So I outsmarted myself.....I was not supposed to have my physical until sometime in October....but since I am a Type 2 diabetic I have been on medication that I take by mouth. I figured since we would be on the ship for 2 weeks and probably eating things we never usually eat I would have the physical early. So I had it today--having the blood work last week. Doctor was not happy with the numbers so he is changing my medication to an injectable medication which I have to do myself each day. So now I have medication that needs to be refrigerated and now I have to also carry needles with me. So we will be flying for over 8 hours, so I guess I will have to ask the flight attendants to refrigerate it for me and will have to go through all the security checkpoints with needles. I am so smart....could not just leave things alone until we got back......doctor gave me a note that I need to carry the medication with me on the plane along with the needles....Just something else to worry about.

Sorry to hear this. This is a tough disease to get under control.

As PJ said, fill out a medical form for DCL to get a sharps container in your room. If it is not there ask your stateroom host.
So today was a sucessful cruise prep day. I was able to find a pair of pants that my mom is going to shorten into capris as well as a dress that I'm planning on wearing on formal night. It's not that formal, but I really like it and I"m looking forward to wearing it. I got it at Marshall's (sp) - it was originally $99 and I got it for $29.99! I was happy with the deal.
I also found what I'm hoping to give as FE gifts...that is if I can get 8 of them done in less than 2 weeks. Stay tuned! LOL!!!
I LOVE a good bargain like that!
He will now have 20/20 in the right eye, but will still be 20/75 in the left. So, the right eye will see far and the left eye will see close up. His dr said some people love this and some find they cannot tolerate it. If it bothers him then they will do the left eye when we get home and he will have 20/20 in both eyes but will have to wear readers for anything close. He is SO excited that he will be able to focus his camera!!Wow, sounds great. I would need both eyes done because I see nothing without glasses/contacts.
