ATTENTION ALL DANIEL TAXI MADERIA TOUR CRUISERS:

I just wanted to give an update on our tour in Madeira:
First, we have 39 people (including John and I) that have expressed interest. These are the DISers and number in the party who have confirmed with me. I have listed them in order of their request to me If you have decided otherwise, please send me a PM. If not, I will assume you still want to take the tour.

I am going to have to request 3 tour buses. The buses hold 16 each so we have room for 6 more people if they have room for all of us. However, before I ask, I do want to be sure people are committed.

I will be sending more info via PM as well as a copy of the email I received. I will copy the email from Daniel Taxis in my next post.

In the past 12 hours, I had 5 additional submissions to flights departing on or after September 16. Since we're all so busy planning logistics right now, I thought I would post these now instead of waiting another week or so.

I think 4 p.m. is the all aboard time and we leave port at 9 p.m. We all have to be onboard by 4 because we will have to do the boat safety drill. Can't remember where I read this though.

Do we know what time the sail away party will be? We have late dining...I really don't want to miss our departure from Barcelona. Wonder if we will have to consider missing dinner in the dining room the first night and just grab food at topsiders....hmmmmm......

I did get what I wanted finally after 1 hour and 42 minutes of fiddling around with the the website. I am thinking about doing the personal trainer too.

Ive tried to search online on the dis that is and not really a lot out there, its something I would never pay for at home so just a little treat.

One more obsession.... where will they sell the purses and what time will that store open????

Yes, that is the system and how it goes. The more cruises you take the earlier you can book your reservations. As you have read though, they do open up other times you can book, and if not get to Rockin Bar D as soon as you get onboard. If you still can't get a reservation, then get waitlisted and you will probably get what you want!!! Tell your mum not to get upset any more!

You know what surprises me? They only use a few tables for High Tea, and when so many people want to book one I just don't know why they don't use more. Perhaps with having brunch on the sea days too, then dinner that staffing is a problem???

I think they keep it like that for the ambiance (spell) I read.

I just can't wait till we set sail on this adventure.

According to my phone call to DCL yesterday, ALL ABOARD is 4 PM and we sail at 9:31 PM.
Just my thoughts...

I have late dining as well and I think we will have enough time for dinner if we sail at 9:31. Disney will probably schedule the sail away party at 9:30 to accommodate us late diners. I think it will be similar to the Pirates Party. I hope there will be fireworks when we leave!

I hope you are right, and tbh I kinda thought they would do something like that, wonder if we will get fireworks??that would be cool.

I read somewhere that Disney finances and sends their own pyrotechnics to Barcelona for the two EBTA arrivals in part as a publicity event to let Europe know they are there. So, I highly doubt we'll get a send-off of the same nature.

The friend in me wants to say that I think Treasure Ketch will open for the first time on our cruise around 10:00 pm when we are out to sea instead of the next morning, but the competitor in me didn't just say that outloud!

I would rather get the same info for you guys (or anyone) 5 times than never receive it at all! Now on the 6th time, I might have to start charging Drinks of the Day for inbox overload!

I was on the 2010 EBTA and heard that Disney hosted a big reception that evening at a local hotel ballroom overlooking the port.

They invited public officials and people from Disney's operations in Europe, such as Disneyland Paris and Adventures by Disney.

The fireworks were spectacular.

Sue...Thanks so much for puttin us in the Coconut FE group. However, I forgot to mention that we have 2 rooms. Myself, dh, and dd Megan (8) will be in room #6053. My mom (g-ma Cathy) and my ds Jacob (12) will be in room #6507. Both rooms would love to participate and will have separate FE's. Thanks for all you do to organize this!!! By the way, my ds was happy to hear that there will be some older boys on this cruise like your ds. Jacob will be 13 on 10-8 (the week we come back from vacation).

Noel...I received your PM, just a few more posts and I can send you one back. For now, I just wanted to thank you for organizing this. We will have 2kids w/ us, so we will not be wine tasting.

Last night we signed up for the Walking Tour in Gibralter, the Rib Boat Snorkeling on St. Maarten and the Snorkel at Norman Island in Tortola. We also booked Palo for night 3, but were not able to get a brunch or tea.

Hope all you dads have a fantastic Father's Day!!!

On the WBTA, you will gain back those hours -- five extra hours of sleep!

People on the EB were jealous of the WB.
