Speaking of fun to watch....Boise State! Now those kids are fun to watch. Every big game they come up with some crazy play that works for them and is just too much fun to watch! :cheer2: Sorry....you got me going....I love it. I'll just quiet down now....Back to Disney planning. :rolleyes1

OK guys....anyone who has taken the Disney insurance this is for you....we booked our cruise in 2008 and the insurance for my DW and I was almost $400.00. Checked last night to see if the price of the cruise had changed....we payed the cruise off in February.....the insurance had gone down. I called DCL today and they stated that since I had payed the cruise off the could not make any adjustments unless I cancel and rebook and that would mean losing our onboard credit. Anyway, I explained that I thought that since we still had time before the cruise went into the penalty phase, we should be able to make changes....After a while on hold, they came back with the change without any problems. Our insurance went from $388 to $158 for both of us. The coverage is still the same and we saved $230.00--significant money. My advice....check your insurance and call if you paid more. More money for us to spend on the ship!
Tom:cool1:

I just checked on mine and here's the weird part... mine is $378.00 and if I booked today I would pay $427.04 It went up !
Looks like I just might have to call DCL tomorrow:confused3

Ann:teacher:

OK, I just don't get all the college football talk, So all the UCLA and USC stuff is flying over my head! :rotfl:
We don't have anything like that here, well.....not that I know of? I wish we did, It sounds fun! :thumbsup2

budget, always been great

usa rentacar has been rubbish and we only used them once.

We have used Usrentacar about 6 times now and have found the fantastic. They even replied instantly to 2 email queries. Usualy manage an offer so get a very good rate. We did have an uncleaned car from Port Canaveral last time, but that was the budget depots failure. Wouldn't stop me going there again though as they are cheap.

Hi everyone.
Just a general post as I wanted to say bye for a couple of weeks, as I am off on the Med cruise. :dance3:
We have decided to get an earlier flight, so as to make sure we get there, with this stupid ash cloud. :headache:.
We havent been to Barcelona before, so lm sure we can amuse ourselves for 3 days :lmao:.
Will post back when I return.
Have a good few weeks, I am sure with all the daily posts it will take ages to catch up. :)

Enjoy your cruise. Looking forward to hearing about Barcelona and all the hints and tips.

:lmao: So, I guess Dennis was the token poor kid at the University of Spoiled Children....no scholarships, no grants, no money from any family, just a full time job supporting a wife and two kids, some loans that took 10 years to pay off and lots of hard work. Spoiled I guess. ;) I really am quite proud of him. :lovestruc He was the first to graduate from USC school of pharmacy ( or so they told us) while working full time (and he had me and the kids to distract him also!). The Dean told me on graduation day that he had won some money on Dennis. Seems they had a bet going as to whether he would make it through. He had to carry 19 units and he worked sometimes 48 hours a week, always at least 40. He slept about 4 hours a night for 9 years. Determined man. Now he sleeps alot!! :rotfl:

Ok, now don't tell him I was bragging about him!!

You do right to brag!!! Well done Dennis. Well done you too as he would have had to have had a load of support from you through that!!!:thumbsup2

I made a very quick run (well, ok drive) to town today and decided to make a quick stop to look for shoes....less than half an hour and I found TWO pair for the cruise! SCORE!! :dance3: Sandals and a pair of white tennies that are very light weight. Yay!!! Now I am set and think I can make it with 3 pair of shoes...black heels for dress up dinners, black sandals I just bought for daytime ship and also for cruise casual dinners. Tennies for excursions. Yeah!
shoes:woohoo:

enjoy, cant wait to hear about it.
No chance of the same mags, Mine are from Australia! ;)

I think we've had this conversation, but...they only call them posh names to charge you more money for them! Really they are just cross breads or 'muts'! But oh so worth every penny! ;)
I also love your Orly's bling, Is it doggy bling or human bling? I love the range of doggy clothes and stuff in USA, not much available here. I didn't get a chance to look in the UK. Looks like you have a good range though.

:
Yes, we have, I had wine last night, my first night of after a week of nights:laughing:
Orlys "bling" comes from usa.
So, thinking about doing a blog for the trip. Well, beyond thinking about it... I started one. not sure I will stick with it, but, I am trying. Part of why is that we are going to have Stephen write one when school starts and keep it up for the trip. I will probably get a small internet package and we will compose off line, and then upload. I think it will be a good exercise for him, and he can share his vacation with his class. I hope that he will have enough educational content that the teachers let the classes read it...

