Sept 19th,2004 revisited.....

Amanda just called me live from AK and it sounded like they were having a blast. She wanted me to say hi to all! I am soooooo jealous! But hey 15 months can go by fast right! Right?!!! :earboy2:

Getting...she got us, the dog that is. The day DH called about the dog (5/31) he brought Reese home. Reese is named after the candy bar b/c of her color. She's been a pretty good dog. If only she'd go #2 outside!

Just wanted to share w/ you all what I received in my e-mail acct. this fine A.m. re: passports

Dear Mame,

Last month, the US Department of State announced a plan called the "Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative," designed to enhance border security, which will require people traveling between the United States and the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada to have a passport to enter or re-enter the United States. Citizens of the United States, Canada, Mexico and Bermuda will be affected.

Currently, passports are recommended, but not required, for travel to and from the destinations above. The new requirements are expected to be rolled out in phases according to the following schedule:

Beginning December 31, 2005, a passport will be required for all air and sea travel between the United States and the Caribbean, Bermuda, Central and South America. All foreign nationals from these areas, and US citizens returning from these areas, will be required to show a passport to enter the United States.

Beginning December 31, 2006, a passport will be required for all air and sea travel to or from Mexico and Canada. Canadian and Mexican citizens, and US citizens returning from Canada or Mexico, will be required to present a passport to enter or re-enter the United States.

Beginning December 31, 2007, a passport will be required for all air, sea or land travel to and from the above-mentioned destinations.

There are groups lobbying to change this timeline or the requirements, and there's a possibility that could happen, but it's becoming more likely that these new requirements will go into effect as planned. It's also likely that international frequent travelers holding Sentri, Nexus or Fast Cards, or Border Crossing Cards, may not need passports, but no final decision has been made.

Some cruise lines are encouraging anyone without a passport who plans to cruise to one of these areas in 2006 to start the passport application process now, to avoid delays that may occur as applications increase.

You can learn more about the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative on the US Department of State's Web site. For answers to frequently asked questions, click here. Hello, Ladies!!! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Guess I've just been busy (not sure with what~just runnin' around, I guess, cause I've hardly been home).

Have you been busy working on Krystina's Ebay items? You know I'm definately looking for Disney princess items. If you'd like to just list those I'd be happy enough....;)

OMG That dog is adorable! Welcome to the Dis family Reese! Now this passport email, who sent it to you? I really don't care about the passport thing. DH and I have had passports since we were in the Navy and I personally like carrying it instead of my birth certificate. I am really paranoid about id theft. Well I only have two finals and I will be done. The big one for Philosophy is next thursday and I am a little worried about it. But I will be fine, I am sure of it. Hope everyone is having a great friday!

This is for you Amanda-
Einen Schonen Tag noch! (sorry I couldn't make the little line over the o)

Have a Germanrific day!

What a day! I'm exhausted! Just wanted to post hello to you all.

Amanda01, I was wondering, how long is a passport good for? I can't seem to find that basic info.. I still haven't heard from DANA. :(. I'll try calling or e-mailing her again soon, but she must be one busy woman. She seems to be highly requested. :hourglass

Time for sleep! :earseek: :cloud9:

Dzneprincess, you home yet?! We want a report and lots of pictures. o.k.?? :teeth:

Not dzneAmanda, but we are back.. It was wet wet and wetter down there this weekend. I dont think I have ever seen it rain so much in Florida. We actually had to wear ponchos this time. water was standing about 3-4 inches in tomorrow land.

We had a pretty good time. Not the best and not the worst. Next time will be better. Will try and get pictures posted. i have them downloaded to the computer at least.

Taeja, passports are good for ten years. Hope that helps. Well I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was typical northwest weather here, rain and cold. I am in serious need of some sun! :sunny:

:teeth: Hello People! :teeth:

My kids are busy running through the "Sprinkles" (sprinker).

We better kept up the pace of the thread or Amanda will be upset! :earboy2:

posting, posting, posting.

Took found dog to the vet and yes, Reese has a chip in her back. The owner is thinking about keeping her. We should hear something tomorrow regarding her (the dogs) residence with us or back with her.

Let me get this straight, you have the dog in your home, you get attached and pay for food, vet and other dog needs and the owner Might want to keep her? That seems a tad messed up to me. I really hope that dosen't happen. Well my mom and little sister are flying to London on friday. My mom hasen't been on a plane in over 15 years and my little sister has never been on a plane, needless to say they are a little worried. My mom, God bless her, sent me an email detailing where the will is and who gets what of her personally affects if she, my sister and step father are to die. I wish there was some way I could convience her that she will be fine. She is terrified. So if I could get some plane prayers and PD for her and my sister on Friday that would be great.

Ya, its kind of weird right now. We're in puppy limbo. Luckily, we didn't get any of the shots or examinations done yesterday, due to the chip being found first. Whew! Haven't heard from the owner yet. We're giving her space to decide what she wants to do. For the mean time, the kids are enjoying their temporary pet. (((insert chuckle here))).

:wizard: and prayers to your Mom and little sister Amanda. Your mom must be freaked if she gave you the will information.

Here's some pics of San Pedro 5/28/05. Super good friends of ours went to see the Mickey's boat and sent us their pics. I feel so special! :goodvibes
