Since I am making t-shorts for my Pal Mickey, I need to know if anyone has the graphic for the back of our drink tasting shirts. TIA

Do you mean the Jack Rum graphic? I have it in my photobucket - and here it is...

Do they still give out the pirate bandana on Pirate night?

Last September it was half bandanas... So just a triangle, not a square...

Wow! Happy belated b-day by the way . . .sounds like it was special!!

I'm with you on this, too. Sue. It is amazing the feeling of peace and being home we get when step onto the Magic each time. It's one of the highlights of the trip. It is like coming home again.

The CMs are special and make such a difference. On one trip, one of kids decided to crack open one of the glow sticks from the night before and got some of the stuff in his eyes. Our server, (golly now his name is escaping me) helped my hubby carry him to the infirmary (in the bowels of the ship). He checked on him a few times after. On our next trip, he remembered my son and asked him how he was doing from that exciting event. It was at least a year later!

On our last trip, we really connected with our dinner servers. Since they were docking in Norfolk for the two week ship refurb just a week after our trip, we invited them to come to our home for dinner. We know it is difficult for them to get a home cooked meal while on board. My hubby picked them up at the port and we all had a blast that night. We still keep in touch (even though our servers are no longer with DCL).

Well on to waiting to see what Earl decides to do . . .

Theresa 8-)

Yes, the feel of coming home... For me that is a huge part of it... But, so is the look and feel of the ship... Something about the beauty of the ship, combined with the warm welcomes and great CM's... DCl has a great package!!

Hopefully Earl and Fiona will suck the heat out of the waters and we will have a smooth sail.

Sandi just called me with WONDERFUL NEWS. Her tests today showed everything is good. :yay::yay::yay::yay: We are going to have a great cruise.

WOOHOO!!!!!!

WOW Lynne! Gorgeous!!

I must have missed something sometime as I'm not sure what you are on about, but I excited that you are so excited!!!!:yay: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I sent magnets to the ship about 10 days ago and they arrived at the warehouse, and were transferred to the ship while it was in port!! The concierge is going to decorate our door for us as a surprise to the kiddos.

We went to see Dennis' opthomologist this morning and he said it was a "perfect transplanted lens!" :dance3: Good news from Montana too! :)

YIPPEE!!! More good news!!!

How exciting!! I bet your family will be thrilled to arrive at your stateroom to see all the magnets waiting for you!!

I hope so! They still think we are in room 8002! So, we have to go walking down the hall looking at the doors, and see if they see their names! I love surprising them - and hope that Stephen is OK with this one... lst year the cruise was a surprise and he was, well, snotty about it = as he felt we were wrong to surprise him - he wanted in on the planning... Some times he can be a party pooper...

Kimberly, my heart is breaking for you. Such a rough spot that you have hit of late. I think that you were fortunate for getting to spend time with your dear friend. I imagine it is bitter sweet now, but in the months and years to come, the memory will fill your heart.

No we will already be on the boat. On Thursday the 16th we'll be in Monte Carlo, actually...our last port on the Med cruise and then the 17th is a sea day and then we're back in Barcelona on the 18th to pick all of you up! :)

Just wanted to say I bookmarked your blog page and will be reading it with anticipation :thumbsup2

Really pretty dress, Lorraine!!! I'm glad we're on the same end of the ship. We're only 2 levels down, but how many categories??? Way different from cat 3 to cat 11!!! LOL! I'm not jealous, just happy we're both on the ship!:)

Florida weather?

OK...so I have actually been TRYING to avoid looking at the weather. We love traveling to Orlando in September because crowds are often lighter after Labor Day and it's cheaper to use points, etc....but the sucky thing is hurricanes.

My mom emailed me this morning and wanted to know if Earl & Fiona (the two storms in the Atlantic right now that will probably be impacting the East Coast over the weekend) are goign to affect our trip. I honestly didn't know because, like I said, I've been avoiding looking at it (because it's not like we will change our vacation plans :rotfl2:).

