Hi new to this thread. Doing b2b, Med and WBTA and then 3 weeks at AKL, all this to celebrate hubby's 60th. Spent all weekend just reading part 7. Nice to be part of one big happy Disney family. Although we now live in Perth, Australia, originally from London, Hubby from West Brom, and yes we adore Thorntons Chocolate. Hoping to pick up some whilst we pass through Heathrow Duty Free. Hope to meet you all soon.

Trying to get caught up after the wedding but didn't want this post to pass without posting a welcome aboard!! I am Noel and DH is John. We are from Woodside, California. I am 3rd generation from California. DH was raised in California but family is from Ohio. My grandfather's family (never became US citizen) was from the south of England, Portsmouth, Waterlooovile and Hayling Island areas. Great-Grandmother's family were booksellers in in London and some immigrated to New Zealand.

My 60th Bday is in December, so I am a 1950 baby as well. There are several of us on board turning 60 this year.

I suppose .... it's a nightmare working out what to have for dinner though ... anyone got any nice low-fat diety ideas for meals. I will end up with BBQ chicken and couscous and veg. I intend to go for a fast walk later.

Ok, this may seriously sound odd, but we cook up a dish using 1 lb. 96/4 ground beef, 14 oz. low-sodium green beans, and 6 oz. tomato paste (brown meat, add in beans and paste, heat through; yeah, it doesn't get much easier and tastes good too). We serve it over mashed potatoes, but you could easily put it over a baked potato instead.

Hi Angie,

Looking forward to cookies and hot chocolate in Cove Cafe!

Our travelling bears, Jack & Wellington, have made their own travel arrangements and we expect to catch up with them in Barcelona.

Cute, cute, cute! But who is the dog?

As usual, I can't keep up...

The piggies are sooo cute! My husband had them when he was a little boy and when one would die, he would hide and cry for a whole day. :lovestruc

All the chocolate talk is delicious; good thing I don't keep any in the house or it would be Reece's Peanut Butter Cups and Twixt Bars three meals a day (plus snacks, of course).

No word from Disney on our flights. Getting VERY anxious. The 15th will be 60 days and I'll probably give them a call even though DVC told me 30 days :scared1:

Sarah (Totally Angelic): I'll re-PM the Late Dining info today.

Andrea

Good morning everyone :goodvibes

After watching Titanic last evening one of my first jobs when I get in my cabin will be to work out the fastest route to the lifeboats :scared1::scared1:

I am hopefully getting by new computer today which will mean I can stop having to use DS's laptop, and more importantly I can start looking at making some door magnets. :woohoo:

Thought I would share some photos of some cute friends we have staying with us at the moment while their family is in Florida:

:welcome: My name is Terry and my BFF Stephanie (Steffy on the dis) are both turning 60 while on the cruise!!!

For those of you staying in Orlando after the cruise, the 2010 Entertainment books are on sale for $7.99. Haven't looked through all of it and may not have anything you would be interested in but worth looking. Other US cities are also available. http://orlando.entertainment.com/discount/dining.shtml?category=Casual+Dining&Nao=30&N=25+39

We are in category 6 GTY cabin. Called Saturday and Disney indicated they wouldn't be assigning a cabin until 2 weeks before departure. There are category 4 cabins available on-line. The quoted me $6,000 to upgrade from a 6 to a 4. That is hard to believe. I'll wait and see what I get.

Sorry, but that upgrade price is just plain ridiculous!!!! Laughable.
:lmao: I just can't believe that.

You might get offered paid upgrades before they do free upgrades. Obviously they would rather get some income if possible. Sometimes that is worth it, and would be far less than that amount they want there.

How about a baked potatoe with fat free sour cream and broccoli witht hat chicken I also love the "I cannot believe it's butter spray" I use that on my potatoes. Wven a baked sweet potatoe would be yummy.

Those sounds soooo yummy!!!! Are you brining those???

We picked up our See's candy today! The problem I'm having is how much to buy? Am I supposed to buy one for every person in the room or just one per cabin? Or does it matter? It hardly seems fair that possibly a cabin of four would have to share one snack size bar!! :rotfl:

I think I might be doing Milky Ways or Snickers but not sure yet!

I'm doing per cabin but where there are kids I may put in extra as kids will fight I'm sure!

Welcome, we are Dennis and Angie. We live in Montana. I too turned 60 this year in March. Dennis is a wee bit older. :) Feel free to come to Cove Cafe to end your days with the Geezer and Geezers in Training (no acronym :lmao:) group. No need to sign up since whichever Geezer would be in charge of the list would probably just lose it anyway. :rolleyes1

We too are looking forward to cookies. We will have to alert the staff there that they will need to get in a supply. Bonita was working in another bar by the pool in Feb. I hate to have to break in new CMs, but it can be done. :thumbsup2

And why not?????;) John would be happy if he could get away with that. Black ones on a Monday, black ones on a Tuesday, black ones on a Wednesday...etc!!!!:lmao:

:lmao: I mentioned that Dennis bought a pair of shorts yesterday. He has bought a few pair over the last couple of years, but not worn them! :lmao: He just has always worn slacks. :confused3 Before yesterday's purchase I told him that he HAS to wear them if he buys them, BUT that he would need to lose the socks, especially the black ones!! :lmao::lmao:

As I am starting to pack my suitcases I am reminded once again to make a list of EVERYTHING you put into the suitcase. If a suitcase goes missing you need this to know what is missing and get replacement - we thought we remembered everything but when the missing bag actually arrived - we had forgotten many things!

Just an FYI with all the talk of lists

Krisann

I like to take pictures of everything I pack. I figure if I take the time to do this, I won't need the pictures. If I don't, I'll wish I had. Just a little superstition. Easy to do now with digital camera. I just download it at home before we leave in case camera gets lost/stolen, too. I haven't figured out how to take a picture of the camera yet! I guess I could take a picture of it using the mirror.

Sounds good, but do you put any spices in it?

Definitely no socks with shorts!!

I thought I had posted this somewhere, but can't find it. Is it still possible for me to get into an FE exchange group?

Thanks,
Chasity :)

So cute! Do you get their luggage allowance?

Masques - DD has some lovely ones from Poundland (for the brits among us) I must remember to pack one. On the Baltic cruise you got to make them - what a mess mine was - no artistic ability here.

Welcome to the new cruisers - fantastic trip you have planned there.

You can be very proud!!! I also wanted Holland to win. Marc van Bommel and Arien Robben are two of my favorite players of Bayern Munich.
And believe me, we don't like Paul (the octopus) either.

smiley1670.gif

I'm proud and a lot off people in The Netherlands, but we like to see good soccerplay. And that we didn't do.

We can take Paul whit us and trow him in the sea. Or leave him in Spain because he loves them more then us (Deutsland- Holland).

Thanks all who have supported my and our dutch team.

Tomorrow they will get a canaltour whit lot off orangedressed crazypeople so we're proud that they can so far.
