I sorted out my dress for Villains Night today. I had bid on the perfect Monsoon dress on Ebay, but did not get it. I had a look in town today, but the only dress that kind of caught my eye was silly expensive. So I decided to order another dress from China. I have ordered this dress, but with black lace instead of the white lace:

That is a beautiful dress!

My gosh, Sounds like Christmas is fun at your house! I love having the decorations, but I am always ready for them to come down by New Years, they start get annoying, all that extra dusting! :rotfl::

We do not take our things down until january 6th as we celebrate from the first sunday of advent to epiphany - it makes the season seem not so rushed.

I think there are a few of the Champagne Girls on this cruise!

Yep! The one thing I learned at the tasting was the only champagne I like is Rosa Regale

ME TOO! I want to do FE gifts!

See the post on page one, and email akblair@charter.net pult WBTA FE in the subject.

Just what I was going to say!

EARLY DINING LINKING

I'm still waiting to hear from a couple of people...

Grmmybtty
SandieDVC
Hoagie Pie

I need primary name and ressie numbers in order to link the reservations for dining.

That's my idea too! I do have a couple casual dresses, but mostly my travel pants and a few tops. Just get used to seeing me in the same thing over and over.

Me, too. DH is absolutely paranoid about luggage weight, so I'm trying to stretch what I've got as far as I can. And will be taking those Purex sheets, so maybe we can meet up in the laundry room for games ;) .

I decided to put myself on Weight Watchers starting this week. Still have some of the pregnancy weight on... Not much, but
smiley404.gif

Good luck to everyone who is trying to lose weight...

Weight Watchers is great! I really enjoy the program because you can go out for dinner with friends and family and not worry because you can always eat something on the menu. My Weight Watcher leader just got back from a cruise and she only gained 1 pound! I thought that was pretty impressive!

Good morning everyone :goodvibes

After watching Titanic last evening one of my first jobs when I get in my cabin will be to work out the fastest route to the lifeboats :scared1::scared1:

Thought I would share some photos of some cute friends we have staying with us at the moment while their family is in Florida:

DSCF7616.jpg

DSCF7623.jpg

OMG! They are sooo cute!!! I just want to pick them up and hug them!

As far as the Titanic is concerned, that is the reason I'm NOT scared to go on a TA cruise. I know that what happened to the Titanic won't happen again because there are now more than enough lifeboats for everyone. I love Titanic history...now if only I could get over my fear of flying! LOL!

Hi new to this thread. Doing b2b, Med and WBTA and then 3 weeks at AKL, all this to celebrate hubby's 60th. Spent all weekend just reading part 7. Nice to be part of one big happy Disney family. Although we now live in Perth, Australia, originally from London, Hubby from West Brom, and yes we adore Thorntons Chocolate. Hoping to pick up some whilst we pass through Heathrow Duty Free. Hope to meet you all soon.

Welcome!!!!!

That's my idea too! I do have a couple casual dresses, but mostly my travel pants and a few tops. Just get used to seeing me in the same thing over and over.
That is pretty much exactly what I'm going to do too! I will be wearing the same thing twice...I need to save room in the suitcases for purchases!!! I try not to spend too much money throughout the year, but when it comes to Disney, all bets are off! LOL

I've worked late the last two nights at the Disney Store. We had a huge floor move last night and tonight I worked shipment. I'm not sure how I"m still awake, but I am...maybe it's because I was so far behind on this thread and I wanted to catch up!

I can't believe the cruise is coming so fast! There's still lots to do...well practically everything to do...I better get moving! :)

I received my Pacsafe bag on Saturday. I ended up with the grey and red bag as I had to get it from Ebay. This was not my first choice of colour as I do not particularly like red, but this is actually a beautiful shade of burgundy. I really love this bag. It got a good test run today. It is the perfect size and I cannot see how anybody could get into there who is not supposed to. So if you were considering getting a Pacsafe bag, but have been sitting on the fence, I can really recommend this. I have the Pacsafe Daily Safe H100.

amazing dress
Just recieved confirmation on the rotations, times and themes from Autumn, so at this time the chart I posted earlier is it. I will edit something on Page one and get it there as well.
thanks, keep meaning to print this.
Hi all

I’m home from Disneyland Paris, Although at times I thought I was visiting Disney “on the surface of the sun” resort.

BOY IT WAS HOT HOT HOT!!!!!

I still can’t quiet understand how Paris get so un-bearably hot in the summer yet in the winter it transforms into the coldest place on the planet too.

I needed plenty of trips back to the hotel to cool off.

But I’m back and you only managed 40 or so pages and almost no underwear topics…

I am disappointed.

i'll try to post a little more info and maybe even a picture or two over the next few days

SW
welcome home.

Well folks, I'm off to the land of the mouse tomorrow. Actually I'm staying at my son's house in Orlando until we head back to Long Island for his wedding. His fiancee is coming up here tomorrow. We are coming back on the 20th. Wedding is the 25th.

See you on the flip side. Actually I will be able to talk to you from his house.
have a nice time, stay safe.
Still busy with unpacking and other catching up but here are some photos my nephew Rob posted of the wedding rehearsal dinner at the Paradise Ridge Winery, the Vintners Inn and afterward at the bar at the John Ash Restaurant.

I meant to say on fb, they pics are lovely.bride is gorgeous.

They really are beautiful, are they being shipped to the UK ?.

Yes, they will be shipped to the UK. The customs man will want his cut, but that is OK. I am actually on a subscription where I get a pendant, a pair of earrings and another piece of jewellery (usually another pendant, but I have had a necklace and a number of bracelets as well) every month.

Corinna, do you have any pictures of the jewelry you've made? I'd love to see it. And btw, the dresses you've picked are so beautiful, very much my taste (and I hope that doesn't scare you too much :lmao: ).

I don't have many photos of my creations and the once I have are not very good. I have never gotten the hang of photographing jewellery, but here are some of my creations:

Can you use snack credits at the Food and Wine festival stalls? I didn't know that.

Yes, most of the food samples at the Food and Wine Festival can be got for a snack credit. The ones that are available on the dining plan have the dining plan logo next to them. I wonder how many cups of the Cheddar Cheese Soup in Canada my snack credits will by me. This is my absolute favourite.

Thanks for all the compliments on the dress. Now the waiting game begins again. As this is custom made to my measurements, it will take about a month to be made, but if the last one is anything to go by, it will be well worth the wait.

Corinna

Any of you well seasoned cruisers ever been on rccl independance of the seas?
My dn and her friend is bugging em stupid to cruise again and I was thinking about going from southampton to tenerife:confused3

I have heard only wonderful reports, and it is great for older kids too. Skating rink, climbing wall, etc etc. Go for it. At least it would be cheaper with no air fares, well long haul anyway.

That's my idea too! I do have a couple casual dresses, but mostly my travel pants and a few tops. Just get used to seeing me in the same thing over and over.

The thing is once there I don't think anyone really notices that someone has worn something before. Perhaps those on the same table might, but goodness me, these formal things are expensive for the few times they get worn. The 'formal' dress I had for the '08 PC cruise I only wore three times(used for Palo). The one I wore for semi formal night on that cruise I also wore for formal on the Eastern last September, so that was worn 3 or 4 times. I just don't do anything remotely formal or dressy in normal life.:lmao::lmao: It is all a real splurge.

Remember a few years ago when we all go together in Diversions for the Champagne Girls party? We ALL had pink boas and plastic tiaras....I still have mine! And Cherie dressed as Tinkerbelle?

Oh, I remember and I was there. That was a lot of fun. We did it again on the Tortola cruise last September and that was fabulous too!!!!

Yay, you found us!

Quick intro from us - I'm Paula and I'm an IT Geek from New Zealand, traveling with my partner Robert, we've been happily unmarried for about 12 years. He also gets the pleasure of traveling with his MIL aka, my Mum, Marian. If at any point possible I'll be aiming to leave them in one of the ports for a nice quiet trip by myself :rotfl2:

More Aussie Cruisers! Welcome! we are rapidly taking over the ship, i think there's five of us now (and one Kiwi even, but we like to include them as almost Aussie so they don't feel left out)

Aw... thanks  You do love us really...

Will be purchasing lots of new undies for the cruise, but I don't want to be accused of bringing THAT topic up again do I :rolleyes1 .... actually it was you who brought it up ;) Shoes will be an issue, but I am trying to co-ordinate, and I don't do handbags on the ship, just carry cameras etc.

Ooops I think it might have been me last time too... I really need to find something else to talk about :rotfl2:

Hahahahaha, back to the undies, Didn't you start it last time.....:rolleyes1

Welcome, Adopted Aussies, we need the numbers! There are 4 or 5 of us now, and some kiwi's, Don't worry, they seem OK, you can never be too sure though.....:lmao:

I thought it was Paula last time, with hher throw away undies on her packing list........

OMG, hadn't considered handbags, they just will not fit, do you think I could wear 7 on the plane? :rotfl:

7 handbags? Surely thats not too many? See ... I do have other things to talk about other than undies!