Anyhow...any of you Floridians have a sense? I looked on weather.com and it looks like the weather forecast for WDW area is actually decent for the whole weekend until Monday when tehre will be scatter T-storms....adn it looks like both the storms are going to stay out to sea----and Earl will already be up by New England by Sunday(ish). So is the Orlando area expecting either storm to really impact them? And what about us B2B folks who are flying out of Orlando and/or Atlanta on Monday afternoon----is either storm expected to mess up our travel? (Fiona looks like she is going to be in the northern Florida/Georgia area on Sunday/Monday but she's not that strong----50mph, right? Although I'm not a pilot or a meteorologist...so I ahve no idea what the impact of 50mph winds over the ocean would be on a TransAtlantic flight).

I guess we're lucky that our flight has us arriving more than a day early...so if we do have delays, all we lose is Barcelona time...and no ship time! :)

Local weatherman here in Orlando says Earl and Fiona should not cause any real problems.

Hello. We are the only Spanish family of the trip. Our knowledge of the English language is very limited, but if you need some information of Barcelona I will be charmed with of providing it. Do anyone of yours speak spanish?

I speak some Spanish and am trying to get more proficient. Perhaps we can practice on each other.

Hello everyone -

I was last on Page 111, so if there's anything between when Gizmo Sarah published the nearly final mini-navigator and now, I've missed it. So if there was anything specifically addressed to me, please PM me. I do know I have some hotel and flight updates to make, so I'll try to get to those this weekend.

The last six days have been a whirlwind and haze. One of my friends, Becky, for the past 27 years was told last week she had two days to live. They found she had pancreatic cancer after they believed she just had a kidney stone. She had better predictions a few days before that, to the point that she would go home and start chemo that would prolong her life for about a year. Not sure if she had really even decided to move forward on that plan or not. Everything just changed SO fast. I'm thankful that three other friends and I got to be with her all of her last day on Earth on Saturday. So for those who believe, please pray for her mom who's now lost her soul mate and her first born. They are an extremely close family, and anywhere you saw Becky, her mom was with her. Parents just shouldn't have to watch their children come in and out of the world. I'm getting ready to head back to my hometown for calling hours tonight and her funeral tomorrow, so her family really needs some extra strength in the next 24 hours and beyond.

Then....I have to get back home for Lisa's memorial on Thursday. She's the one who I told you drowned in the Atlantic on August 15. I highly encourage all of you to "Like" the group "Shea It Forward" (like pay-it-forward) on Facebook in honor of her. Share random acts of kindness that you've given out or received. It's so enriching to see how wonderfully selfless people can be.

I hope everyone's pre-boarding plans are being executed and everyone's really excited. I have to admit that I've had a hard time with my checklist nor desire to read the boards, but thankfully I had a huge jump start on my packing. See...things happen for a reason.

My mom is going to come down and stay with me Friday. We're going to finally go see the Titanic exhibit at COSI here in Columbus. Its exhibit is over here on Monday, so we had to get it in this week since we failed to do it earlier. Despite the timing, I'm looking forward to seeing it. I was so disappointed when it was here last time and I missed it. This time, they have artifacts that haven't ever been displayed to the public before, so I guess it will be even better.

On Thursday night or Friday, I'll try to get back on and stick with you all until we begin our adventure! I really can't wait to be with all of you. Many of you have been soooo supportive to me on Facebook (you know who you are!), and I really really appreciate it. I know sometimes people just don't have the words to say, and I assure you I feel you thinking of me, too.

To all of our B2Bers who are about to leave, have safe travels and a WONDERFUL time on your Med cruise! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Love you all!
Kimberly

Nineteen years ago, I freshened my best friend's lipstick and held her as she took her last breath. I know there is nothing I can say that will lessen your pain right now, but know that your being there meant the world to her.:hug::hug:

Lynne and Lorriane, love the dresses.!:cool1:

:welcome: I speak no Spanish, but we will find a way to communicate. :cool1::cool1:

Yay.

Yay for Dennis! :cool1: Yay for Lynne! :cool1:

Are we there yet??:dance3::dance3::dance3:

So I outsmarted myself.....I was not supposed to have my physical until sometime in October....but since I am a Type 2 diabetic I have been on medication that I take by mouth. I figured since we would be on the ship for 2 weeks and probably eating things we never usually eat I would have the physical early. So I had it today--having the blood work last week. Doctor was not happy with the numbers so he is changing my medication to an injectable medication which I have to do myself each day. So now I have medication that needs to be refrigerated and now I have to also carry needles with me. So we will be flying for over 8 hours, so I guess I will have to ask the flight attendants to refrigerate it for me and will have to go through all the security checkpoints with needles. I am so smart....could not just leave things alone until we got back......doctor gave me a note that I need to carry the medication with me on the plane along with the needles....Just something else to worry about.

