SEPT 2009 code watch

I got a 40% off pin code in an e-mail today. Actually it was sent to my husbands e-mail. So we are staying at ASMusic, in a Family Suite.

Joining the thread. Planning on a value (ASMo or POP-haven't decided) for Sept 13-19. Probably will book with AAA rate and hope for free dining or a code.

Can you use free dining with AAA? Sorry if this is a dumb question...

Very excited about the trip!!

It's not a dumb question, I was wondering the same thing! I think that you can only use one special offer at a time (i.e. 40% off, free dining, AAA) but I'm not sure

Does anybody know if you can use free dining w/ AAA discount?

I'm bummed out b/c I did get a pin but since I'm a passholder I can only use it on the room I'm actually staying in....when all of you other guys can use your 40% off for up to 4 rooms...it doesn't seem fair. :confused3

It is one special offer at a time. Unfortunately you can't combine AAA or the 40% with free dining, its one or the other.

How I wish we were going to Disney as early as all of you here, but still we are in process of planning. Maybe we will have our trip on December, I'm excited and little bit crazy. :rotfl:

Have a safe trip everyone. :)

Beauty and the Beast--

They told you it was only good for 1 room? I haven't heard anyone get it for 4 rooms. They told me I can book a total of 3 rooms on my pin code. I would call and ask someone else. You should be able to book your room plus 2 more.

Lsutiggergirl - Actually I called 2 times and tried to book an additional room and was told that it's not just a pin code, it's a "passholder" pin code (even though its exactly the same offer that everyone else is getting) and I can only use it for the room that I (or another passholder) am staying in.
Another user posted that she had used her "passholder" pin for 2 rooms, so I called a third time to try again.

I called and didn't say a word about a pin or passholder or anything and just said that I would like to add a room to my reservation (I already had a reservation for one room w/ my pin and dining.) The cm I got went through the booking process with me and never asked if there was a passholder staying in that room, he just put on my reservation that the other room were "guests of" me so my pin could be used with the reservation.

It just goes to show you that you sometimes get different answers with different cms.

And so I was able to use the pin with that reservation so I am psyched!
$89.00 per night for 4 nights at the Coronado.:woohoo:

N2mm was the wonderful Dis'er who helped me. We wouldn't be staying at a moderate without the use of that 40% off code.

I just got my 2009 dvd in the mail today...now that every is getting codes, I keep checking my mail constantly. I really hope one comes eventually...

Hi everyone!

We are going to Disney September 19-27! I got the 40% discount in an e-mail the other day and didn't think anything of it because I thought it was just for value resorts. Thanks to reading all of your posts here I realized that wasn't true and I called and booked our rooms yesterday at a moderate resort. We are staying at the CBR.

Thanks again for all the useful information here!

I would like to be added to the watch!

We are booking for sept 20-26 no matter what, but Mannnnnnn I sure would love some discounts! (praying for a pin code)

I got one last year that we couldnt use :(

I am booking a trip for Sept 14-21. Waiting for a code, I don't think I've EVER gotten a code, and I've been going to Disney for years... but here's hoping!

My trip will span 2 months: 8/23 - 9/6. I have the 40% PIN, but I will be staying in a Value, so it isn't much help (though I'll take it :) ). When I called to check the rates with the 40% PIN, the discount was less than 40% - not sure how they calculate it, but it came up about $250 short of 40%.

At any rate, I have never used free dining and hope to do so this year...

:goodvibes

Don't worry about the length of time until you go. I just started reading a pre TR for someone not going until end of Sept which is when we are going as well. :cool1: I have my 3 ring binder with dividers AND all kinds of stuff left from our last visit AND I can't seem to stay off the DIS boards!! AND, we haven't booked anything yet!

So, keep planning and you'll be ready for when it does happen!:) Beside, that's half the fun!

I just decided to come back to the board and check it out. My family is going in September 2009, as well. My wife turns 40 on 9/18/09, and we will be there 9/12-9/19. I keep reading about a 40% code, and have no idea what that means. I have also heard about the free DDP in past years. Would someone kindly get me up to date on what the 40% code is, and how to apply it. I would be very gracious, and thankful not to have to read through 43 pages and 633+ posts. Is this something that has already been announced?

Thank you for your kindness.

The 40% off is a special code (like a coupon) that Disney randomly gives to people either in their mailing or email list. This code is only good for the room part of your stay.

Free dining is a promo that Disney usually (3 or 4 years running) does from mid August until almost the end of September. The promotion is announced in either late March or early April. You pay 'rack' room rate and there is a set number of rooms at each resort - so it almost always books up fast, especially at the values.

Which one is a better deal not only depends on where you're staying but the number of people in your party.

Hope that helps. :)

Were going in Septemer 11-25 too . I honestly can't believe I just found this site! We go to Disney every year and I being a native Floridian have been there 50+ times. Now that I live in the frozen tundra of the Northeast I get Disney withdrawl every 6 months and have to start planning a trip.

to early to do Disney Math... which is better.. the 40% or the free dining .. basic dining that is... :headache:

I think it depends were you are staying....if you are at one of the values dining is better if you are at a deluxe 40% off is better...Mods too early for me too I just happen to remember about values and deluxes :lmao:
