Sept 17 2005 Magic - am i alone on the ship?

One more post then bed for me also.

I vote for Wednesday, great time to take pics and if you don't know where the cabin is just follow the FFC shirts!! :rotfl2:

Gosh Jenny, it shows I need to get some sleep to.

To all a good night! :grouphug:

"the drunk from Ohio respectfully places her vote with whatever is the most popular"

We did not order any shirts so don't count me in for a vote. Thinking about playing a game on the boat "Who in the world is Missyoh8?" No outright markings that we are Missy and Bo, except for the Bud and Marlboro (is that a joke or is it real), hmmmmmmm.

It is a rainy humid day here as well. We were going to try and hang out at my sister's pool and put some finishing touches on my summer tan, NO luck. I think I will just do some much needed home maintenance and get ready for the next few weeks. One of the boys still needs a tie and dress shirt.

Donna we are AllSeas as well............not that we even need those documents, I am sure others have just filled them out at the port. I just want them, they make my husband happy. The man skips out to the mailbox in his Minnie Mouse skirt everyday looking for them! No luck yet.

Have a good day everyone,

Missy

Wow I can't believe i'm first to post this rainy Saturday morning. The kids even let me sleep late and all. :goodvibes

Jenny - We do have two cabins. I would vote for Weds. too, but I didn't make/order FFC shirts, so does my vote count anyway? Loved the pix of Dsis with pie in the face! Looked like alot of fun.

I got a response from DCL about table seating. They stated 8 person tables and they'd put us with family before friends. :sad2: Sent them another email asking to be with friends instead of family. We'll see what happens there.

I'm guessing Jen never heard back from Sue. Prayers still going out to her and those areas that have been or will be affected by Katrina.

I can't help but thinking this time :hourglass in 3 weeks we'll be on our way to the pier! I can't wait :thewave:

 Hello everyone!!!

:umbrella: Sue, hope you are staying dry tonight!

Tracyl921 - It was me with the extra oriental trading stuff if you are still interested. It looks like you got most of the outfits already. I have extra bandanas, but I hear we get those on the ship anyway, pirate necklaces and black baseball caps with a skull and crossbones on it. I will also be bringing 40+ eye patches (They were cheep and don't take up much room). I may not pack extra other things unless someone wants me too.

Not much new to report here, but there is always time for dancing!
:cool1: :cool1:   :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:   :cool1: :cool1:
:charac2:

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Tracyl921, I would like to buy one of your necklaces and one patch, big spender!! I am Penny, Mom of Susan(KSUmom) & Lisa(PrincesLKMiller), so you'll find me in their "clan" of 12!! Can you let me know what I will owe you for them, so I can make sure to have the cash with me @ first meet for you? The rest of our "clan" are going all out with the pirate stuff pirate: , & I wasn't planning on doing much about it, but thought I could at least wear a necklace, eyepatch & bandana (which I understand also DCL supplies them). Thank you! Looking forward to meeting everyone! :grouphug:

To all you Floridians, my best thoughts & prayers are with you all there! I hope SweetSue is Ok!

Haven't received my docs yet but understand they are on the way! Really getting excited!! Have been shopping alot for "cool cruise stuff"! My 3 oldest grands (15, 13, & 11) will be in my room with me. We are planning some "cool" (as they say) decorations for our room, so I have been hitting all the dollar stores, party stores & the like hunting for "cheap cool stuff" to decorate. I figure we are all going to have fun decorating, unpacking, & organizing on Sat. between other more important things (like DisMeet, swimming, & relaxing by the pool!)!!

Well, gotta get busy cleaning :rotfl2: & beginning to get cruise "stuff" organized so I can begin packing! :cheer2: Think I actually have everything I need to pack, now just have to make sure I can fit it all in my luggage & it's doesn't go over weight! :confused3 I have never flown alone & almost forgot that I could only have 2 check-ins & 2 carry-ons. Usually when DH is with me, 75%+ of our luggage is mine!! But we could have 4 check-ins & 4 carry-ons total!! I tend to always over-pack ending up with alot of "stuff" I never use, but I use the excuse that "I just may need this"!!
:umbrella:
Hope you all are enjoying your week-end.

