I apologize in advance if this might have been posted before:
I know about the usual things to pack but some people bring not so common items that are useful and great like the over the door shoe organizers; highlighters to mark the Navigator; sticky note pads to leave notes for the cabin steward. What are other useful items that you bring?
I am not a neat freak nor a germaphobic - but after catching a nasty bug on a cruise, I bring clorox wipes. The very first thing we do when we enter our cabin or hotel room is we each wipe down the enter place, especially hitting the telephone, remotes, inside of the frig and handles. And believe me you don't want to look at the wipe after you do. Have you ever seen housekeeping clean these? We also get to find out were all the plugs and such are in a room and if there are problems with the room right away. I also bring a small squeeze bottle of dish soap and wash the glasses and coffee stuff. I know it sounds paranoid but we didn't start doing this until after getting sick once. val
The other thing I do is pack everything in 2 gallon ziplock plastic bags, sorting each type of clothes in each. i.e. tops, slacks, sleepwear etc. I leave things in the bags making finding clothes easier. It makes both unpacking and repacking easier too. val