YEAH! Thanks to my MIL, Goofy Granny to post my results. I was so happy that I hugged the technician and radiologist!!! They told me to have a wonderful cruise and not be stressed. Glad to hear about your tests too Lynn. What a relief it is and thank you everyone for your prayers.

I see that Paul and I are going to be twins too because all I wear for pirates is the bandana! :lmao:

I feel like going out and buying a dress, not for me, but for my DD. I always do that as a mom, but I will shop for her!!! Maybe she will end up with a villan dress. I am so happy I could scream for joy!

Sue - glad to hear that your magnets arrived. YEAH! It is so close.

We are all so happy for you. Enjoy life to its fullest!! val

Thanks! Hope its helpful for everyone!

You did a wonderful job and it will be so helpful. If I PM you my e-mail is there any chance I could use it has a template for other cruises? Understand if you say no but it think it is just great. Val

The Disney Rewards card comes from the Disney Visa - $1 for every $100 you spend on the card

The credit card is offered by Chase Bank with no annual fee - high interest rates but if you pay off every month it is a good deal. I think the points can accumulate for up to 5 years. You also get a discount with the Disney Store online when you use it for purchases. HTH

Disney Visa card holders also receive 10% off most purchases of $50.00 or more at the Disney Stores. (Sorry, I know it's a shameless plug for the stores!)

Welcome! I know very little Spanish even though I took several semesters of it in college. I look forward to meeting you and your family on board.

That was so thoughful and kind of you guys! I can imagine they were delighted to have a homecooked meal!

Just sending you hugs... I found out the other day my friend from college passed away in April and I had no idea. I didn't even know she was sick. It's such a terrible shock.

If you don't mind me asking, what medicine did your doctor put you on? I just started Victoza last week and although it needs to be refrigerated before use, once the pen is in use it doesn't have to be. I should ask about carrying my pen on board - my doctor didn't seem to think it would be a problem, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. As far as giving yourself the injections, it's not as bad as you think...I thought for sure I was going to freak out but I was actually ok. It didn't really hurt at all.

So today was a sucessful cruise prep day. I was able to find a pair of pants that my mom is going to shorten into capris as well as a dress that I'm planning on wearing on formal night. It's not that formal, but I really like it and I"m looking forward to wearing it. I got it at Marshall's (sp) - it was originally $99 and I got it for $29.99! I was happy with the deal.

I also found what I'm hoping to give as FE gifts...that is if I can get 8 of them done in less than 2 weeks. Stay tuned! LOL!!!

I am sorry to hear this, but I hope you can get used to taking the new meds. I do know that there are companies that make cases that keep things cool for many hours without refrigeration through I think evaporation. My co-worker has one from I think Frio for her diabetes meds. How is your daughter doing?

In 15 days I will be on a plane to Barcelona. I sure hope I have the stamina and energy for this trip. I am feeling better but tire very easily. I go back to the doctor next Wednesday for my follow up, so hopefully I will have the approval to go.

Hopefully your stamina will come back very quickly. I know how it is after surgery and even the slightest thing can make you exhausted. The good thing is that you can just enjoy and relax once you're on board! :)

So sorry you have to make a change in medication right before the cruise. My nephew injects himself several times a day as he has juvenile diabetes. I didn't remember him having to refrigerate his medication. Perhaps he has a different kind. Hopefully this will be come a routine that won't interfere too much with your life and cruise.

Tom, will you have the insulin pen or a different delivery method?

You can take any medication you need with you on an airplane, just ask your doctor to supply a letter to explain your need for needles and liquid medicine. Keep these items in a separate plastic zip bag, they do not count towards your 3-1-1 allowance. Do go through the special needs line, so that these items can hand search with agents that are in the special need frame of mind. Or at least this has been DM and my experience since she started using the insulin pen.

For DCL, fill in the medical form, with your doctors signature and let them know you will need a sharps box.
