Me, too. DH is absolutely paranoid about luggage weight, so I'm trying to stretch what I've got as far as I can. And will be taking those Purex sheets, so maybe we can meet up in the laundry room for games ;) .

I am bringing our dominoes and our Rummycube games. Anyone for Bunco?

and NO socks with shorts and open toed sandals

And never ever with Crocs!!!!

Absolutley agree......I think it's far more important that we all feel comfortable within ourselves, whether we dress up lots or just a little, wear the same outfits or a new one every day!:thumbsup2......I'm looking forward to all the conversations with new friends, as well as seeing all the beautiful dresses:grouphug:

Oh so true, far more important. Can't wait to meet you at last Mandy after your 2 cancelled cruises where we should have met!!

I do love wandering to the foyer and seeing all the gorgeously dressed people. I also try and go before early seating to see those folk too. Oh, and mustn't forget the absolutely fabulous little princesses and princes!!!

I just occured to me we are in single week digits, We are at 9 weeks and 2 days until we leave, and 9 days 4 days until we set sail.
Yes, 9 weeks, single digit!!!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
Yes....I know....small things........but It is a bit of excitement in my day I wanted to share!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Oh, we love the small things such as this!!!:thumbsup2:dance3::dance3::dance3:

I have to try on 20 pairs of jeans to find one that doesn't give me a plumbers crack......I have some junk in my trunk :lmao:

I don't think it's you. I think it is the clothes manufacturers. They don't know how real people are built! Also, low rise seems to be about the only option anymore since that is what is currently in fashion. To me, low rise=plumber butt, regardless of how much or how little junk there is in the trunk!

I found a pad of packing list pre-printed forms at Michael's. It is really a great help. Plus I save the list from cruise to cruise, updating it when I get home with things I missed. Tried to scan it to show you but the formating got all messed up. val

So wish I could find something like this!

Welcome. When are you flying into Barcelona? Buckeye Girl is has a couple spread sheets with hotels we are all staying at as well as our flight info. A nice chance to possibly meet before you get onboard. Speaking of onboard, there are quite a few activities planned if you want to join in.
Spending a week in Alicante visiting family and then taking flight to Barcelona on the 8th for the Med trip so will catch up with all of you on board.

I sorted out my dress for Villains Night today. I had bid on the perfect Monsoon dress on Ebay, but did not get it. I had a look in town today, but the only dress that kind of caught my eye was silly expensive. So I decided to order another dress from China. I have ordered this dress, but with black lace instead of the white lace:

Very nice!

Just recieved confirmation on the rotations, times and themes from Autumn, so at this time the chart I posted earlier is it. I will edit something on Page one and get it there as well.

Thanks Sue. I'm gonna check with DCL every few weeks as well just to see if they change their minds lol!

Just thought I’d let you all know how I’ve spent my day today, as I’m sure you’ll not believe it.

Decorating Christmas Trees and dressing Christmas dining tables. :santa: :santa: :santa:

Yes it’s barely July and super hot but I’m still in the Christmas spirit.

Well, in fact the company I work for is setting up a Press Event of all our Christmas lines to show of to the UK press, who, believe it or not, are already selecting what products they wish to feature in their seasonal glossy magazines.

I’m a Visual Merchandiser so it’s my job to dress room sets and dining tables to give an overview of the trends we’ll be selling over Christmas and hopefully encourage them all to feature our stock in their publications.

It’s good fun, though a little weird setting up Christmas in this weather.

SW

Oh my God lol! I hope you had some Christmas music on while doing it! Can't decorate without Xmas music!

Well folks, I'm off to the land of the mouse tomorrow. Actually I'm staying at my son's house in Orlando until we head back to Long Island for his wedding. His fiancee is coming up here tomorrow. We are coming back on the 20th. Wedding is the 25th.

See you on the flip side. Actually I will be able to talk to you from his house.

Have fun in Orlando and hope the wedding goes well!

Well the mystery of my blood results is now sorted - well sort of. The second lot of bloods taken didn't go missing (Thank God) but unfortunately I am aneamic and need Iron tablets. Luckily it doesn't look like its being caused by anything serious so just Iron tablets for God knows how long.

