And why not?????;) John would be happy if he could get away with that. Black ones on a Monday, black ones on a Tuesday, black ones on a Wednesday...etc!!!!:lmao:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Welcome, we are Dennis and Angie. We live in Montana. I too turned 60 this year in March. Dennis is a wee bit older. :) Feel free to come to Cove Cafe to end your days with the Geezer and Geezers in Training (no acronym :lmao:) group. No need to sign up since whichever Geezer would be in charge of the list would probably just lose it anyway. :rolleyes1

:lmao: I mentioned that Dennis bought a pair of shorts yesterday. He has bought a few pair over the last couple of years, but not worn them! :lmao: He just has always worn slacks. :confused3 Before yesterday's purchase I told him that he HAS to wear them if he buys them, BUT that he would need to lose the socks, especially the black ones!! :lmao::lmao:

Yes, no socks w/shorts. I don't want to have to bleach my eyes! :rotfl:

You'll have to connect your bears with TA2's bears, my DD's princess bunny, and all the other fur friends. We'll need a fur friend meet before this trip is over! Princess Bunny has been known to sneak off into the adult areas and pursuits when DD is in the kids club.

Oh, I can see that Princess Bunny and I have a lot in common :thumbsup2 . (She's so cute!)

2 weeks before? That's crazy, but I've heard the general rule is the later the room assignment, the better the upgrade, so perhaps good things will come to those who wait. I always thought they worked down the ship when doing room assignments (4, 5, 6 etc.) but I have no basis for that thought. I thought they were already doing upgrades on the cruise or two before ours, so I figured we wouldn't be that far off. We got our last room assignment right at 44 days out. We're also in a Cat 6 GTY after switching to the military rates, and I compulsively check for a room assignments 2-3x a day.

All this waiting for cabins and flights is really hard!

It's sooo hard when you come sooo close, isn't it?!?

We/I know exactly what you are talking about...
smiley5907.gif

Yeah, Paul should move to Spain!

We know he'd probably end up in a tapa somewhere :rotfl: . Although seriously Paul likely doesn't have much time left; octopuses have pretty short life spans and don't generally live past 2-3 or so.

Any of you well seasoned cruisers ever been on rccl independance of the seas?
My dn and her friend is bugging em stupid to cruise again and I was thinking about going from southampton to tenerife:confused3

The left hand is very good at pressing that "BID NOW" button :rolleyes1

We are taking 2 cases between 2 of us .... but it may be a sort of 70:30 ratio on whose clothes are in there ;)

And the piggie isn't that big ... I think it's the perspective of the photo ... he's no way as big as a cat :rotfl2:

I think I could push that "BID NOW" button with my nose if I had to!
OK, So same us us with the luggage, 1 suitcase each, well 1/2 for Terry, 1 for girls to share and 2 1/2 for me.......if only.......Terry's stuff takes up so much room, silly big feet! Then there's the FE's, sweets, etc....
About the sweets, I know you were going to put something like, 'drop by and say Happy Birthday' to Bella, I thought I could do small sweet bags for the kids? What does everyone think? :goodvibes
Oh, That's good about the guinea pig, It looks so big in the picture! :rotfl:

The full set should have been $200, but I had a $50 gift certificate and she has a reward scheme and I had $100 worth of reward vouchers so it actually cost me $50, which is an absolute bargain.

Corinna

Love a bargain! :thumbsup2

I told her the only other evil character I can think of is winnie the pooh (her favorite character or obsession as our family likes to refer to him as). He is a theif, he steals honey. She was so disgusted with me. She decided to search on her own. I was just trying to help...

I love it, that is hilarious...:lmao:

My computer chaps haven't turned up yet which is a bit annoying as I have stayed in all day, and I am now munching grapes as I am tortured by thoughts of food. I hate the first day of a diet.

I hate EVERY day of a diet!! :headache:

We picked up our See's candy today! The problem I'm having is how much to buy? Am I supposed to buy one for every person in the room or just one per cabin? Or does it matter? It hardly seems fair that possibly a cabin of four would have to share one snack size bar!!

YUM, See's Candy!!!
I have the same problem, I'm not actually sure how much I should be bringing? :confused3

:lmao: I mentioned that Dennis bought a pair of shorts yesterday. He has bought a few pair over the last couple of years, but not worn them! He just has always worn slacks. Before yesterday's purchase I told him that he HAS to wear them if he buys them, BUT that he would need to lose the socks, especially the black ones!!

I agree on the black socks, But....Charlie gets away with socks and shorts on 'Two and a half Men'. :thumbsup2

I thought I had posted this somewhere, but can't find it. Is it still possible for me to get into an FE exchange group?

You can get in the Strawberry group, I think it is Krisann doing this one.

I end up taking pictures of everything we pack...but generally when we are wearing it at some point during the trip! Great suggestions!!
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

OK, I am sooooo not ordering calamari or squid in Spain now :lmao:

We have done the dining plan before and enjoyed it, even though there
is too much food. They have taken the starter off now, which is a bit less
food.
We also know, that we will have credits left at the end, that we wont
use up.
Some of our table service meals will be used on breakfast, which will free up some evenings to eat offsite, which we like doing too.

We are probably doing the Deluxe Dining Plan for the first time. We are only at WDW for 5 nights and won't be venturing offsite. We will have breakfast and most evenings we will have dinner in a signature restaurant. Lunchtime, I might use some of the snack credits to graze at the stalls at the Food and Wine Festival.

Scaring myself a bit silly right now.:scared1: Watching a programme(recorded) on the building of the Queen Mary2 and all the extra difficult things they did in the design etc to be able to cross the Atlantic safely. Things like rogue waves are very real so they built the hull with extra thick steel, and put an extra wave barrier to push the wave back off the front so it wouldn't damage it!!! Plus wave heights have got higher as hurricanes have got bigger, and I don't want to know!!!

I'm hoping the more southern route we take might be less of a problem.

I watched this, too. I found it very interesting rather than scary, but then again I have had two cruises with huge waves and I am still here to tell the tale.

I know one Sept, DD and I were doing a 4 day cruise. A hurricane came through - I think it was Ike?? Anyway I was convinced our cruise would be cancelled, however it went ahead and the ship sailed around it. We swapped our sea day and that was it - a perfect cruise :goodvibes

If it was Ike, then I was on that cruise, too. This was actually OK. We did a 5 nighter on the Magic just before this and the last day had some interesting waves (not quite as bad as we had on the Med cruise, though).

Somebody get me off of Ebay .... I just bought another 2 dresses

Well done on getting some more dresses.

I so miss e-bay, we don't have it across here (dubai) however australia is another matter and this time next week i should be there...

i've been drooling over everyones chocolate choices... they all look great. i was trying to decide between australian chocolates and some dubai specialties. i'm thinking dubai specialties since there is a good chance no one has ever tried them before. :thumbsup2

No Ebay in Dubai? I did not know this. Maybe I need to rethink my plans about relocating to Dubai at some stage. Without Ebay I am lost.

As for the chocolates from Dubai, you would not be talking in terms of nut-stuffed chocolate-covered dates by any chance. I really love those.

Hi new to this thread. Doing b2b, Med and WBTA and then 3 weeks at AKL, all this to celebrate hubby's 60th. Spent all weekend just reading part 7. Nice to be part of one big happy Disney family. Although we now live in Perth, Australia, originally from London, Hubby from West Brom, and yes we adore Thorntons Chocolate. Hoping to pick up some whilst we pass through Heathrow Duty Free. Hope to meet you all soon.

:welcome: on board.

That's really good value Corinna! Mark's mum makes jewellery too, maybe I should get her to make me some pieces......

Actually, I make jewellery, too, but very different in style. I tend to do illusion style jewellery.

I received my Pacsafe bag on Saturday. I ended up with the grey and red bag as I had to get it from Ebay. This was not my first choice of colour as I do not particularly like red, but this is actually a beautiful shade of burgundy. I really love this bag. It got a good test run today. It is the perfect size and I cannot see how anybody could get into there who is not supposed to. So if you were considering getting a Pacsafe bag, but have been sitting on the fence, I can really recommend this. I have the Pacsafe Daily Safe H100.

I sorted out my dress for Villains Night today. I had bid on the perfect Monsoon dress on Ebay, but did not get it. I had a look in town today, but the only dress that kind of caught my eye was silly expensive. So I decided to order another dress from China. I have ordered this dress, but with black lace instead of the white lace:

Sounds good, but do you put any spices in it?

Maybe a little pepper (we're trying to limit sodium, hence the low/no salt choices listed). Also use all of the liquid in with the green beans. But believe it or not, that's it, and of course, you can add whatever you and your family prefer.

Please see the FE post on page one of th is thread for Krisanns email addy.

Welcome to the Strawberry group!!

Just recieved confirmation on the rotations, times and themes from Autumn, so at this time the chart I posted earlier is it. I will edit something on Page one and get it there as well.

Hi all

I’m home from Disneyland Paris, Although at times I thought I was visiting Disney “on the surface of the sun” resort.

BOY IT WAS HOT HOT HOT!!!!!

I still can’t quiet understand how Paris get so un-bearably hot in the summer yet in the winter it transforms into the coldest place on the planet too.

I needed plenty of trips back to the hotel to cool off.

But I’m back and you only managed 40 or so pages and almost no underwear topics…

I am disappointed.

i'll try to post a little more info and maybe even a picture or two over the next few days

Just thought I’d let you all know how I’ve spent my day today, as I’m sure you’ll not believe it.

