2 WEEKS FROM TODAY WE WILL BE FLYING TO BARCELONA:yay::dance3:

DD Lindsay fell a couple of weeks ago and injured her knee. I keep getting a pain in my wrist that goes away and comes back after 6 months from a fall I had 1 1/2 years ago. (I used to have a pain in my neck but I got rid of him over 10 years ago :rotfl: got married last year on the Wonder:bride:) Since we are leaving in 2 weeks:banana: I decided to see the doctor so we can be in good shape for our cruise. Lindsay and I have been going on the Disney cruises for the past 5 September's to celebrate our birthdays. She'll be 23 on 9/26 and on the 23rd, I'll be .... well let's say older :rotfl: Just us- DH can't get the time off from work.

Finally, took our suitcases out. My goal is to be totally packed by Saturday so I can enjoy having Monday off and not having to run around.

Can't wait to see everyone. :grouphug:

Bev :)

Sandi just called me with WONDERFUL NEWS. Her tests today showed everything is good. :yay::yay::yay::yay: We are going to have a great cruise.

Wonderful news!!:cool1:

Kimberly, I am so sorry, my thoughts are with you and your family....

I feel bad now saying that I had hosp appt today....

, had scan today, all ok, dr felt something on my r kidney, but scan says normal abnormalty, a relief, all my "woman bit" are normal
what a relief, I celebrated my going to debenhams and buying a full length ball gown for villains night, Happy Days.

So glad to hear your good news!:cool1: LOVE the dress!!:woohoo:

YEAH! Thanks to my MIL, Goofy Granny to post my results. I was so happy that I hugged the technician and radiologist!!! They told me to have a wonderful cruise and not be stressed. Glad to hear about your tests too Lynn. What a relief it is and thank you everyone for your prayers.

I see that Paul and I are going to be twins too because all I wear for pirates is the bandana! :lmao:

I feel like going out and buying a dress, not for me, but for my DD. I always do that as a mom, but I will shop for her!!! Maybe she will end up with a villan dress. I am so happy I could scream for joy!

Sue - glad to hear that your magnets arrived. YEAH! It is so close.

I am soooo pleased to hear your good news!!:cool1::cool1: Go on and spoil yourself (and Abby!) :thumbsup2

We went to see Dennis' opthomologist this morning and he said it was a "perfect transplanted lens!" :dance3: Good news from Montana too! :)

That's great news!:goodvib

We are going to be a full puppy but I think lots of couples! No room by the adult pool I suspect!

Nooooooo!!:sad2: That makes me sad not to be by my favourite place!

you may remember i posted a few days ago that DCL had withdrawn my early booking onboard room credit as i had 'amended' my booking - ie offered me the upgrade that i had requested to begin with, which i accepted, and paid more money for (and earlier).

Well i emailed to express my disappointment (nicely), and i am pleased to say that i had an email back this morning advising me that they are crediting my credit card with $300 for the med cruise and the $200 credit will be available for the TA - good times!!

You don't have to be supple to do yoga. Indeed, the point of doing yoga is to increase whatever suppleness you already have. Try it, you'll like it! :hippie:

See You Real Soon!
Richard

I'm really hoping you don't haev to be too flexible or supple!:rolleyes1

Hello, my name is Ana, my husband is Mario and we have a boy, Ruben, who is seven years old, and a girl, Alicia, six years old. You are very kind. We will try to practise our English.I am grateful to you very much for the explanations, though I don´t understand them completely. In the web of transatlantic pirates our disname is MONPORMA. I will copy the logo of the shirts and then I will do shirts for all of us. Is that correct? We will come to Barcelona on the 18th, because I work on the 17th, but I will be delighted if you have any doubt about Barcelona in answering you.Barcelona is a very nice city. You must see the Sagrada Familia, the park Guell, the Port Olimpic and Poblenou. There is a turistic bus with different routes. I advise you that you have care with the pickpockets.

Lovely to meet you! We are Mark & Mandy from the UK and look forward to seeing you onboard :goodvibes

In 15 days I will be on a plane to Barcelona. I sure hope I have the stamina and energy for this trip. I am feeling better but tire very easily. I go back to the doctor next Wednesday for my follow up, so hopefully I will have the approval to go.

Becky I hope you get on ok with your GP, and that you soon recover your strength

Got back from visiting family in the Denver area today and couldn't believe I was 54 pages behind! Hope I didn't miss anything important.

August has been a blur! Not even going to try to catch up since we now have three days to get all my son's stuff packed up and ready to take him back to college in Massachusetts on Saturday (8 hour drive each way). When we get back , we'll be about a week away from leaving for Barcelona.

I try not to stress too much about travel but this cruise just crept up on me...oh well, adds to the excitement!

Looking forward to meeting everyone soon!

Andrea

Welcome back Andrea!:goodvibes

I just realised ......

WE ARE GOING ON THE WBTA DISNEY MAGIC CRUISE THIS MONTH !!!!!!!!

Yes .... after almost 2 years since we booked we have finally reached September 2010 !!! I am really having to pinch myself here :rotfl2:

Starting the Slimfast diet today .... combined with a 12 hour shift on the post-natal ward .... might not be a good combination  I am just off to make my first milkshake for breakfast!

2 weeks tomorrow we will be leaving :woohoo::scared1::woohoo::scared1:

:woohoo::woohoo: and hope the slimfast goes well....don't go mad though Sarah!!

We are Barry and Teresa from Alabama, traveling with DS Andrew (23) and with all of you. Sorry we are too late to join in most of your activities, but we hope to meet many of you on the cruise. We are in room 8042 and on second dining. Have decided to forgo formal nights this trip as it is too much to carry the extra clothing (we have to bring the pirate stuff of course). We are on the flight leaving Atlanta on the 17th arriving on the 18th in Barcelona. Hope to get a quick tour of the city before the cruise. This is my 7th Disney cruise and 7 days never seemed like enough. Will be interesting to see how 14 days will be. I hope everyone has a safe and uneventful trip to Barcelona. See you on the cruise. :mickeyjum

Welcome!! Good to 'meet' you!:goodvibes

I hope your gallbladder behaves. I am still on a low fat diet after having mine out because the pancreas is still not right. I think I am going to have to be serious on this cruise with being so far from medical assistance in a real emergency. A low fat diet is not what you go on a cruise for!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I also can't have alcohol, even in food, so that is a bit of a problem too. Our servers are going to be soooo happy with me.:lmao:

Hope you are ok Marilyn, I know it's an ongoing thing so can be a problem, good luck!

:littleangel:

:welcome:

It is pretty good as long as I am pretty good, I can get away with a little bit of naughtiness, just can't go overboard. I am not good with alcohol either, I am hoping to try a couple of drinks of the day cocktails though, I am going to try 1 a day and see how I go, otherwise it will be Mocktails for me.:goodvibes
Is there a risk to your health if you eat too much fat? I have no risk as I don't have stones, just have to deal with the pain and sickness. Is a drink of the day worth it?? :rolleyes1:)

No. The Drink of the Day is not worth it. You can have just as much fun with the mocktails. There will be plenty of us doing that.

Rene

Welcome Ana. Have you been on a Disney cruise before?

OK, I understand, don't want to risk further damage to you pancreas with any alcohol, totally understandable. ;)
As for a NO fat diet, that is hard on your body, can you have avacado, nuts, seeds or something else with 'good fat'. My naturopath encourages me to have flaxseed oil, apparently it is very good for your gallbladder, I know you don't have one, just thought it may be similar for pancreas?
If I do start feeling sick from my gallbladder I make up a concoction of flaxseed oil, fresh lemon juice and beetroot. It is a miracle worker. I hope they have beetroot on board. :goodvibes

Well flaxseed oil is good for cholesterol levels too and that was getting highr despite the low fat diet!!;) I have some olive oil to finish up and then I will use that. I had forgotten about avacado so must get one. Thanks.

Hope you are ok Marilyn, I know it's an ongoing thing so can be a problem, good luck!

Thanks Mandy. I'm hoping it eventually clears up, though the longer it goes on the more worried I get. Today is a GOOD day though!!:yay:

So I outsmarted myself.....I was not supposed to have my physical until sometime in October....but since I am a Type 2 diabetic I have been on medication that I take by mouth. I figured since we would be on the ship for 2 weeks and probably eating things we never usually eat I would have the physical early. So I had it today--having the blood work last week. Doctor was not happy with the numbers so he is changing my medication to an injectable medication which I have to do myself each day. So now I have medication that needs to be refrigerated and now I have to also carry needles with me. So we will be flying for over 8 hours, so I guess I will have to ask the flight attendants to refrigerate it for me and will have to go through all the security checkpoints with needles. I am so smart....could not just leave things alone until we got back......doctor gave me a note that I need to carry the medication with me on the plane along with the needles....Just something else to worry about.
Tom

Sorry Tom! Don't forget to let DCL know too so they can provide a proper fridge to your room!

