Sept 20,2011 Wonder Repositioning Cruise

Perfect - TA is all set to link us up and possibly MaKayna as well - she is checking with DH. Realized you ladies are just down the hall from us (we are in 6090) - LOVE your Amazing Race attitude!! living life on the edge - can't beat it!!! We are taking the train Sat night from San Jose to Vancouver - well really to Seattle where we will t/fer to a bus and get into Vancouver at 1:20 am but its a short taxi ride from the train station to the Pan Pacific (which is the hotel at the harbor) and i'm hoping to have a harbor view. We will tour Vanc all day Monday and tuesday a.m. have a laid back leisurely morning sipping coffee watching them prepare the ship for our arrival :) enjoy Hawaii - Aloha!!!

He's all for it. What info do you need? Just our res #? I can PM that to you. Just let me know if there's anything else that's necessary to link them. :)

Well, we don't have stateroom number yet. Should I wait until I get that?

Here is info that I copied from my documents.

CRUISE CONFIRMATION CODE: 24126186

Under the name: Diane Erickson

Let me know if this is the correct #. I'm leaving for Hawaii in the morning. So I may not get a chance to check the postings to this site until I return on the 13th.

Donna and I are coming from So. Cal., Murrieta to be exact. We are 1 hour from Disneyland and 1 Hour from San Diego in the Temecula wine country. We are flying into Seattle on Monday morning, staying @ the Hyatt in Seattle and taking the train in to Vancouver on Tues. morning. Train arrives @ 11:40 am, so I know we will be cutting it close on time, but like taking the "Amazing Race" attitude. Worse case sceanario is we pick up the boat in Vancouver.:scared1:

My sister in law lives in Murrieta!!

i will ask our TA

They will only need the reservation number and full name of the lead passenger.
(I've done this as a TA before).
It was brought up that you'll want to make sure that you only link the dining and not the staterooms, other wise YOUR location could have an affect on where THEIR room is. :)

that's what i thought we needed from our last cruise....and don't know if Makayna & DH want to be on the 6th floor or not, so think it's better to link them after they get their cabin no

So if we specifically state that we want to link dining reservations ONLY, we won't be affected by where they are, right? Would we need to actually CALL then to have that done? Probably if we tried to link online, we wouldn't be able to do that, right?

That *should* be correct, but you never know Disney. They could see that your dining is linked and just assume that you want to be roomed close to each other too...

If you used a Travel Agent you will need to have them do this for you. I would suggest having them (or you if you booked through Disney yourself) call in and link them that way and stress to the CM that you want ONLY the dinning linked and not your rooms.

The other option is to wait until after you have your room assignment.

that's the way i understand it as well...Colleen is a Disney travel expert and linked the 20+ of us for last cruise dining (no one's rooms got moved) but i also don't recall if anyone had a GTY at the time either...i've never had one, so don't know how that works...so whatever you're comfortable with....now or after your room assignment (when do they give those?)

My mom and I are excited for this cruise, my husband is coming along :) I have been on the Magic three times but never the wonder. My husband and I are doing the repo and my mom is staying on for the Mexican Riviera. We are in an inside cabin and will use my mom's balcony :)

We are flying into Seattle on Saturday, taking the train to Vancouver on Sunday morning (very early). We are staying in the Renaissance on the Waterfront. Have a free night certificate so makes the cost more reasonable.

With a day and a half to wander Vancouver I am not sure what we will do but I have the summer to prepare.

Made reservations for High Tea in Victoria through Open Table so saved a bit of money over the Disney Excursion Price. Hoping to have brunch in Palo but can't reserve that for a few more days so will have to see if anything is left!

Looking forward to a log to relaxation on board!:cool1:

oh too bad you're not taking the train up to Vancouver - that's what we're doing...leaving San Jose Sat night at 8:30ish - have to t/fer to a bus at Seattle, but arriving Vanc sunday a.m. at 12:20 i think...so that we also have all day Monday and tues a.m. to tour Vancouver

anyone heard of spreadshirt.com? They have a lot of different colors and styles of shirts, and the prices seem quite good...

...(when do they give those?)

Your guess is as good as mine. :confused3

We are taking the train from Seattle to Vancouver. Anyone taking the train Monday morning (the 19th)? :)

well hopefully sooner than later...let us know when you get to Vancouver if you want to hook up for a mini meet - going to throw an option out to everyone who will be in Vancouver about possibly getting together at our hotel (Pan Pacific) for "Happy Hour" Monday night....the ship should be in Port...

i haven't - but should we give them a try? I'm sure it probably makes more sense to place a larger order rather than individual orders??

FWIW, some of the people used TAs to link their dining. Some had conceirge link their dining. They all knew just to link dining. I think it affected upgrades and just caused general mayhem. If it were me I would wait to link dining until well after the July PIF date near the begining of August when it appears DCL does the upgrade shuffle and assigns all the GTY cabins.

Just my two cents.

We'll be getting in around 9:30 Monday morning. We're still up in the air with our Vancouver plans. I think happy hour at the Pan Pacific sounds like a winner. :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

We were looking at this one tour that sounded nice. To tell the real truth, Terry really wants to go zip-lining, but no one in our party is up to the task. She really wants to cross the suspension bridge. I'm a wuss.:lmao:

Please tell me more about Open Table. I know that booking Tea at the Empress directly saves a bit of money over doing the tour and tea...but I've never heard of Open Table.
