Sept 19th,2004 revisited.....

I loved both. We actualy docked next to the Wonder in Nassau. Both ships were beautiful. The Navigator is a lot larger and has more things to do such as Putt Putt golf, Rock climbing, ice skating, and roller blading. It also has more food options. There are 2 specialty resturaunts that are comparable to Palo. Chops & Portofino. These are $25 pp to go to instead of the $10 that DCL charges. There is also a sushi bar, Johnny Rockets, Ben & Jerry's, and a cafe in the promenade area. I think that the food was about even in the dining rooms of both. The Wonder definately had a better room service menu. I liked the pools better on the Wonder as well as the Spa. I liked the cabins on the Wonder better. More room and nicer decor. The bathrooms are bigger on DCL also. I didn't bring my son on this trip and did not get to check out the Adventure Ocean Club. I think that the deck parties were better on the Wonder but there are more nightclubs on the Navigator. DCL is definately easier to debark on and their terminal is the best.
All in all, I loved both cruises and would definately go on both cruise lines again. My husband missed the casino on the Wonder so he prefers the RCCL line over the DCL line. We are deciding which to cruise on next year. Cost may be the deciding factor. We'll see.......

I liked the pools better on the Wonder as well as the Spa. The Wonder has fresh water-does RCCL have salt water? My kids are playing a new game, "Lets go on the Mickey boat". It's currently snowing leaving the grass lightly layered with white. I'll let you all know if we get snowed in later.

All of their pools are salt water. I missed the fresh water pools on the Wonder. THey do have fresh water outdoor showers near the pools but its not the same. One of the couples that we were with stayed inthe Royal Suite. WOW!!!! What a place. I can only wish. We visited there often and enjoyed some of the special treatment. Very cool!

Help! I'm baking a ham for a party on Sunday. How do you bake a ham???? This will be my first one! I bought two one is about 7 lbs. and the other is about 8 lbs.

Doing the online album was tedious and long since there were a lot of photos to post, (that's the EEyore in me coming out), but I've enjoyed viewing the fruits of my labor. You guys are the first to view it, as parts of our christmas presents are photos of the kids!

I love posting on our thread, cant' you tell?!

Taeja, your kids are adorable! The photos were great. I am working on getting mine online to view. Soon. I hope.
As for the ham, I bake mine and baste it with a mixture of pineapple juice and brown sugar for about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs or so on 350 degrees. Sometimes I add about a half to a whole can of beer to the baking pan pourd over the ham. This makes it less salty and the ham does not taste like beer. Its my Grandmother's recipe. Usually turns out pretty good.
DZNE , I am so glad that you had a great cruise! I bet you can't wait for the next one. We will be going again next year but I don't know which line we will cruise on. There will be 13-15 of us going and $$$ will be a factor for some. We'll see.....

Well I have good news and bad new. Good news first, I AM DONE!!!! I took my last final yesterday. Have you ever been so stressed that when you were done with whatever was stressing you, you still felt just as tense!

Bad news and need for prayers. My best friend and her DH are mine and DH's couple friend. You know the couple that you go camping with, on vacations with, go to dinner with, everything. Well yesterday BF called to say that she was taking DH to the hospital because his nymonia was really hurting his chest from all the coughing. As it turns out he had a minor heart attack. Here's the kicker, he will be 29 on sunday. I am shocked. He is doing fine. Staying at the hospital for a couple of days, but still, he's younger than me. Has anyone known someone this age to have a heart attack? I refuse to worry because BF is worried enough, but I am just floored by this.

Thanks for the compliments and for the advice for the ham. I just have to get myself to the post office by Sat. to get my packages mailed. I think I'm going to use the stroller for a dolley. The boxes are so bulky and I'd look like an idiot trying to carry them. I'm 60" tall on a good day! Sorry to you Amanda01 for your BF husband. Maybe he coughed himself into a heart attack? Pixie dust to them.

Eeyorefan, I keep thinking about your cruise. How did the disbarkation compare to DCL and how did the tipping compare to DCL? Was the tipping about the same or more/less? I've still got cruising on the brain!

Well, I've got to get dinner going. I have no idea what I'm going to do! Maybe our dinner will magically appear? Doubt it!

This may be a little late but have you thought of buying a Honeybaked Ham? DH and I get one every year and they are great! If there's not a Honeybaked ham store near you, you can order it online. And trust me they have great shipping. Just a thought!!

I did it! I was second in line at the post office. Instead of hitting an early bird special shopping, I wen't to the USPS! My boxes are out the door (my door any way-LOL). I hope they use tlc - we'll see....