Krisann those Exlax chocolates might be needed if the horror stories I've been reading about Iron tablets are true lol!

DH (David) is turning 60th in December, we are celebrating early, from all the messages I am reading 1950 must have been a good year????

Adore the dresses being shown, being put to shame, going to have to start shopping for that something special, as if I need a reason to go shopping!!!

David favourite place on board is the Cove Cafe, so we will see most of you there.

Glad it is something easily sorted. Chuckling about the Exlax chocolates though. Don't mix them up and give them away in the Candy Swap though!!!!:scared1::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh I really dislike taking iron tablets, they can have a really horrid effect sometimes.:rolleyes1 I know we have to take them for a good reason but still,......:sad2:

ATTENTION ALL DANIEL TAXI MADEIRA TOUR CRUISERS

Message received from Eusébia which I have added to the link on page one:

I called Blandy’s about children being allowed to take part in guided tours with their parents, they said “Yes, they are” and they even added that from the age of 6 till they are 15, children pay only 2.50 Euros. From then on they pay full price.

I have heard only wonderful reports, and it is great for older kids too. Skating rink, climbing wall, etc etc. Go for it. At least it would be cheaper with no air fares, well long haul anyway.

The thing is once there I don't think anyone really notices that someone has worn something before. Perhaps those on the same table might, but goodness me, these formal things are expensive for the few times they get worn. The 'formal' dress I had for the '08 PC cruise I only wore three times(used for Palo). The one I wore for semi formal night on that cruise I also wore for formal on the Eastern last September, so that was worn 3 or 4 times. I just don't do anything remotely formal or dressy in normal life.:lmao::lmao: It is all a real splurge.
Thanks gmaz, they are doing a coach from glasgow so we could take as much luggage as we want:woohoo:
Yay, you found us!

Quick intro from us - I'm Paula and I'm an IT Geek from New Zealand, traveling with my partner Robert, we've been happily unmarried for about 12 years. He also gets the pleasure of traveling with his MIL aka, my Mum, Marian. If at any point possible I'll be aiming to leave them in one of the ports for a nice quiet trip by myself :rotfl2:

Aw... thanks  You do love us really...

Ooops I think it might have been me last time too... I really need to find something else to talk about :rotfl2:

7 handbags? Surely thats not too many? See ... I do have other things to talk about other than undies!

Yeah, maybe you are right about us Kiwis....

Definitely - actually I have two pairs of throw away formal pants and a handful of throw away tops for dining - I'm quite classy really :rotfl:

Very nice! I'm not much for dresses but thats really pretty! I hope you aren't sitting anywhere near me or I'm going to look really awful

Well, we did as we were told and now you are disappointed? There is no pleasing some people! :lmao:

Welcome back!

Might give you a run for your money... so to speak. Or keep you on the trot...

Hmmm how many more can I come up with?
I dont know how I never knew/remembered your mum was going, doh!
I just occured to me we are in single week digits, We are at 9 weeks and 2 days until we leave, and 9 days 4 days until we set sail.

I am still on top of pins and Madeira trip. If anything important comes up and you think I might miss it, please either email or PM me.

Burnice

1950 was certainly a good year! I'm among those celebrating a 60th, although mine is in August (i.e., next month).

And, as the caption of the cartoon of the guy stopped for speeding goes, "But officer, didn't you hear? 60 is the new 40!" :lmao:

I don't have many photos of my creations and the once I have are not very good. I have never gotten the hang of photographing jewellery, but here are some of my creations:

Very pretty, thanks.

You have 18 tress and decorate your bathrooms .... I think we need to see photos. I struggle to put up one tree and can't wait to take it down again.

I'm like you. But that doesn't mean I don't love seeing other people's beautiful decorations. And don't you always forget to pack one decoration? It never fails for me.

You nailed it. Well said. :thumbsup2

I am bringing our dominoes and our Rummycube games. Anyone for Bunco?

Love to play Rummycub and Bunco.

Low rise also = thong shots and tattoo shows :rotfl: .

I take iron for the same reason. So glad it wasn't anything worse!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: DH and I are not 1950, but close enough! In fact, I'm 2 1/2 months older than DH, but what makes it look bad is that they are different years.
