Sept 2004 - how soon can we start real planning?

We have just set our next WDW trip for Sept 8-18, 2004. I know we can't start looking for airfare until 330 days ahead. But what about other things, like hotels, rental cars and park tickets? How early do you look for the best deals?

i buy park tickets as soon as we can afford it and as soon as we know how long we will be going for. that way you are protected against future price increases. of course, you can't buy all types of tickets ahead of time (like uph's), but we usually go with park hopper's. as far as hotels, i usually don't make a ressie until closer to the date, but you can reserve a room up to 10 years in advance (so i've heard).

I'm planning a family reunion for Aug. 7-14, 2004 and I've been at it for almost a year and a half!! Trying to coordinate so many people to arrive at the same time, spend time together, etc. takes a lot of planning!!!! There are some ps that you can do a year or two in advance!!! Some things are closer to the date, but you can buy tickets whenever you want. DH and I are buying AP's for this trip so we can save on a deluxe resort (hopefully).

I would book your hotel now which will of course be at this year's rack rate but you can apply discounts when they come out for your dates. Planning is half the fun! Oh BTW, you actually can purchase UPH passes ahead of time if that's the type of pass you'll be using. Purchasing them ahead of time will save you some money. 2004 pass prices aren't out yet but should be soon.

Castillo Mom is right, book your hotel now. Once you receive your conformation number you can make reservations for the hoop de due or the poly review. Seating is based on the time you made your reservations.
