Sept 20,2011 Wonder Repositioning Cruise

What time does the spa tour start? I think I'd like to do that as well, but I also want to do the DIS meet up. :)

Thanks Michael...I just feel so out of the loop. Mind you...I'm an incredibly lazy vacationer....I'd be surprised if I actually utilize 1/4 of what's offered! the research merely helps me pass the time.

Can't wait to buy you that drink! :flower3:

I promise not to hunt you down for it! LOL When Marc and I cruise we RARELY do all that is offered. My lord, you'd need 3 or 4 vacations from the vacation if ya did it all! People are sort of in shock when they find out how much time we DON'T spend in the parks when we do Disney (shhhhhhh.....don't tell!!)

LOL!!! this is my 5th cruise and i've always done the spa tour and been able to hit the 3 pm Dis meet (seems that they've always been at 3)...so didn't know there'd be a conflict either...but maybe we just hurried thru the spa tour too fast :(

The tours can be fun! I haven't won on Disney but when we were on NCL a few years back the mini-facial I won was heaven!! Don't pass up a chance to win something!!! (Oh, the mini-facial became mini-er because I had a beard at the time. That cracked up everyone who wanted it!!!)

I'm the same way!!
Ask Mike about me...they have to bribe me into the parks early with promises of coffee and such. Once, Mike even drove to my hotel to get us for park opening! I just don't like working hard on my vacation!!

I envision a lot of lazy around the pool with iced coffee in my hand for this trip....:cloud9:

I'm with you....our first cruise we did a lot, but then i started to appreciate "relaxing near the pool" or at the Cove Cafe!!!!:cloud9:

An idea....anyone looking to "link" dining reservations with Dianne & I?? I've done this in the past with our Dis friends and have really just gotten to know them as real friends....(and you're not "stuck" at a dining table with absolute strangers). Our 1st cruise with our table group was great...2nd cruise...not soo much :( 3rd & 4th we linked up and everyone had the BEST time...anyway, if anyone is interested, we have 2nd seating and would love to have ya...

Janice,,, Stephanie and I would love to do a DIS meet but at 3:00pm is the Spa tour and we wanted to take our two friends to see it. They also have a drawing for a free spa service. Could we make it for the next day since 2pm might be too early or we could do it right after the lifeboat drill? Or even between the early and late dining? Just throwing out some options.

If my memory serves me at all, I believe the tours started at 2:00 and the drawing is at 3:00. It took all of 10 minutes, so we could come down right after. I think that's what we did on the WBTA. :dance3::dance3:

Hiya, Stef! Will be great to see y'all again!!

Nate and I probably wouldn't mind doing that. I'll ask him if that's OK. ;)

That sounds great! That's probably what we'll do then too. :)

So you think 3:00 would work for you then?

How about you Terry?

I would like to do this except that we have early dining

Another option could be to meet up in the cruise terminal. If we made it for before boarding starts, but at a time when most should be there already that could work?

This is kind of hard to do, since people will be arriving at different times and boarding at different times, and most of us are not really familiar with the cruise terminal in Vancouver.

So how many people can fit at one table for dinner?

We are a group of 6 for early dining, but would be happy to add more to the table :)

How do you know these things???? :headache:

Can someone please tell me where to find more detail info for this cruise?? I mean if it weren't for the Disboards I wouldn't know about Pirate night, or semi formal night...

This will be our fifth cruise, and I still haven't done everything....

Don't go crazed, Rosie!! Some folks have been a few DCL jaunts and know EXACTLY what, where, and when things are. Plus, the first day Navigator will have this info (Spa tours, etc) and you'll receive that as you check in.

I say, just skip the lifeboat drill and have a drink!!!! (just kidding!!!!)

Have you booked with a TA or directly with Disney? They may not even have everything set for the various dinners and such as it still isn't even at final payment date yet. If you have booked with a TA, put that person in charge of finding this stuff out for you. If you've booked directly with DCL, you should be able to call up and speak to a reservationist and find out if there are dinner rotations set as of now.

Michael

Our first cruise was a four day on the Wonder, I went wine tasting cooking demonstrations, towel folding, napkin folding, karaoke nights, all the shows, two excusions and a movie or two. It was exhausting!

I've learned to slow down since then.....

We have cruised before and you just remember these things. ;)

Just keep asking us questions, we can help.

Stephanie, you are right. The spa tour starts earlier than 2pm but the drawing is just before 3pm. I checked our Navigator and you are correct.

The four of us are scheduled for the early dining. We tried the late dining and just could not handle it.

A 3pm DIS meet will be great.

Sometime in the near future I will finally get my TR done from our 14 day TA.

I do want to try any of the drink tastings that we hope they will offer. Loved the martini tasting the best!!

oh darn :( but totally understand

I think only 8, but we can request that our tables are next to one another....

Dianne & i will have all day monday and tuesday a.m. before boarding to 'sightsee' Vancouver...is there any "must sees" and what's the best way to get around?...i'm sure it's a beautiful city....

If the weather is nice I like to rent bicycles on Denman Street and cycle around Stanley Park. From the seawall there are great views of the ocean and mountains, plus you can see the stacked rocks that you can't see from the roadway. The ride is fairly flat, so even those not in the best shape can do it.
If you like shopping I would hit Granville Island or Robson Street.

If you love ice cream you need to hit La Casa Gelato. This is a family business where they make there own ice cream with over 200 flavours for sale. Some of the sound terrible like wasabi, or gorgonzola.
If you like sushi I would try Tsunami Sushi on Robson St. You can sit at the bar and watch the suchi boats float by on the moat. You just pick up and eat what interests you.
The Vancouver Art Gallery also has some interesting exhibits in September.
