After reading for the last half hour boy you are chatty. I last read friday afternoon ugh.

Was able to get Palo brunch and dinner.

As for excursion this is just depressing there was not one I could take that did not say no wheel chairs or electric for any of the ports in Europe. . So I guess I will be going on a shopping excurion in stead :)

I can walk just not far so what would be the point if we we get off to look around I just sit. So I will look more to booking in the caribbean.

Just so sad that the Europe countries as so far behind in accessible tours.

And disney does not help they should list right up front where they have mild moderate etc. There should be a section for accessible tours to save us the disappointment of knowing what is great but can ot go on.

My vent is over thank you.

I think there was a similar issue last time as well. European tour companies don't accomadate for wheelchair users very much in my experience so I'm not surprise DCL hsn't been able to get any but am surprised they didn't look because I'm sure they could have found at least 1 in each port!

Wow - that was an exciting night being able to book! We have 15 days left.

On another note - I started Weight Watchers this morning and man, oh man, I hate dieting. Unfortunately I really need to, so I am sticking w it. DH is onboard too. Eating low-cal soup and some cherries now.

Good luck to you :thumbsup2

:lovestrucWe loved the HRH:lovestruc

Its one of our faves too!:cool1:

oh it is heavenly!

and it is fun to do it the first day because it is during the time of tours of the spa and many Diser's come through! I have my lanyard on and them too so it is fun!

Krisann

I shall look out for you :thumbsup2 I'm hoping the finances will stretch to a couple of treatments but we'll book on board I think :)

Ever have one of those days where you have so many things you could be doing, but you just feel like doing nothing? That is me today. I worked this morning and now, I just want to veg.

I have too many of those days! :rotfl2:

You're right, we are behind sometimes with the accessibility issues :sad2: Sorry you weren't able to book a tour, but hopefully you'll still get to enjoy yourself in another way

is anyone planning on Parasailing at CC? We just booked the 11:30 one and hoping maybe some others are also?

Krisann

Belle1997 - so sorry to hear about your excursions. I thought Disney always had wheelchair accessible excursions. I know Gibralter was not that accessible. It will still be fun for you - no worries!!!!:lmao:

Thanks for finding out about the dolphin excursion. When Disney drops a place for excursions I always wonder why and get a little scared. It is a shame because I know quite a few people that wanted the dolphins.

The pedi sounds wonderful! I haven't had that - only the manicure and massage/facial. I love them all. It must be fun to be there during a tour, never thought of that.

My real issue is that they do not acccept folding wheelchairs. That just does not make sense. Some say no strollers so I can understand why no folding wheelchairs. Just does not make sense.

It let me get on and get the spa day i wanted.....but then I started trying to do our excursions and by 12:04am the dolphin swim in Tortola was already gone and you can't book it anymore....so I moved on to our next excursion...got it...and then tried to get on to do the others and now it's telling me there is an "error" and that it either can't retrieve my ressie or someone else from my traveling party is booking things-----except there is nobody else linked to us (yet)!

GGRRRRRR!!!

Don't know if anyone has shared but the Tortola dolphin tours haven't been open for anyone yet, atleast they weren't yesterday afteroon, a week ago or on plat booking day. So good thoughts that they just haven't been put up yet. I know on another cruise the dolphin excursions were added after the 90 day mark.

We booked this last time, it was too windy, I was so dissapointed, Im not sure if I will bother this time as my dn was keen to do it and shes not with us this time.:sad1: I have done it else where and enjoyed it, its nice but I would rather do stuff as a couple.

Ok bad news for some of us - Disney is no longer offering the Dolphin Swim - they did in December but are not for our cruise and they are going to fix the web site where it shows.

I did do some checking and the place that does it does have openings for the day we are there. So the question is - do we do it on our own - not sure - I have not ventured out like that before - and I want to make sure my cruise insurance will cover the cost if we do not get to dock there and miss the excursion.

Krisann

Krisann,

sometimes these places will have a policy if the ship doesn't dock, you don't pay. Not sure you'll have to double check with them. But if you get a time that falls well within the docking hours, you should be fine. I went to the dolphin swim in Nassau BEFORE Disney even offered it to us on my own. It was easy and I was back way before DH who went to Paradise Island and gambled. Also, went to the Dolphin swim in Mexico - simple and plenty of time. If you have a group, you should all be pretty good. But make sure your either early morning or mid-morning not cutting it too close to embarkation time.

