Just remember - never ask what a true Scotsman wears under his kilt - or you may be in for a shock! :scared1:

Based on previous discussion of luggage allowance and FE gifts this could start going in a whole bunch of directions and none of them seem to be good

I think we should have one every Monday so we get to know each other better.
We done this AGES ago, but we have lots of nice new ship mates, so we will start again. I will do tom, but everybody takes a shot!
I think we should have one disney Q and one real life Q. What do you think?

So...

1) What is your favourite part of the ship(if youve not sailed which part are you looking forward to most?)

2) What do you do for a living/suport disney cruise addiction(if youve not sailed before,it soon will be!)

My favorite part of the ship is a lounge chair on deck 4 with a good book and my ipod. Usually go to sleep within minutes.

What do I do for a living:
I am a field metering supervisor for the fourth largest electric compay in the US. Joi is retired from one job of 32 years and is employed in information technology full time for another company since retiring from the first.

That's terrible - here's hoping that the case is over quickly and with an agreeable outcome.

Kilts may certainly look drafty, but they're deceptively cozy. I used to dance in one - man those things are heavy! Just remember - never ask what a true Scotsman wears under his kilt - or you may be in for a shock! :scared1:

I was on a cruise and "Ducky Williams" was on board and wore his kilt on formal night along with his brother.:thumbsup2

:rotfl::rotfl: at the wet dog smell !!!

Cinnamon buns - thats what I had for every breakfast on the Magic - I just love them :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: ( and probably why I put on 7 lbs in weight on that cruise!)

I can say they are not as good on the Wonder, :confused3. I loved them on the Magic, I would take a couple with me after breakfast to have with coffee later in the day, sigh.....

WE are a mac family!!!:cool1::thumbsup2

Good family, I say, lol.

DM won't give up her PC desktop, it is a P3 with only 12 gb of HD, I can't stand when I have to use it. But I have got her using an iPod Touch and she loves it.

OMG - starting to go by quick now - and I'm sure it will begin to fly by after the holidays!! :thumbsup2

My favorite spot has to be Deck 4 late at night on the comfy chairs. So peaceful!!!

To feed my DCL addiction - I work with the maintenance computer system at a Pharmaceutical company.

I love those Deck 4 chairs, but cannot stay awake when I get in one no matter what time of day it is. :goodvibes

Just started jury service today. First time ever so I have been dreadfully nervous. It was a better experience than I expected but we have a disturbing case.:sad2:

Oh, hope it is not too bad. Dennis had to serve on a murder case many years ago. It was especially difficult because the defendent was a 17 year old girl who participated (with her boyfriend doing the actual beating and killing) in the murder of her mother.:sad1: Tough, tough, on many levels. :sad2:

Sorry I have been away from this thread: still totally excited. Life has been crazy busy. Two weeks into my 3 week vacation I can finally check in again.

1) My favourite part of the ship: I have no idea as we are going on our first cruise in 6 weeks, so for now, all of it looks fantastic!

2) I am an independent community midwife (and the Head Midwife at the two hospitals at which I have privileges - the former is more fun!)

DP (soon to be DH) is some kind of computer-network-systems-harware techie guy by day and teaches computer-networking-systems-hardware techie stuff at a local Electrician's union by night. Really, I only sort of get what he does after 13 years of living with the guy :confused3

Lets see... Where is Victor? :) Seriously, I don't have a favorite place. I like to sit, watch the people and if I see Victor, he is quick to suggest something to quench my thirst...

2) What do you do for a living/suport disney cruise addiction(if youve not sailed before,it soon will be!)

I work for a software company in our Hosting Group. We do supply chaing and work force management software.

Favorite part of the ship : Palo...dinner.

What we do for a living: Howard is a massage therapist and teaches it.
And me, Im an artist working in clay.
And no, I dont do pots:thumbsup2 I do female scuptures. Needless to say... DH makes the bucks.

woooooo hoooooooo - another midwife !!!!! I would love to get out on the community but we are basically waiting for them to retire before a vacancy becomes available. I am hospital based and most of my time these days is spent training student midwives. I did a community stint for 3 months to cover a shortage and I loved it :goodvibes. We will have to compare notes !!!

Thank you for supporting the RNLI - goodness knows they do a fantastic job at rescuing sailors at sea. :worship:

Yes,towd dad in twice over the years, they are the best, although they crack me up at anstruther doing exercises when they chuck "bob" over board then spend hours looking for him, then when they are bored they have me in hysterics on the vh radio calling everybody asking if theve seen him, I thought it was a real person the first time I heard them,:rotfl:

Oooh, us ladies love a man in uniform. :goodvibes

ooolala:thumbsup2

My DH will likely be bringing his kilt too. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

1. Favorite place on the ship
------outside area of Cove Cafe

2. What are our occupations
------We own 3 convenience stores with gasoline.
Lots of folks have said cove cafe, I never even really went, must try it next time, what do you all like about it?
Men in kilts ......... this is certainly going to be a cruise to remember !!!

The good thing is it will be warm so a lot more pleasant for the kilt wearers than in their home country !!!!

They have nice comfy chairs outside. The staff there are awesome. They have the nice little goodies in the cooler inside and also (not a large selection) books that you can check out for when I have finished the ones I brought. They make a delicious banana cream martini (it may not be on the menu anymore--but they will make it for you). Make sure you get their Cove coffee card buy 5 get one free---it's good for their alcohol coffees too.

Good morning everyone,

Dang it's cold this morning. In the 30's. I keep telling myself 11 days ago I was toasty warm on the Magic in shorts and tank top. Today I have on sweats, boots and long johns:lmao:

I am so ready to go back and cruise again!!! But first i need to do my scrapbook for this months cruise and last novembers cruise. Somehow it never got done and i just ran across all the items i saved from the 08 cruise, so I better get that done soon or I will have 3 cruises to put albums together  Thats too many at once to do.

Hope all of you who are in the U.S. are preparing for a nice Thanksgiving day with family and friends. Greg has 4 days off, so that will be nice.

I want him to look at excursions for this cruise so we can decide ahead of time and be able to book as soon as it is open to book.:goodvibes
We are usually the last to book anything.:sad2:

Well I am off to work on my trip report, hope to finish this weekend.

Have a great day everyone,
Kathy

We will be heading over to Washington State this afternoon for Thanksgiving with family. I think there will be around 30 this year. Both of our daughters from Oregon are coming as well as lots of nieces and nephews and their families from Washington. I have many dozen dinner rolls in various stages of rising, baking and cooling. Yummer! I have been baking all of our bread (no bread machine) for the last several weeks :goodvibes and am getting good enough at it that I volunteered to bring the rolls. :thumbsup2 I have a friend that gave me TONS of flour :worship: so I have made good use of it.