Anyway, if anyone is interested in my first ever blog.... here it is... http://suekraft.blogspot.com/

I cant mind exactly what happened but they e-mailed me and told me what line to stand in, I waited in say hertz, i cant mind for 50 mins at sanford, ridiculuos, then it turned out it was the wrond line, I need to be in the budget line, they were right next to each other, she spoke to the girl in the booth next door, she wasnt nice at all and said I was to wait then in her line, I showed them both the e-mail and she they both shrugged, I then had to stand in another line for half an hour, usa rentacar werent in the least interested, I swear, i nearly cruised when they made me wait in the other line.

Whatever I booked isn't called 'trainer for a day'. It's called the 'Dolphin Swim Package' and includes 1 day at Seaworld as part of the 'bundle'.
I booked in February for 6 people, Not sure whether it was a special deal or not?

Hi, and Welcome!!! :goodvibes

Lucky your in Concierge!!! What great perks! :thumbsup2

We don't have any passes? Must have been a special?

It's a date! :rotfl:

Thanks, I needed this info too ;)

So cute, Now I have to post a picture of my baby! She a little bigger now, She is 1 and a half now. Her name is Holly, She's a spoodle (cocker spaniel cross poodle). She's a water baby, always jumping off our pontoon chasing the ducks!
BalletConcert2008301.jpg

That is my biggest concern when we travel, My fur baby! We have a great family who all help out, but I still worry! :sad2:

It's not worth taking a day off, It takes hours to catch up, Just don't go anywhere.....ever again! You've been told! :lmao:

The movie was very ordinary, I hope the book is better for your sake! :thumbsup2

Holly is precious.

Discovery Cove currently offers four different packages:

Trainer for a Day at $448, Dolphin Swim Package $249, Discovery Cove & SeaWorld Package at $299, which combines the non-dolphin swim package with either the Beluga Interaction or Shark Deep Dive at Seaworld and Non-Dolphin Swim Package for $149. All 4 packages include 14 days admission to either Seaworld, Busch Gardens or Aquatica. For an extra $80 you can have all three parks, but the validity remains the same.

So the price is right, but if you are only getting one day, then you have been had. I would go back to wherever you bought this from and complain.

Well that does suck Lynne and I would have been mad too. How come you didn't know which car hire company you had booked though?

Thanks for doing this Sue! I just wanted to see if you were taking orders for the logo shirts or the Drink Me Up shirts or both? I'm pretty sure we're interested in both, but I wanted to double check first! Also, when is the latest we can sign up for the tastings and are you the right person to tell? I can't keep track! LOL! Thanks in advance!

Tasting cut off is July 15.

I am tracking orders for both Shirts. Todd was doing the design for the main one, and I was going to use the same front and the the following for the back:

Let me know your thoughts!

Okay, just checked my vacation protection plan - I booked last week and the total for my DD and I was $171.00 through Disney.

I love the football talk. It is always fun in Diversions and we will have a great time. Last September they put a late game on the big screen - Deck 9 and I sat right next to the Pizza stand. It was great!:woohoo:

If people are looking how to get from the port to the airport or even a Disney resort, you should try angelsluxurytransportation.com. They seem to be inexpensive.

She is a DOLL!!! We had Cockapoos - same mix - and somehow SPOODLE sounds so much better! Sadly ours have passed and due to Glenn and Beccas skin issues we have not added a new fur baby to our house. We do want to - just need to find the right breed. I liked the Spoodle - but was hoping to get a larger baby. I had been looking at the DOODLES - specifically a labradoodle as they supposedly shed less and don't have the higher dander. Exzema needs a cure so my biggest and littlest kids are not suffering!

OK - do I need to start worrying about the ash cloud affecting our flights? I just over heard a co worker say that they are just bumping people off of flights because they are not putting as many flights in the air, and that they are re routing flights, so 3-5 hour delays... I want my 2 days in Spain, so I hope that we will not be affected.