Just a thought, but I have taken other excursions with other DIS-sers and we've been fine. Its only :scared1: the first time.. Then you realize, its the way to travel and you will want to do it more next time. Just allow plenty of time to get back to board. On the Med cruise, we did 3 or 4 of the ports on our own (all-day tours) and it was much nicer than going with a huge group. We just made sure we were back 1 hr before boarding time. IE: if boarding time was 6 we got back at 4:45 or 5. Only time I got close to missing anything was with Disney and they waited. Just a thought.

Besides The Dapper Dans, anyone familiar with Barbershop Quartets? My friend John competes in a couple of quartets, one of which, "Class Ring", will be competing later this month in Philadelphia for an international competition. ("Buckeye Blend" is another group he sings with, and they perform at Ohio State football parties and events quite often. LOVE them!) Well he has a fund raising show tonight that has several quartets within Ohio participating. They support an organization called "Harmony Camp", which is a wonderful program for teens to get vocal and performance coaching on being in a male or female quartet. It's pretty awesome. So I'll shortly be getting ready to head out to attend that this evening.

Oh...and speaking of The Dapper Dans, a few years ago, John performed with a gentleman who was recently with The Dapper Dans at Disneyland!

... Of course the real biggie is our Double Digit day, which isn't so far away :dance3:...

:dance3: I know! I keep thinking about the double-digit dance, too! :dance3:

Ok, its official, The Boys are really starting to get excited about the trip.Good Morning all.....

I'm going to have to find The Boys to get a photo op!

...here is a thread about someone who found one and went to great lengths to return it to its owner. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1209894

This story had me up all night...literally!! I kept jumping from one place to another and couldn't stop reading! The turtle video is awesome! If you want a really good mystery read that just makes you smile, you have to check out ScubaBoard.com, which is where the adventure all starts! There's a great surprise angle to the story once the owner is found, too! It's a very cool, feel-good read!

....oh it is heavenly!

Great idea, Krisann! On my first DCL cruise, our first order of agenda was to run to the spa once we got onboard so we could move our spa appointments we made on-line. I was filming when a family wearing t-shirts that looked just like my DIS t-shirt stopped me and introduced themselves. I got the intro all recorded, too, which is cool! Indeed it's fun to discover one another! :goodvibes

There is one salon service that I want to book when I get onboard that I've had on my DCL bucket list for two years now. I've read heavenly reviews of the Frangipani Scalp Ritual. I just love getting my scalp massaged, so I think this will be sooooo relaxing! To make it even better, it's less than $30!! Have any of you had this service?

I'm so sorry. What a shame. :sad2:

DW and I would love to go parasailing but I can't justify the cost for 5 minutes in the air.

Just wanted to ask for some ideas and suggestions. Since we have so many creative people on here. Thought I'd ask you guys....

My oldest daughter is having a Relay For Life Team next Saturday and her booth theme is Carnival. If anyone has any creative ideas for games I would  to hear them. So far we have the standard tic-tac-toe game, magnetic darts, and someone suggested a Find-the-right-key door game.

Thank you in Advance for any help....you all are so wonderful.

Have a wonderful day - going to check out for a while...got me some hunting to do (as in carnival games)

Good afternoon, it is a hot, humid day here in Virginia

Ever have one of those days where you have so many things you could be doing, but you just feel like doing nothing? That is me today. I worked this morning and now, I just want to veg.

I think I will walk down and get the mail, maybe that will inspire me to do something.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

92 degrees and 55% humidity in Orlando. Two hours of yardwork down, three to go!

I know I posted this a few months ago, but I wanted to post it again.

I thought I posted this last night, but I couldn't find it so I thought I'd repost again. I saw there is a new UK resident discount out for the 9/8 Med cruise, and I was wondering if it would work for any of the UK folks who may be doing the B2B cruises. I think the booking code is "UKR" but not sure about that. I saw it on the DCL website.

Thanks. I wish we could do that cruise.

The pedi treatment had me intrigued. Now I think I might look into this one too. The only spa treatment I have done with DCL is the CC cabana massage which was heavenly. Usually I don't like to spend money on spa treatments, but I might splurge on myself this trip.
