We have stayed in Miami a couple of time before cruises. Do you have a price range? Do you want to be in South Beach? Other location?

I really don't know much about the place. I have heard all sorts from folk who love it to folks who just want to get out of the place!!! I guess not too expensive though. We will have a car.

I know! I'm so ready but then again I'm not! :rotfl:

There's still money to be saved and tickets to be bought and I'm not even done with planning! I better get on it!

I have quite a bit to do too!!!!!! Not ready at all here.:headache:

Most hotels run from about $150 (including all taxes) or more. Is that in your price range?

Hello!
And its seems that although there were 2 formals and 3 semis in the navigator, peops didnt seem to bother much, only dressing up once or so? I LOVE dressing up! Please tell me I'm not going to be the only one in frocks and heels most nights!

Am still a little anxious about how many children will be on board. Correction. How many UNRULY children will be on board. As someone rightly points out, if there are 400 children on board, and only 30 are badly behaved, its that 30 you notice, not the 370 well behaved ones!! I read very mixed reports. So will keep an open mind.

Lyn

I love dressing up. I will bring two formal dresses and 3 semi-formal dresses and I intend wearing all of them.

Corinna

What she said. I only have one formal dress (currently :rolleyes1) but I'm working on more.

About the kids. We had a very low number on the WBPC cruise, and we hardly saw them except at dinner, since we had first seating. I don't recall having any problems with them. Well, now that I think about it quite a few of them were at the later show with us, but, again, most of them were well behaved.

:cutie:

I really know what you mean. I did an excel spreadsheet of all the "hidden" costs of sightseeing, gifts, tips, etc. and was that a shocker!!

Just my thoughts...

My thoughts, too! Sightseeing and all the rest can get pricey, can't it!!

I may just have to "walk" around the ship a bit more while in port! Or would that be "waddle?"

Michael

Well I think that is what we will have to pay!! I imagine any less in Miami and it would be a bit dodgy or in a dodgy area!!!

Most of the deals we get are on different travel websites. Do you want a couple of recommendations?

:lmao::thumbsup2:rotfl2:
Ha Ha Ha...Wonderful! My sort of kids then!!!! :cheer2:
Oh yes! Spa twins in the house!:cool1::cool1:

Put me into this category as well. My kids are very excited about going on this trip. And, while we try to keep them from eating junk food all the time, the sheer excitement could lead to a melt down with my little one. My older (is 13) will spend most of the time with the Ocean Quest group. I hope that he contines to be the polite young man that I know he can be. And it prior cruises are an indicator, any unruliness will be in our cabin. I really hope it wont be an issue and he is the history buff of the family and is researching ports and learning the local history and customs.
Spa twins in the house!:cool1::cool1:

Put my daughter in the same category as your son. No need to worry, but do kids with parents have to worry about the people without kids and a few drinks!!:dance3: I heard the only problem on the WBTA last year was that some parents didn't tell their children to sit down during dinner so they would run around the tables. That is the only issue I have ever heard of, of course I am sure there are more. Since I am Captain's Dining, I think I need to worry more then the people with Crew Dining!

CACruisin - Congrats on Nursing school!!!
We're Captain's dining too! We can't wait!!:cool1:

:lmao::woohoo:

This really is wonderful news!! Congratulations, there will be other cruises that you will get to enjoy.

My 60th this year too!! Lots of us celebrating that I think! :dance3:

I will keep my eye out for those two unruly ones and :lmao::rotfl::grouphug::grouphug::lmao::grouphug:!!!! What a fun time we will have!
Yay for 60!!!!:cool1::cool1::banana:

My kids are grown. They can book their own cruise and fly themselves!!! :lmao:

My PM named Mickey Charles Mouse or Chuckie for short is just the cutest. He has double the amount of shoes that I have!!!:lmao::lmao:

When I call Stephanie, her ring tone for me is the Cruise Horn. I cry every time I hear it!!! Bring on that Drink O' Day!!!:rotfl:

First ringtone I loaded onto the phone!!:goodvibes:goodvibes Is it September yet????pirate:pirate:

The good news is I have been accepted to nursing school:banana::banana::banana::banana: I have been taking prerequisite classes for the past year toward this goal.

Now the bad news, school starts July 12, so I will officially be cancelling this cruise later this morning:sad1:

My phone ringtone is DCL horn also!! :dance3:

Does anyone on here have any recommendations for hotels or areas to stay in Miami? We are flying back from there and thought to have just a couple of nights to have a little look around.

We are flying out of Miami and so will be there the night before. I think we will just do Priceline and ask for a 3 star at the airport. That works well for us at other cities.

Is there somebody how wants this?

Michael

I am going to try to not be waddling too much!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

DH and I may do some organized tours especially in Barcelona as we really want to see as much as possible. He always worried we will not be back on ship in time if we don't take the DCL tours as we usually take the long ones which take most of the day.

Just my thoughts...