Decorating Christmas Trees and dressing Christmas dining tables. :santa: :santa: :santa:

Yes it’s barely July and super hot but I’m still in the Christmas spirit.

Well, in fact the company I work for is setting up a Press Event of all our Christmas lines to show of to the UK press, who, believe it or not, are already selecting what products they wish to feature in their seasonal glossy magazines.

I’m a Visual Merchandiser so it’s my job to dress room sets and dining tables to give an overview of the trends we’ll be selling over Christmas and hopefully encourage them all to feature our stock in their publications.

It’s good fun, though a little weird setting up Christmas in this weather.

So, this year will you came and decorate my house? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Sounds like a very cool job!

Not really .... I only have:

1 formal dress ( which is a bit tight )
1 semi formal / Palo dress
3 cruise casual dresses ( 1 maxi / 2 cocktail length )

Still need:

2nd formal dress
1 villains themed dress
probably at least 1 more cruise casual dress.

Thats not too OTT is it? :confused3:confused3

No way is it OTT, or I am too ;).

I have 2 new Formal and 2 new Cocktail dresses plus 1 new maxi dress. These will be coming, together with some of my favourite Per Una ones. I love clothes shopping. I will add that most of them have been bought in the Sales. Also I have had to get new dresses as I have put on some weight. I think I might be like you though and have to use some of Carls luggage allowance. :rotfl2:

They really are beautiful, are they being shipped to the UK ?.

Well folks, I'm off to the land of the mouse tomorrow. Actually I'm staying at my son's house in Orlando until we head back to Long Island for his wedding. His fiancee is coming up here tomorrow. We are coming back on the 20th. Wedding is the 25th.

See you on the flip side. Actually I will be able to talk to you from his house.

Welcome! We have some friends here in Jackson, TN that just returned from Perth after living there for a year - the company he works for sent him there. They had a cool rental house on the beach - wanted to go visit but they came home before anyone could!

WARNING This is oing to be the longest post EVER, I am so behind, just caught up and I'm sure I've marked about 100 posts to reply to, Here we go.....

Great, will be looking forward to it. The photobooks you can order on iPhoto through Apple are quite nice, but I love all the Disney themed stuff with CM. I also read that you can make it work, but I'm not very technically minded.

from what I read it is possibly going to work iPhoto. I am also thinking today that since you can save the pages as a .jpeg you could take the "pages" and insert them as a picture into a company that sells books also - now mind you I think the better quality is with Creative memories from other companies I have seen from the books so to me it is worth the extra money BUT if you are not able to print the books because you live outside US/Canada - I would give it a try.

We are in category 6 GTY cabin. Called Saturday and Disney indicated they wouldn't be assigning a cabin until 2 weeks before departure. There are category 4 cabins available on-line. The quoted me $6,000 to upgrade from a 6 to a 4. That is hard to believe. I'll wait and see what I get.

val

This is the first cruise EVER that we have been GTY and it is driving me crazy!!!! Even on the WBPC in 2008 we had a cabin assignment from day 1.

I thought I had posted this somewhere, but can't find it. Is it still possible for me to get into an FE exchange group?

email me at akblair@charter.net

So, this year will you came and decorate my house?

If only i had a dollar for everyone who asked me that!!! (then i prob have enough to cover the fuel surchage) ;)

I do love Christmas and the family home does look at it's best at that time of year, I tend to go a bit OTT and the main tree has to look PERFECT.

Every other year i change the theme and dress in differently. Takes about 6 or 7 hours to compleatly set up and dress the tree.

But when people know it's your job they kinda expect the extra ordinary.

I hope you have a wonderful time and that the wedding goes off beautifully :thumbsup2 .

Corinna, do you have any pictures of the jewelry you've made? I'd love to see it. And btw, the dresses you've picked are so beautiful, very much my taste (and I hope that doesn't scare you too much :lmao: ).

For those of you staying in Orlando after the cruise, the 2010 Entertainment books are on sale for $7.99. Haven't looked through all of it and may not have anything you would be interested in but worth looking. Other US cities are also available. http://orlando.entertainment.com/discount/dining.shtml?category=Casual+Dining&Nao=30&N=25+39

We are Cat 6 gty. We booked very close to when the cruises came out though. We had our cabin number posted though, within 2 weeks of booking.
I thought it was 0nly cat 12 who had to wait. :confused3.
I learn something every day on this thread. :)

Well I am sitting here making more lists about what to take and redoing one of my FE's as I found something today that I just had to get! I am also sitting here eating one of my favorite chocolates that doesn't have as much calories as others but gives me the taste - Tootsie Rolls!

Oh and all this talk about chocolates made me think of something - I don't suppose anyone would find it amusing to get exlax chocolates :rotfl: I remember in elementary school someone brought them to school and handed them out to kids! I did not have one but he sure got in trouble!
