Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.3

Hi cruisemates! :

My babies turned ONE yesterday! If you've got a free 13 minutes (I know, I know... but there are two of them! ) I made this slideshow of their first year. It goes by too quickly, no?! After having them, I find myself in such an odd predicament. I'd like time to crawl as they get bigger at light speed... but then kick and scream as time drags to, say, this cruise!

I want to see it...I'll have to watch it when I get home from work tonight.

Geesh that sounds like forever! I think I'd rather use months cause it sounds like less time somehow. LOL

Hey y'all... my baby turned 9 yesterday..... I can't believe my BABY is 9 already! I also can't believe I have one child almost grown. How the years go by..... and the older they get obviously means I'm getting older right? ugh
(yep, turning 40 in July. Does EVERYONE who turns 40 not feel the least bit like they can possibly be turning 40? That can't be right..... wow I used to think 40 was "so old" - my mom was almost 40 when we got married many moons ago... guess she wasn't as old as I thought. )

I hit 40 in April and I was not happy about it. But you know what hit me harder? Last week when I realized I'm a mom to a high schooler now.

Thanks guys! It really does go quickly. And I figure they may kill me for the tub shot, but on our website I actually posted video of them dancing like that because they were so excited to get in. Silly girls!

I hope you all are doing well. I've been reading along about lots of vacations and cruises and lots of job issues . I can empathize with the latter, and just keep hoping/reminding myself "this too shall pass"!

I hit 40 in April and I was not happy about it. But you know what hit me harder? Last week when I realized I'm a mom to a high schooler now.

Girl, I hear you! I totally agree.... being hit with the realization you have a highschooler is definitely a big eye opener. I was like huh, how'd that happen? Like I said- I don't FEEL like I'm almost 40 so I just forget that- can't forget (on a daily basis) that you have a highschooler!

Oh and btw- very belated Happy Birthday... I totally missed your birthday! How've you been?

I was totally sent back in time by the nekkid hiney(s) shot. I'm pretty sure I have a photo like that of each and every one of my kids. I promise I'm not a nekkid baby butt freak or anything like that- just at that moment I had to get a picture of my kids' hineys! I wonder where those photos are somewhere in the many boxes of photos I've kept. LOL

and why is my signature line showing like that? image has been moved or deleted? I'm using one of the graphics (the small one) off the first post in this thread!

Okay I fixed it- just a broken image link.

I really like one I saw on someone else's signature line- that morphed from the graphic we had for the PC cruise to the one we have for this TA cruise. But when I put that in my signature line it was too big and cut off half the bottom of it. So this one will have to do.

I've posted this before but I'm not sure if you've seen it... Captain- you do know we're not doing the B2B, right? We changed those plans months ago before this most recent cruise we took (May 30th)
Just FYI.. since we're still listed on the list of B2B'ers. I wish! But that cruise before the TA is just too expensive for us. (and DH can't take THAT much time off from work and still be able to afford the cruise LOL)

I know what you mean about the passage of time - we are hitting a milestone today - my DD Taryn has her last day in High School today - it doesn't seem real somehow - where did the time go!

thanks! Still more to lose though- especially after gaining a few lbs on the recent vacation. I gotta get myself back in gear- but atleast I've maintained since being home for 2wks and didn't continue to gain after the cruise! Gotta get back to more

I just booked at Disneys Grand Californian Villas this morning , so I will be there from the 11th thru the 14th ....I be keeping a weathered eye out for ya !!!!

howdy everyone,

just got back from a great weeks vacation up in the mountains here in Oregon. We rode our quads there with a few friends and relatives. Only 3 crashes which was pretty good average for that many people

No I didnt crash but DH did. He hit a hidden stump, lots of bruises and bloody nose, 3 loose teeth but ok other than being sore.

Weather was just so-so but not too cold or too hot with a few sprinkles.
Lots of chipmunks and lots of deer running around including coming into camp until my dog Minnie chased them away.

Now to clean everything and get back to normal.
Next weekend we are headed to the coast for my birthday, so i hope the weather is a bit better then.
Rainy today around here.
