Hi and welcome to the group.

We are taking a taxi to our hotel. I think it is a set cost from the airport to the city, but can't remember what that is.

Welcome aboard Sandy and your DH. I am Noel and my DH is John. We got a quote of 37.2 Euros from a taxi company going from the Barcelona Airport to Le Meridien. Hope that helps.

Thanks Marilyn

Ok so now the Fish Extender list are now posted i can see i am now officially a "PINEAPPLE"

Just a quick cry for help tho, it seems that amongst my fellow "Pineapple" are boys aged 12,and 13 .........so anyone got any smart ideas of what teenage boy's like???

Apart from teenage girls of course :rotfl:

I have ideas for younger children as I have a young nephew and neice, (although she's 8 going on 18!!!)

Don't teenage boys hate everything???, "Stupid Europe, Stupid neo-classical architecture”
(I’m joking of course):rotfl:

(I know all teenagers secretly love neo-classical architecture);)

So without soiling your own treats, what might I look to give slightly older kids

For anyone doing magnets I got Milliepie to design this one for me

WBTransatlanticitinerary2010.html

as I'd seen the east bound one she had done :thumbsup2

If this link doesn't work let me know and I'll send you a copy you can print.

Sarah

Thanks, I love it!!!

I like that. How would we get it bigger for a door magnet?

And how do I copy it with this Mac? I could copy with my pc, but haven't managed yet with this.:confused3:headache:

I have a mac, I double finger clicked on the link and opened it in a new window, this brought up Sarah's photobucket account, I then downloaded it to my computer. It automatically goes to 'downloads', you can then save it from there to your documents or whichever program you want to print from. Hope that works for you :thumbsup2

Hey all,

Just back from a weekend in Toronto to work on a project I'm doing with so colleagues from around the country. A sort of retreat/writing weekend...very nice and relaxing while also productive!! Now back to the real world, working and time to kick it into high gear to raise money for the AIDS Walk (which Jason and I do here in Rochester every year for the past 7 years!

Thanks Marilyn

I love that magnet. I may print that up for our door....and it inspires me a bit, too, for how we might make the lanyard name badges look. I haven't officially finished designing them, but I am leaning in the direction of designing something that incorporates something Disney and the flags of all the ports we will visit on the WBTA....so something along the lines of that magnet is a strong contendor! (It's also nice because it's very colorful, which I like and which would coordinate with basically any color lanyard!)

Another option is rather than thinking of fish extender gifts as being for each of the individuals in each room (which is almost like a secret mickey exchange to some degree) to think of doing something for the full cabin. Jason and I generally make a little grab bag of things that a full cabin can share AND that are not necessarily personalized to the people in the cabin so that we can give the same thing to every cabin1 :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (which makes it easier for mass producing AND for delivering them!!)

YAY! Cat 3, you lucky thing!!!
We also want to do the City under siege in Gibralter, and we're pretty stuck after that. We'd like to go up the cable cars in Madiera. Not really interested in any of the boat adventures as we have a boat of our own. Maybe the glass bottom boat? Would love to go horse riding but kids are too young?
We're in the same boast as you when it comes to port excursions :confused3:lmao:

Wow, scary 3 days! My Holly took off after some ducks a few days ago and went swimming to the other side of the river, My DD7 was swimming after her in her full school uniform, shoes and all, That was only an hour and was pretty scary! 3 days would have been horrendous!
Yes, the 'posh names' that they give to cross breeds just so they can charge you more money for them, and really, they are just bitsa's (bit of this, bit of that) :rotfl:
Hounds, whowouldhavethem:confused:
Question for the UK residents -
I tried to order the DCL DVD and it doesn't have Australia available on he list, so I e-mailed DCL to ask if I could get one. NO! They won't send to Australia, just wondering whether they post to the UK? Weird? I wonder why not?
It's not a major problem, I just wanted to prepare and excite the family with the DVD. :confused3
I had to get mine posted to friend in usa, then she posted it to scotland for me:)
Im giving up and waiting until the last minute to pay in full. Voted yesterday as going to be away so had to do a postal vote. Well just see what happens

Hope you and Lynne have a fab time this weekend! Missing you both! Wish I could have made it!
I really, really wish you could have made it too, but i have big hug waiting esp for you Sarah!
:We've joined the Paid In Full Club:woohoo:

Today we also paid for our MNSSHP on Sunday 3rd October, never been in Florida at this time of year before so really looking forward to it, hope it not too Shame it wasn't the 4th as thats my birthday!

Had a trial run with our cases yesterday and we should just about do it, who comes up with these stupid weight restrictions:rotfl: don't they know crusiers need outfits:lmao: (20kgs):scared1:

It's getting closer and we can't wait
Happy May bank holiday everybodyQUOTE]
congrats, 20 kg
Been Googling and saw this Telegraph article which is interesting. It says there is a Body Shop too, which has the sensitive products I use. Also a BHS.