Yeah, maybe you are right about us Kiwis....

Formal wear. I have decided to pack my black skirt and bring two different tops. Anyone else doing this?

Definitely - actually I have two pairs of throw away formal pants and a handful of throw away tops for dining - I'm quite classy really :rotfl:

Very nice! I'm not much for dresses but thats really pretty! I hope you aren't sitting anywhere near me or I'm going to look really awful

But I’m back and you only managed 40 or so pages and almost no underwear topics…

I am disappointed.

Well, we did as we were told and now you are disappointed? There is no pleasing some people! :lmao:

Welcome back!

Oh and all this talk about chocolates made me think of something - I don't suppose anyone would find it amusing to get exlax chocolates :rotfl:

Might give you a run for your money... so to speak. Or keep you on the trot...

Hmmm how many more can I come up with?

Me, too. DH is absolutely paranoid about luggage weight, so I'm trying to stretch what I've got as far as I can. And will be taking those Purex sheets, so maybe we can meet up in the laundry room for games ;) .

I think we have a couple of meets organised in the laundry room, 2am I think, we were going to bring Mickey bars, but as there isn't any........probably a good thing, choc smears on clean clothes is not the aim of the game........

I don't have many photos of my creations and the once I have are not very good. I have never gotten the hang of photographing jewellery, but here are some of my creations:

I love some of your jewellery, lovely, I will be checking out your jewels on board! :thumbsup2
That is a great tip about the snack credits, Thanks. The soup sound yummy!

I'll be happy to gain 1 pound a day, No...just joking, 1 pound is fantastic!
I will be wearing the same clothes more than once, Will be hanging out in the laundry often I think....:sad2:

Perhaps I could do it with different socks :rotfl2:

You mean you actually CHANGE your socks .... :rotfl2:

Definitely no socks with shorts!!

and NO socks with shorts and open toed sandals

I bought a mask on hols for villains night, I will post a pic of it for you guys, its cool, I wonder if I will have the nerve to wear it though?

kinda like this
mask.jpg

Love this mask ... we have a handmade one from Venice but it is a bit too elaborate and delicate to pack in a suitcase.

OK, I am sooooo not ordering calamari or squid in Spain now :lmao:

It would be very expensive tapas ..... Paul is a celebrity after all.

This is yet another gorgeous dress. :goodvibes

yes please .... I have really missed going there this year ... had to make do with this cruise instead :confused3

Just thought I’d let you all know how I’ve spent my day today, as I’m sure you’ll not believe it.

Decorating Christmas Trees and dressing Christmas dining tables. :santa: :santa: :santa:

SW

How very bizarre that must be .... Christmas lasts for way too long as it is
( when it starts a the end of September in shops ) July would be too much

No way is it OTT, or I am too ;).

I have 2 new Formal and 2 new Cocktail dresses plus 1 new maxi dress. These will be coming, together with some of my favourite Per Una ones. I love clothes shopping. I will add that most of them have been bought in the Sales. Also I have had to get new dresses as I have put on some weight.

Sound lovely .... I am going to the shops at the wekend so I might come back with something. Will have to tear myself off Ebay though. I never like to pay full price for anything, so I will check out the sales and the outlet villages.

How exciting. Have a wonderful time. Hope to see some photos of the wedding.

I am not a visual merchandiser but am already planning on my trees in the house this year - and changing around each room's theme for the holidays this year. Each room (including bathrooms) have a theme - last year I had a total of 18 trees of various sizes - 5 of which were large or live :) But Christmas is my business too so I like to stay up on it - our house outside wins competitions in our town every year - and this year will be even bigger.

This week while the kids are gone I am working on finishing up my book on Christmas Gift Giving. If anyone want to help edit - let me know :)

One of my new trees this year will be a tree with ornaments from places we have traveled to, and our disney cruise line ornaments.

Our bathroom will be decorated in Disney this Christmas and bought quite a few ornaments in WDW in april.

I will start putting trees together in October up in the attic after the cruise - and we will also start putting up our outside lights in October also! All the decorations - inside and out are up and ready by the first Sunday of Advent.

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

You have 18 trees and decorate your bathrooms .... I think we need to see photos. I struggle to put up one tree and can't wait to take it down again.

Gorgeous dress!:woohoo:

Absolutley agree......I think it's far more important that we all feel comfortable within ourselves, whether we dress up lots or just a little, wear the same outfits or a new one every day!:thumbsup2......I'm looking forward to all the conversations with new friends, as well as seeing all the beautiful dresses:grouphug:
