Must be the weekend, a time when there are other things to do instead of posting on DIS. Not much going on here this weekend. Or, is it just that after 1yr 2months 17 days, 3 threads, 667 pages, 10003 posts people just don't have much to say. Yeah, like that would ever happen this group didn't get to 10003 posts by being shy. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Its all the mad Christmas stuff going on I recon!

Good Morning, Jon. We just got up our Christmas tree. This will be DGD18mos first "aware of stuff" Christmas and I can't wait to see her reaction to it. I dressed the tree in a lot of old things that I don't care if she touches; I just don't want to spend the next few weeks telling her to stay away from the tree and worrying about breakable ornaments.

We have our tree in the spare room but Mum forgot to get the decorations down out of her attick for me (no storage room in my old flat for it all!) She completely forgot decorations so looks like itll be next week before we get decorations!

Good idea about the old decorations! You know shell go and break something if you put up your best ornaments. Its sods law!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes it's been since August that I haven't been on the boards. From Aug. 28th to Sept. 30th, I had three family members pass away. My uncle first, then my grandma frances and my father was the one on Sept. 30th. I am still doing a lot of paperwork for my father and our family trust. The attorney who did the trust from California never filed the change of ownership for the California property. Yes it's been rough here in Utah since the end of August. The holiday and daily activities have been rough for all of us here, especially for my mom. I just wanted you to know that I haven't been lurking but not on the boards at all.

Since there are TOO many pages to read, if someone would be so kind as to let me know thru a PM if there is anything important I need to know, I would totally appreciate. I will try to catch up in my free time. I truly hope everyone had a very nice holiday and weekend. I am looking forward to reconnecting with everyone.

Karen so sorry about all thats gone on. Hopefully this is the end of the bad patch. Don't think there's anything important to catch up on really. Im sure Ill think of something later.

Karen, i hope things will get better for you soon. Loosing loved ones is something none of us ever want to face. I am glad you have family to help you through this. I will be keeping good thought for you and your family.

Just booked our Virgin UC reward flights home today. We have to go from Miami to Heathrow. I was completely and utterly amazed as it ended up half the number of miles that I was expecting and was on the online dummy booking I did, and also the taxes etc was a silly low total - £82 each. I am sure it is wrong, but I kept asking him to check everything, and I am half expecting a phone call to ask for more money. On the dummy run through the taxes etc was about £180 each!!! Other than that I am not complaining at all.

Now to decide how to book the flight out, the Barcelona hotel and our DVC in WDW!!!

Karen, so sorry to hear your news. That is so very sad. I hope things will get better for you soon. We had a similar patch last year; DH and I both lost our moms in less than 3 weeks. It was horrible, but we had each other and got through it together. Here's to better days ahead.

Marilyn, good job on the air!! We are flying from Miami to Barcelona, so we need to figure out the best way to get from Orlando area (where we will stash the RV) to Miami. Maybe a rental car one way.

We managed BCV at 7 months out for this last vacation, from Sept 27th, so not a lot of difference in the dates,so stay hopeful!!

Congratulations on bookig your flight home. That was what we were charged as well, we have booked an internal flight from MCO to MIA as we didnt want a 4 hour drive down the turnpike, will just use ME to get to MCO and then we will have a couple of hours in the 1st class lounge in MIA instead.
