Sept 20,2011 Wonder Repositioning Cruise

We also looked into a limo for our group of 6, and got a quote for $99us. I think we are going to go with that :) Hoe fun to get picked up in a limo!!

Oh oh. That sounds marvelous! What limo company? We are setup with DCL to go to VGC. Since there are 4 of us, that would be $120.00 I would love to do a limo for $99. We would tip nicley!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm seeing POTC when my fiancé comes to town next weekend! :cool1:
YAY!!!!

OK, I just found my box of necklace stuff (I found the bag last week... this week, I found the box. LOL! ;)). And, I've got light brown, green, blue (2 different colors - light and dark), purple, orange and I DO have pink! :) No red. :( So, those are the string choices. You can choose up to two colors. Then I'll do the best I can with the beads matching what I've got to the colors depending on what looks best. I'm excited to be making some necklaces and bracelets! I've been needing a new FE project! Getting bored with the current one! LOL! :rotfl:
oh how about light brown and pink for Dianne & I....you're the best!!! guessing 16 - 18" works for the necklaces?

Speaking of FE gifts - i'm looking to order mine...but wondering if someone is keeping track of the number of participants & what the cut off should be to sign up so i don't order too many or more importantly too few....

So I read on one of the cruise threads that one can asked to be placed on a waiting list for a dining seating if what you asked for was not available when you originally booked. Contacted my TA a few weeks ago, asked to get on the list for the main dining seating since I think DS4 will be too tired for the late one, and it came through yesterday! :yay:
I'm thinking this means people are starting to cancel as the PIF gets closer from this cruise .... When I saw that all the inside and many of the outside cabins were selling out, thought this cruise might be crowded and the possibility for pixiedust: upgrades might be less likely. Kinda curious if a bunch of people just booked a spot since it looked like a really affordable option and are now going to cancel. (Not anybody on this thread, but in general.)

I think Jenn should be involved in setting a cutoff date as she is the one that started organizing it.

I am thinking we may do the Disney excursion, as it is our first cruise and I want to see what it is like and kind of get the full experience. It will also most likely be the only excursion we do, as I have not seen anything else that looks interesting.

okay...no worries at all - you will have a great experience...i wouldn't mind doing the DCL bus just not sure of their schedule...hoping to see a bit more of Victoria too

Just heads up for any people that are leaving a car in Vancouver and flying back to get it afterwards - Comfort Inn at the Airport has a park & fly/ruise option for $139 that includes up to 14 days free parking and 1 night accom.

So we will drive to Comfort Inn YVR on 19th - stay over - leave the car, free shuttle to YVR - skytrain direct to Canada Place cruise terminal and fly back after DL trip.

Donna and I would be interested. I was so surprised to hear that Gray Line Tours is no longer doing tours from their Victoria location in front of the Empress Hotel down to Buchart Gardens. Seemed like a thriving business and about $30 less per person than the cruise ships. The actual admission into the Gardens is only $29 plus tax for a total of $32.48 that leaves $52.52 per person of the $85 Disney charges for transportation. Nice profit !!!!

I found another tour company that will be replacing Gray Line tours for Buchart Gardens tours. They leave from downtown Victoria as well and their price is $50 per person. This company is also the providers for the shuttle service from the cruise port to downtown for $7.50 per person round trip. That makes the total $57.50 per person. Or 4 people can share a taxi for about the same price. $15 each way.

Here is a link to the website.

I think this is the one I"ll take unless someone comes up with a small private group. I like leaving from downtown and getting a chance to walk around the Empress, Government St. and do a little shopping. All the things I would miss if I did the Disney excursion. Along with an extra $30 in my pocket for souvenirs.

I saw this site last night and didn't realize the entrance fee was part of the $50.00 - this may be better than a taxi for the 7 of us....Taaren - does this sound like a good plan for your family?

Thank you for posting this! I emailed our TA to ask as well, figuring it would be a long shot, but just got the email that we've been moved to the first seating. That's a bit of a relief as I was worried how cranky my kids (well, and me!) might get eating that late :cool1:

I'm a little worried about having late seating. I live in the Midwest, and will be moving to the West Coast just a few days before we set sail. We have late seating and I wouldn't dream of ever asking for early seating because I read here all the time about too many families not having early dinner and just ordering room service or going to the quick food places instead of eating in the dining rooms. So, since it's just the two of us, I would never, ever even think about asking for early seating. But the 8:30 seating will feel like 10:30 for me. And the last time I went to the West Coast (this past February), my sense of time was so messed up! I was going to bed at 8pm and waking up at 4am every day! And normally, I don't go to bed until 1 or 2 in the morning here, but for some reason, when I was out there, I was clocked out by 9pm!!! :confused3 I know it was just due to the time adjustments and that my body was in a fit due to the time differences, but still... it was pretty hard to cope for the first few days. So now, we'll be cruising a few days after I move out there, and I'm not sure that I'll be adjusted to the time differences yet! I have a feeling that I'll be konked out by 8pm and FH will be dining alone (well, with 2-10 complete strangers, of course ;)). Hopefully, I'll be adjusted to the new times by then. Let's hope! :)

I love how Disney is so accommodating (when they can be & i do think they always try), but it's great too that when you know 2nd dining is too late for your little ones that you're asking to move....ever been in a dining room with an 'out of control tired babe kicking & screaming'??? We were for an entire week....felt so bad for all of them... ALTHO i KNOW NONE of OUR KIDS would have be out of control ;)

Thanks. I hope you're right. I'm sure I'll be STARVING by 10:30pm Pam Time when we eat, but since there's no shortage of food on the ship, I'm sure I'll do alright on that front. I just hope that I can stay awake long enough to make it through dinner and not konk out in my soup! LOL! :rotfl:

I'm from Missouri but will be moving to Washington after the wedding.

oh no - you won't starve!!!! We usually order the cheese plate to have with wine before you go to the shows/dinner...it's just enough to tide you over till dinner and then you're not famished!!!

Looking forward to participating in the FE gift exchange. Have some fun ideas in mind.:yay: 2A Donna and Diane cabin 6047 .....husbands going golfing, wives going crusing...guess who's gonna have more fun. :woohoo:
Just going back thru some of the pages and ran across this post....LOL - I definitely KNOW will have WAAAAY more fun!!! My DH refuses to 'even try' cruising....ugggghhhh - thats really one part of him that i don't like very much...BFF Dianne is not married anymore....the two of us do ALOT of Disneyland together...started when our kids were small now they're grown and married (well i have one son in college)...so the two of us still go - we LOVE DL!!! anyway - looking forward to meeting you

Leaving you all. Well, I know I haven't been active - I posted awhile back but have been lurking since. The reason is that I found out I was pregnant RIGHT after we booked! Unfortunately I miss the 24 week cutoff by two weeks. So since it looks like this pregnancy is viable, we just canceled. The good news is we rebooked for the June 28 Alaska! Just hoping my morning sickness is 100% gone by then. Hope you all have a WONDERFUL cruise!
