Ahoy mates , Since it is Mothers Day I felt it appropriate to finally come here to the board and tell my story of the last year and why my disappearance for most of it ...First let me say , that without my Mothers help and caring , along with friends and family I may not have made it through this year .

Last June I was hit with my marriage of 15 years was ending , it was a shock and too be honest I wont go into the particulars , but at 41 I was devastated. Of course Mom to the rescue and I couldnt thank her enough , she was there every minute and day, she put her troubles and aliments on the shelf to tend to her son, she gave me hope when I had none and gave me strength when I was weak. She steered me to God and to prayer and eventually everyday became just a bit brighter. It still baffles me to this day that after my 42 years of life my Mom is one of the wisest people I know, she to me is God sent in every meaning of the word and I love her dearly ..

Now almost a year later , Thanks to God , my Mother , My Family and dear Friends, life is grand .. I met a beautiful women who I claim is heaven sent because in my eyes she is .. Her name is Helen and she should be joining Me and my son Destin on this cruise along with her son Sean . On April 27th 2010 after 7 months of dating we made a covenant to each other and God . This cruise will be our delayed Honeymoon as we have lots of particulars we are trying to take care of .... So there you have it ... This Mothers Day mean's soooooooo much to me cause without mine , I may not have weathered the storm... So to my Mom .. I love you endlessly Happy Mothers Day ...

And to all of you , thank you for at least reading ...and now let me share with you pictures of one of the Happiest days of my life ...

mdwoodman, what did you decide re your snorkling?
There is 2 I fancy,

I'm leaning toward the Virgin Island Sail Snorkel and Beach Adventure. It's $59 whereas the Catamaran Sail and Snorkel is $89 (When we did it on our own in St. Kitts, it was $25 for 4 hours and included lunch and all you could drink - I think they lost money on us ).

My excursion reservation date is 5 June, so I need to make up my mind soon!

I believe the date is June 5th! Also, I love the idea of 10 AM, we are not morning people either. I don't even make breakfast - wake up, walk and lunch sounds great!

I am gold too, so I saw June 5th and thought "but my castaway cay club page says May 20th.." then I remembered that Angie and Dennis like me so I get to do the Platinum date with them, I luvs my disney mom and dad.

We're stuck with June 20th as just silvers. Other than Palo dinner and brunch, there is nothing we are dying to get signed up for. I'm not sure we are doing very many DCL excursions because overpriced x 5 people is way expensive, and most of the cool things would exclude our 3 year old. We may sign up for something in the Spa. We did the Rasoul Mud thing last time and it was fun but so steamy that it was a bit much. I kept feeling faint (low blood pressure) - I'm sure that was romantic for DH!.

What are other people interested in signing up for on June 5/20/July 5?

DH likes to stick to DCL excursions and if so, we may do City Under Siege in Gibraltar, Culture & History in Madeira, debating between Under Flag Two Island and Twelve Meter Regatta in St Maarten (hope have time to do both) and maybe discover Scuba on Tortola or ATV trip proposed by DIS member.

The best dolphin swim we ever did with the dolphins was a Sea World Orlando's Discovery Cove where we all did trainer for a day. Below is a picture they took of Aspen.

That looks and sounds so cool - but there will be 5 of us in Feb. when we will be in Orlando again for our Dream Cruise and it is $400+ per person and that comes to more than our cruise Thank you for sending the info though - it sounds awesome and if we were not doing a B2B cruise I might have been able to fit it in.

Good grief!! I just saw that it is now $448 per person. When we did it back in 2007 it was only about $200 each. Boy have they really increased the pricing. I know it includes a 14 day pass to the parks but that is totally out of my price range too!!

LOL - adding the 14 day pass adds $80 to it so for one person it is $508

I think we are going to do this in Tortola - while it is only a 2.5 hour thing vs an all day thing like the other things - I do not need food - as I can get that on the ship the price in Tortola is $159 per person so that is more in my price range (still a lot but something DD really wants to do after doing the dolphin boat ride in Gilbaltor)

Hello fellow transatlantic cruisers...just returned today from a NCL cruise to Bermuda....boy does Disney do it better.....but I have a quick question for you guys.....I priced my cruise again and the vacation insurance dropped like in half....when we booked it was $378.00 for my dw and I....now on the DCL website it is $171.00.....does not make sense.....has anyone heard anything about the price going down on insurance? Have a week of posts to go back and read....thanks for any info.
