She turned 6 at WDW also) or in late September to hopefully make MNSSHP (did I get that right). Either way we are going in September. We have been 3 times in September, 1 in December and 2 in March and by far September was the best for us.

Feel free to let me in on and secrets and tips you have. We have never stayed on site before and I am so excited to try it. I am a huge bargain hunter so making this trip as economical as possible is a huge priority.

Thanks in advance,
Lacy

ONLY 10 months 3 weeks and 6 days until my September 09 trip:lmao: ONLY.. I bet this year is going to fly!

I just got off the phone with my TA from small world vacations today to put down the deposit for my trip =)

She also said that it wasn't "official" yet, but she could pretty much guarentee there would be free dining for next Septmber :cool1:  :woohoo:

My fiance and I are planning a wedding on September 5, 2009. We are having a cinderella theme wedding, then we are planning on leaving for Disney World on either September 6 or 7 for a seven night honeymoon. This is the first trip to disney for my fiance and I haven't been since I was in high school and I was in colorguard and we came and was in the parade. We are very excited to be honeymooning at Disney. We are wanting to either get the Free Dining or a good discount, depending on what kind of discount we get, then we will choose our resort. We are going to keep checking back on here to see if there are any deals. We will also keep our fingers crossed.:yay:

Good grief this thread is huge! Wonderful involment, but are there codes yet or are there not?

Thanks,
Copper

The codes for Sept. 09 most likely not be released until April. Everyone will be keeping their eyes open and posting here when they find one.

[Edited because I put the wrong dates.]