Lynne (Orlandothebeagle) is sorting it so pm her is probably best as shes away for the weekend and may miss the post. Last time when we did the room tour, the conceirge rooms arranged snacks through their conceirge guy but arranged in adavance that one would do sweet and one savoury so they weren't identicle.
PM< me Im waiting till pif to fix out for def:thumbsup2
Indeed! Maybe we can finish the cabin tour there? Ill find something... :) I need to take full advantage of the extras that come with the suite...
:thumbsup2
Great idea! Has anyone seen a cabin tour list of late?
We have a cat 3 already thanks to dear Giles.they are sorting out nibbles me thinkkspopcorn::
For those of you worried about the weight restrictions, I just have to plug the Balanzza handheld luggage scale. We have used ours for our last 3 cruises and it works like a dream! We've taken luggage that weighs 49.8 pounds per our scale and had it weigh exactly the same on the airport scale. It is so much easier to measure and re-adjust in the comfort of your room rather than trying to do it at the airpot. Our does both pounds and kg. While it is a bit of a feat to lift 50 pounds in a way that doesn't touch anything else, it has been our best travel accessory for the past few years!

You can always put in your cruise reservation that you are celebrating your birthday, and then your server will ask which night you want to celebrate. They'll bring out a birthday button and cake at that time. It doesn't have to be your actual birthday. Enjoy!!
They scales are the best things I ever bought!!!!
Bob and Dawn came down to Harrogate for the weekend and we had a great time!!! We know them from another board, and have met them in Orlando before. You will love them. We had a lot of laughs.

Unfortunately Bob had a bad cold and so they didn't do all they wanted to do locally, but we got to see them for 2 meals out and 2 coffee meets!!!:cool1: One of the coffee meets also included another couple who came all the way over from Lancashire(how brave of them!!!) to join us. John and I hadn't met them before, but isn't it great how having a common love of Disney brings us all together.:dance3:

Marilyn..................................:cloud9:glad you had a nice weekend!
Just wanted to write a quick note to say I am so glad I found all of you! Being part of this Dis group of crazy planners and beautiful friendly people makes the lead up to our first cruise so much more special and exciting.
Thank-you to everyone! :flower3::flower3::flower3:
:flower3:
All this talk of weight limits is making me nervous! I guess I'll head over to Aer Lingus to see what they allow. What I did in 2008 when we went to Greece for three weeks was hit the Kohl's end-of-summer sales before we left (we traveled in September). I picked up stacks of shirts for $3-$5. Then I left them in Greece to make room for all of my treasures! I may need to do the same for this trip.
Mind and make use of hand luggage!

wooohoo, we loved it in san fran
Good morning everyone

We are back from Mousemeets We really enjoyed our 2 days away, and the highlights of the weekend were meeting up with Lynne and Len and having a lovely lunch with them, and also getting tgether with our wonderful Disney friends from the DIS UK boards.

We had a lovely meal in the Hard Rock Cafe, and a few drinkies in the bar on the Saturday evening. On the Sunday we attending the Mousemeets events: a talk on buying a holiday home in Orlando which has totally put me off ever doing that, a talk on Port Orleans Resort, which was interesting especially as we are staying there in October, a Disney Quiz which we did particularly badly at ( because Lynne and Len missed the second part .... we were even worse without them :rotfl: ) There were also Disney collectables on sale and Taryn ( DD ) and her DBF ( Matt) bought me a wonderful Disney Traditions Steamboat Willie Mickey figure. We also got to see a cinema showing of Snow White on the big screen, which was wonderful ( and it was rather scary :scared1: seeing that witch on the big screen )

Needless to say our conversations were mostly about the cruise and how excited we all were ..... and now after meeting Lynne and Len we are even more excited :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

My only complaint was that the weekend flew by and it was all a bit hectic trying to fit everything in.
woooooooooshhhhhhhhh, that was the weeekend, had an ace time with our very own cruise buddies:thumbsup2

Hi, I cant help you, but pleased to meet you:goodvibes

I think I saw somewhere a few pages back that someone new joined the boards and might have wanted to get lanyards.....if that is still the case, contact me by PM IMMEDIATELY as I am really trying to get the lanyards finalized and ordered by the end of this week.

To that end, there are still a number of folks who have not replied to my PM's about the lanyards and so i'm not entirely sure what to do with them----are they still on the cruise with us? Should I take them off? Did they just not respond? :confused3:confused3 The folks I'm waiting on hearing from are:

alexturner74
BoosGram
Buttercup
CapeCAD
coconut1
Dis-Bits
DisneyTrek
figment795 & tigger795
Goofygranny
Harvey
Jewelmicky
KAP158
KellyJeanDVC
KrisannB
LadyPoo
OKWJIM
SeaSpray
Sue L
Wkrider
YodaMouse

Does anyone know their stories?? Is anyone travelling with any of those folks and maybe you confirmed under your DIS name but forgot to mention that their DIS names were correct, too? Is anybody active on any other threads where any of those folks post and can gently nudge them to get in touch with me? (I hesitate to continue sending out PM's for fear of getting the moniker: "WBTA Lanyard Stalker" :lmao::lmao:)