You did a wonderful job and it will be so helpful. If I PM you my e-mail is there any chance I could use it has a template for other cruises? Understand if you say no but it think it is just great. Val

I don't really mind. Most of it was stolen/borrowed directly from the DCL website anyway!

My name is Dan and my wife is Cheryl. We are travelling with our son who is also 7. Be sure to sign your children up for Disney's Oceaneer Club. They will love it! I am struggling to learn tourist Spanish, any English that you speak will be better than my Spanish.

:welcome: The longest cruise we ever took was a 5 day, so we are looking forward to a relaxing time.

question: if you travel with medication does it have to be in its original bottle. i work a Dr and get samples of both a gout medication and arthritis medication will i need to get something from her showing she prescribed them?

Ive never needed to. Last time I travelled I was paranoid as was taking 2 different types of inhalers and steroids and couldn't find my perscription. I had the steroids in their like plastic thing but not in the cardboard and didn't have a perscription but had no issues.

Its "starting to panic" time now! I can't believe only 2 more weekends! I have I think only 10 days left in work (can't work it out as I've taken extra days off now so very confused!).

Welcome! Im Sarah and Im travelling with my other half Dan. We are on second dining.

As for formal night - on the second formal night we are having a non-formal dinner in Topsiders that you are welcome to join in on. Have a look at page 1 as there's a link to a Navigator I've made for this cruise that has whats going on each day. There are some things that had to be signed up for but lots that didn't like the yoga and the skipping formal dinner night!

I think we had those bandanas last time we went to Pirate dinner. We don't bother now as I don't particularly like the menu, but will probably go this time with knowing so many people again. Great to see everyone dresed up..

Hey if anyone has bandanas at dinner and doesn't want them or has extra feel free to donate them to us! Were at Palos that night so wont be getting any as I've just realised!

Isn't there a fridge already in the room?

Its not a proper fridge its a drinks cooler which don't go that cold. They replace them with a proper fridge if you need it for medical purposes or so I've been told. The "fridge" we get is cold don't get me wrong just not fridge cold! The Dream however is going to have proper fridges so maybe they will slowly replace the Magic and Wonder ones.

Howdy everyone...two weeks from today we fly to Barcelona. So excited!!

Welcome to all the newcomers and so sorry for all the sorry/medical issues that some of us are experiencing.

We probably will have a few small items for pirate night plus, of course, the bandanas they give at dinner. I will also bring my tiara. It's a special one that I got at WDW.

Can't wait to meet everyone.

Mirando hacia adelante a satisfacerle.

What I said in English

I do not speak any Spanish. I grew up in Canada and we were taught French. It has been years since I spoke that. I did read the three bears in Spanish when I was kid. I had a summer friend who was from Spain. Now if I could only take this web site with me :) But I am good a mime :) I am sure you will have a great time on the cruise.

My name is Ruth. My husband is Glenn. We are from Toronto Ontario Canada. Our Son is an adult and he will be staying home to look after our dogs. Looking forward to meeting you.
Wow, you write excellent Spanish!!:rotfl:

If you are on the Delta flight, you'll be with us and Hoagie Pie! Sounds like our Atlanta Dismeet is getting a little bigger!

Hey if anyone has bandanas at dinner and doesn't want them or has extra feel free to donate them to us! Were at Palos that night so wont be getting any as I've just realised!
You can ask your servers to set some aside for you.

Today is my last day off until we leave for Barcy on the 15th. I have sooooooooooo much to do but I just can't seem to get moving this morning.

Kimberly-sorry to hear about your friend. :grouphug:

I can't believe that we are 14 days from leaving for Barcy!!!!

Now time to get off Dis and get busy since my bedroom looks like a mall blew up in it. And I have to get Amanda's stuff organized too. She is a last minute kind of gal and that makes me crazy!!
