Hi, I am unable to take part in the FE exchange but would like my info listed in the first post as well, if possible. My travel party is Natalie, age 25(me) and Bailee, age 23, in room 7578. Also if you could add "desperately seeking castaway club lanyard donation," I would really appreciate it. If you can't for whatever reason, I would of course understand. Thank you!

END OF UPDATES

Anyone else going on this repositioning cruise? I am feeling really lonely about this.

Plan to use this as an opportunity to visit Vancouver again and to see Disneyland after a 15 year absence. Hopefully I can use my DVC points to get a room at the Grand Californian.

Also excited at seeing Victoria for the first time!

Greetings to one and all aboard the Cruise.

I've been hoping to do this one, but it looks like we'll have to wait until the next year. I'll be interested in hearing about your trip and what it is like. If they have the same cruise next year, we'll want to do that one. I don't live very far from Vancouver and we'll want to go back to Disneyland by then, so this would be perfect for us. :)

I have added your thread to the cruise meets list :thumbsup2

Feeling a little lonely here but thought I should introduce my little crew.

I will be traveling on this trip with my wife Amy. Hopefully we both will be retired at the time of this cruise. Also hopefully our oldest will have moved out of the house and our youngest will be a senior in college ( Moore College of Art and Design - Philadelphia).

We are from New Jersey within minutes of the Rutgers University main campus, halfway between New York City and Philadelphia.

We look at this trip as a good way to visit Vancouver, Disneyland and LA area again.

We have gone on two 4-Night Bahamian Disney Cruises and this will be our third cruise.

We enjoyed visiting with other DisBoard Members on one of our cruises and hopefully will repeat that on this cruise.

See you there.:yay:

:cool2:

My husband and I will be on this cruise as well. :)

This will be our second Disney cruise. We did a 4-night Bahamian cruise in January and got hooked.

We are from the UK and are using this cruise as an excuse to visit Vancouver (and we'll be going to Seattle as well) and revisit Disneyland.

So looking forward to it already!

Welcome to our little cruise. Seatle is beautiful and you should enjoy it! I remember he fish market, the coffee, the mountains in the distance(volcanoes) and the Seatle Underground tour. One time when we flew out of there they went right over Mt St. Helens.

I see your from Southhampton - we stayed in Winchester and Salsbury which I believe isn't too far from your location. A really pretty place to go on Holiday!

Winchester and Salisbury are just down the road. I love Winchester and go shopping there whenever I can!

I lived in Marlboro, NJ when I was quite young, which isn't very far away from you if I remember correctly.

We are still trying to decide whether it will be feasible to do both Vancouver and Seattle in the 5 days before the cruise. There's so much to do in Vancouver!

/
Marlboro is near where I work.

My family ranks cities as 1,2 or 3 days by whether you can get an good overview in that many days. My family would rank both cities as 3 day cities if you don't have a car. I think that you can get a good taste for each city in 2 days if you have a hotels downtown and a plan.

If you have a car each of these cities have enough interesting things around to keep you busy for as many days as you can add. The Pacific Northwest is a very dramatic and beautiful place with many hiking opportunities.

We just finished our vacation that included the West Bound Transatlantic Cruise and booked this cruise onboard as it is closer to home; we live in Oregon.

We are looking forward to this cruise, even though it is a year away.

We had a great time with fellow WBTA DISers and for us it was a cruise of a lifetime.

Looking forward to meeting more DISers on this cruise. :dance3:

Chiming in and joining up! We reshopped this cruise while on the WBTA. Our plan was always to join her as she sailed south from Vancouver and then spend a few days at D'land. Saving a few pennies by reshopping it while onboard certainly helped keep it fresh!

This will be our first visit back to D'land since moving SOB in July. Looking forward to seeing all of our CM friends there, too!

Michael (and Marc)

Welcome
Tim and ...
Michael and Marc

Looks like people are finally coming out of the woodwork for this cruise.

See you in almost a year.

Tim, wasn't that just a wonderful cruise? We are finally back into the swing of life without a buffet breakfast every day (though I am missing my newly-found 6th food group: BACON!) and getting ready for next year's vacation.

There were so many Dissers on that cruise that there was no way to get to know everyone but it was a great time, that's for sure!

Thanks for the welcome, Bob and Amy. We are Michael and Marc, two guys who just retired last year and moved from Los Angeles to a great little town in central Mexico, San Miguel de Allende. Still getting used to living SOB (South of the Border) but getting the hang of it more and more each day. Time to start hitting the Spanish-language classes hard!

This will be our 8th DCL cruise and we have more planned down the road. While we've cruised on other lines in the past, in DCL we found our niche; we find ourselves quite happy onboard!

BTW, I hope no one minds but somehow this meets thread got put in the trip report section of DCL. I've asked one of the moderators if they could move us up to the meets area.

We'll be chatting with y'all over the next year and will see you in Vancouver!

Michael

Hi everyone! I'm so looking forward to this cruise!

I had completely looked at the wrong calendar and was looking at 2010 dates and not 2011. We will be flying from the UK to Seattle for 3 days, then taking the Amtrak Cascades up to Vancouver for another 3 days before setting sail! Then it's 5 days in LA before coming back home. :(

Still looking for hotels in Vancouver, but we'll be staying at a Kimpton property in Seattle and taking advantage of their 15% discount when travelling by train.

This will be our 2nd Disney cruise, we did a 4-day Bahamian in January. Froze our butts off, but we loved it!

Dani,
We just read about the Amtrak trip from Seattle to Vancouver a few days back and decided that that's what we're going to be doing as well. I have a sister who lives in Seattle so we'll probably mooch off her for a few days before we head up to the other border country. We haven't decided if we'll fly out of Mexico City or take a bus up to Texas and fly nationally from the states yet. Plenty of time to think about that, I guess!

We might have froze our butts off on the same cruise - did it set sail on Jan 3rd. Took my daughter and sister for their first cruise walked onto Castaway Cay, walked to the water and then walked right back on the ship. If it wasn't for the spa and the hot tubs I would not have used my bathing suit.

It was a "Magical" cruise and we are still going through withdrawals. And going through 2,000 pictures.

We decided we couldn't leave well enough alone! We just added the next cruise (Mexican Riviera) to this itinerary. The 14 nights on the WBTA just got us going, I guess! We will now be on the Wonder for 12 nights - Woo Hoo!!

Michael

Hello all! DH and I just booked this cruise to celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary. We are so excited!

Michael, I saw that you were doing B2B on the WBTA thread. We would love to do Mexico also, however we are sailing with our daughter this time and have commited to doing Disneyland after arriving in LA. I know it will be a short trip, 5 nights, compared to 14 nights before, but we will make the best of our 5 nights/days.

Nothing wrong with 5 nights, that's for sure! And finishing it with a stay at D'land is a topper! We'll be doing the same once we return from the Mex Riviera cruise; 4 extra nights at the Villas of the Grand California. This will be our first visit back since moving south. We are definitely looking forward to that!
