Nice to meet you. I'm Stephanie. This is my birthday cruise. I'm traveling with my BFF (best friend forever) Terry. We both will turn 60 on this cruise. We are really excited.

Hi everyone.
Just a general post as I wanted to say bye for a couple of weeks, as I am off on the Med cruise.
We have decided to get an earlier flight, so as to make sure we get there, with this stupid ash cloud. .
We havent been to Barcelona before, so lm sure we can amuse ourselves for 3 days .
Will post back when I return.
Have a good few weeks, I am sure with all the daily posts it will take ages to catch up.

Evening all. Sorry haven't really had time to catch up as you've all been very chatty. My Grandmother unexpetantly passed away on Sunday night so with this and exams next week I'm not sure Ill be around much but just wanted to say hi to everyone! I will try and keep popping it. As it is the funeral is on Thursday afternoon next week (exams Wednesday and Thursday morning) so hopefully after that will get a chance to pop back over! Please don't type too much in the mean time

I started to do that, but I think the difference is that you had already paid for the insurance, while I was trying to add it on. Their policy clearly says that they don't take any insurance payments once a cruise is paid in full, even though I argued that we weren't at the PIF date yet. I can still mention it, but at this stage since we've already changed everything around, I don't know how much progress we'll make.

Can you not purchase insurance outside of DCL? Go to insuremytrip.com and get some quotes.

Sorry for your loss - prayers are with you - and for the crying - if someone asks you what they can do for you and you do not know - tell them you want a copy of the book "Tear Soup" (Amazon has it) it is a childrens type book with pictures but the message is so strong - I reread it often - even after 7 years since my mother passed suddlenly, and I can find comfort in knowing the tears will come now and later and differently for everyone. Huggs.

Well it seems our politicians have finnaly got together and sorted out who's in charge.

Lets hope Mr Cameron can quickly act, and boost the rubbish exchange rate for us Brits!

I need to PIF soon and i'm hoping for a little improvement in the current strength of the Pound, Plus all us Brits need spending money for our cruise, so lets hope we see some movement super soon

Discovery Cove currently offers four different packages:

Trainer for a Day at $448, Dolphin Swim Package $249, Discovery Cove & SeaWorld Package at $299, which combines the non-dolphin swim package with either the Beluga Interaction or Shark Deep Dive at Seaworld and Non-Dolphin Swim Package for $149. All 4 packages include 14 days admission to either Seaworld, Busch Gardens or Aquatica. For an extra $80 you can have all three parks, but the validity remains the same.

So the price is right, but if you are only getting one day, then you have been had. I would go back to wherever you bought this from and complain.

Corinna, It may be a 14 day, with an option of which park you choose, I chose Seaworld, And only have one day to spare anyway. We have 12 days at WDW, so 2 days away with DC and SW is only leaving us 10 days at WDW. Wouldn't spend another day there, We did 2 days there in 2008, so I just need a Shamu fix and I'll be done.

She is a DOLL!!! We had Cockapoos - same mix - and somehow SPOODLE sounds so much better! Sadly ours have passed and due to Glenn and Beccas skin issues we have not added a new fur baby to our house. We do want to - just need to find the right breed. I liked the Spoodle - but was hoping to get a larger baby. I had been looking at the DOODLES - specifically a labradoodle as they supposedly shed less and don't have the higher dander. Exzema needs a cure so my biggest and littlest kids are not suffering!

My mum had a labradoodle, beautiful dog, such a lovely nature and great for allergies, didn't drop any hair. My Holly is more like wool that fur, She doesn't even shed when I brush her.
Exzema is really horrible, I hope a cure is just around the corner!

OK - do I need to start worrying about the ash cloud affecting our flights? I just over heard a co worker say that they are just bumping people off of flights because they are not putting as many flights in the air, and that they are re routing flights, so 3-5 hour delays... I want my 2 days in Spain, so I hope that we will not be affected.

Anyone have any thoughts on this one? We have had our tickets forever, I would hate to get bumped. I am sure Walt and Di would agree as they are in the row right behind us. Best bet says they don't want to get bumped either, and no one likes kids asking are we there yet if there is a long delay...

I am saying a prayer to the God of all things volcanic so the eruptions stop while we are all doing the DISney thing! That way we can all get to the boat, cruise, visit the Mouse, and get home without incident...

I agree, I am starting to panic a little. We fly in the day before the cruise, but don't really have much time for any delays from Australia. If any of the airports are closed we might not make it.
I'm praying too!!! That's all we can do, It's out of our hands!

This sounds like fun BUT I could never sign up - I know I would never be up that early! Last cruise I even bought pj's for it and missed it.

If it was say a cookies and milk party while we washed clothes at 2 am - I am all over it (yes on the EBTA I washed clothes from 2 - 4 am - had all the washers and dryers to myself - it was wonderful!)

I just checked mine which was booked a day before Hoagiepie. Hers for two people is $171, mine for one person is $189. ?????

Yup... thats what I paid! DH and I are in a cat 4, DCL said it was the % of the cruise.
Right now Im not a happy cruiser. We lost out of the $100.oo pp OBC(had to book before November 2009, which we did long before that date) and no change of insurance But I do get to keep the big $25.oo for booking on line

now, back to being nice...
