San Jose - Diridon Station (near the HP Shark Tank) - now don't forget we'll be "down" in the lowly steerage seats - not sure if they'll let you down there without having to shovel coal.....

HI kids! I haven't been online here since our last Disney Cruise here in southern California onboard the Magic. Now we are embarking on our second cruise onboard Wonder. We will be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary and we are bringing two new passengers. My 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter.

We have been looking forward to this for awhile now and cannot wait.

Looking forward to Pirates Night as well, savvy?:rolleyes1:banana::banana:

So what is it like to Cruise onboard with a 2 and 5 year old????

Welcome to the thread!

I have no experience traveling with children, as I don't have any. But I just wanted to welcome you to our little niche of the forum. :)

I was on this same cruise! I had such a great time on this cruise.

My BFF Stephanie (Steffy) and I were on this cruise also!! We both celebrated turning 60 on this cruise and had the best time ever!!

I would think that a 2 & 5 year old will be so much fun :yay: They will be in such awe of everything - so cute. You will be close to the room for naps and quiet time. Nice family time that you don't have to pack everything up to go out - just walk out your door.

Remember Mom and Dad time too :woohoo:

:hippie:

When do we find out what nights are pirate night/formal night/casual night and such?

I called the cruise line today and asked that question. There are no formal nights, only on cruises of 7 days or longer. No t-shirts, cutoff's shorts, etc are wanted, but I was told that a good pair of jeans is fine for dining in the main areas. Semi formal, I guess might be the word I'm looking for, though those with more cruise experience may know better. Better than cruise casual??

Now, that being said, I was also told that the 3rd night is a "dress up" night. I was told that they will go around in the dining room and take pictures of you for you to buy, but it seemed that how "dressed up" you wanted to be was up to you.

The 4th night would be Pirate night. There will be lots of pirates on board but they are all friendly pirates so please leave your realistic weapons at home. Not sure about the fakey fakey ones. The only unfriendly pirate on board will be Captain Hook.

That's the word I got today, if anyone hears differently, please post and let us all know. Gotta find me a pirate outfit...argh!