Anyone have any thoughts on this one? We have had our tickets forever, I would hate to get bumped. I am sure Walt and Di would agree as they are in the row right behind us. Best bet says they don't want to get bumped either, and no one likes kids asking are we there yet if there is a long delay... :rotfl2:

I am saying a prayer to the God of all things volcanic so the eruptions stop while we are all doing the DISney thing! That way we can all get to the boat, cruise, visit the Mouse, and get home without incident... :worship:

In the uk labradoodles are your oringinal posh crossbreed, here, it was the guide dogs that started it, as they are good with folks with alergies as the poodle bit means they dont shed as much if indeed at all,but they wanted to have the lab temprement.
They are gorgeous dogs a lot of them,

Well there is no way of knowing as yet, but the volcano eruption shows no sign of stopping yet, and went on for 2 years last time I believe. However the flight operators etc are getting good at going round the cloud if they can. The main problem seems to be like right now when certain countries' airports have to be closed - Portugal and some in Spain I believe.

We can only hope and pray at the moment.:sad2:

So this am it was wall to wall sunshine(cold though) this afternoon it has been snowing and hail, come on mr sun get out.
I am away to brush the horses, it is some job at this time of year, its never ending job, but at least the birds like it.

Nice to meet you. I'm Stephanie. This is my birthday cruise. I'm traveling with my BFF (best friend forever) Terry. We both will turn 60 on this cruise. We are really excited.:dance3::dance3:

What a great way to celebrate your 60th! The 60+ years are great.:)

This sounds like fun BUT I could never sign up - I know I would never be up that early! Last cruise I even bought pj's for it and missed it.

If it was say a cookies and milk party while we washed clothes at 2 am - I am all over it ;) (yes on the EBTA I washed clothes from 2 - 4 am - had all the washers and dryers to myself - it was wonderful!)

please please do this one, we are def trying to do the am cruise.

Willl definitely aim for this one in the morning ... then we can just chill out in the town and the shops after lunch on board the ship. Sounds like a plan :thumbsup2

I made a very quick run (well, ok drive) to town today and decided to make a quick stop to look for shoes....less than half an hour and I found TWO pair for the cruise! Yeah!

3 pairs of shoes ..... that would be some achievement. I am trying to find shoes which "go with everything" but I have clothing in too many styles and colours.

Hope you have a wonderful cruise and that the ash cloud doesn't rear it's ugly head again and cause problems. I have already requested an extra day off before we leave home on 16th September just in case we need to make continency plans and start out earlier.

They are making me smile even though I don't feel much like smiling with my job search. I'm just frustrated with how I have to go about applying for the different jobs. I take so much time and consideration when I apply and then I really never hear anything back. My family is telling me that it takes a long time and to be patient. I know it takes a long time, but I can't help but be frustrated with it. Sigh...sorry about the vent. :sad1:

Hoping something turns up for you soon :hug: You must be so frustrated and you really deserve better luck :wizard: Feel free to vent. Sometimes getting things off your chest can help and thats what matters.

So, thinking about doing a blog for the trip. Well, beyond thinking about it... I started one. not sure I will stick with it, but, I am trying. Look forward to reading your blog Sue. I was thinking of doing one but would probably fil it all in after I return as it would take me ages to blog on my ipod touch and I am definitely not taking any larger technology with me. I believe the on board wireless is a bit disappointing from what I have read.

Tasting cut off is July 15.

Love these T-shirts, but then anything with Captain Jack on it is good to go by me

Jason and I are going to blog about our trip, too. We have already created the blog page (through google/blogspot as well) but we have not started loading content. I imagine that I'll actually start loading content and pictures a week or so before we actually begin our trip. We decided the blog woudl be a good idea because we're going to be gone for such a long time that it will be an easy way for all our friends and family to keep track of us without us needing to email home all the time.

I just checked on mine and here's the weird part... mine is $378.00 and if I booked today I would pay $427.04 It went up !
Looks like I just might have to call DCL tomorrow:confused3

Ann:teacher:

We booked ours through Disney, too, but only about 2 weeks ago so our price hasn't shifted and we are OK with the deal we got. Plus we're hesitant to call our TA and ask her to look into any more discounts since she already worked to get us that huge discount on our Med cruise and a very slight rebate (that somehow miraculously did NOT affect our OBC) for the TA portion of the trip.

OK, I just don't get all the college football talk, So all the UCLA and USC stuff is flying over my head! :rotfl:

Oh thank heavens someone else said it first! :thumbsup2 I was sitting here thinking the same thing....well, actually, that's not true..I wsa thinking that it was flying over my head.....I was literally thinking---"What are they talking about?! I'm gayer than I thought!!" :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Just wanted to say Thank You to all the kind words and thoughts ,
also wanted to say we are
PIF:banana::banana::banana:

For both the Med and the TA