Just got off the phone with Sue.... :cool1: They survived the hurricane alright but lost power...which I guess is unusual with this level of storm. The power should be out until Tuesday and then they have to get DSL back up. There was about 2 hours of clean up, one neighbor lost a fence and another some tiles from the roof but all in all, not to bad. The worst is they are HOT without airconditioner. She got her generator working but it is just for essentials, and Christina (well) was getting a little cranky. Sue popped them in the car and decided they were driving until they found power. She called from the mall, were sweet Christina was sitting eating ice cream at 9:30 in the morning. Now that's what I am talking about  Anyway, except for the inevitable withdrawls from the boards, she is doing fine. Off to work on Monday, life continues.....She'll check in as soon as she can.

Thanks for checking on Sue, Jen! I'm glad to hear that power was the worst thing they lost. We had a bit of that when we went through Hurricane Opal. Our main loss was food from the freezer/fridge, and insurance covered that.

Getting more excited as it gets closer. I ordered a pair of new shoes for the cruise from shoebuy.com. With a 20% discount code and a 10% new customer discount, free shipping, and no sales tax, I spent less than $30! They should be hear in around a week or so. I still need to get the boys to the store to find them something nice to wear. Maybe if we have time today. I have to make some dinner rolls to take to a church potluck tomorrow, plus a dessert. And tonight is the family carnival at church, so we won't be home from 5-9 or so.

Karen

Thought I would post the Sue info first, as I know everyone is waiting for it.

imlazar, Glad you are joining us....Don't let us intimidate you, we would love to get to know you!

Jenny, Boy are you working. You are doing a lot (with the door signs and all). Do you want me to do this? I know you don't mind at all, just want to make sure you are not stressed. I am a busy body, so if it will easy your load let me know. (I have a feeling you and I are cut from the same cloth, though.) We need to revisit and firm everything before you print it all off. Sorry to stir up the hornets nest on the Dis shirts. I forgot we had said Sunday but it is sounding familiar now. I'm not sure about Deege's cabins. He PMed a couple of days ago but I haven't heard from him since. I think I would just print out one for each family that doesn't ever chat. Almost just to have extras. I doubt alot of them will come (although he may). And I doubt the people who never chat will want more than one. You are so thoughtful for thinking like that, though! It is strange we haven't heard from Nursegardner in a while. She was pretty good at posting regularly. What time is the safety drill? Are we going to have all the time we want before it if we meet at 3? We also have to go back to our rooms and get our jackets, etc. I think we should wear our shirts on Wed, too.
Tammy1 and KarenD, This hurricane is nowhere near you'all right? Sorry for the lousy weather. After being so hot in July, we went to real comfortable weather in August (unusual).

As far as Missy goes....We need to find her before she hurts herself or others....She is just NOT stable...... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Here is what she posted about her kids:
Alex- beautiful, kind, thoughtful. She is practically perfect in everyway. She enjoys cleaning her room and helping her brothers with homework. She is also the star Volleyball player on her middle school team, while maintaining an all A portfolio. Obviously adopted.

Bo- attractive, charming, very bright. He is the perfect son. Bo enjoys helping his father with yardwork and mowing the lawns of the elderly in the neighborhood. He is a star in the gifted and talented classroom at school and the only keeper in the soccer league who has not been scored upon. Yet another not from her gene pool!

Luke- handsome, strong, athletic. He is our pride and joy. Luke even at his young age has found the gift of giving. He recently gave is Nintendo DS to a homeless boy while we were spending a family night serving at the local soup kitchen. He has never let us down on the field either. While only entering the 2nd grade, his reading scores show him at the 8th grade level. His batting average was the highest in the league last summer. He always makes us proud. Must be a transplant from a kind, balanced family.
They are just the greatest kids, never giving us a bit of trouble. They have perfect school behavior and always are kind to others. They eat anything they are fed and never complain. We have never had to even squelch an argument amoungst them. They love eachother unconditionally, often putting there siblings needs above their own. We have truly been blessed.

Is she a pathalogical lier or obsessed with fictional writing. Is it fear of their mother's bar hoppin' ways forcing these sweet, innocent children to act perfect all the time? Jenny, Do you think you can help this family! They need it soooo bad! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
We have to find theses people and put a stop to this madness!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good morning.

Hey! Quit ignoring my post about the cabin count! This means YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, now that my tantrum is over, I really do hope you guys let me know if my cabin count is correct. I just want to make sure everyone has a door sign for each cabin (although, as Jen suggested, maybe just one sign per family for those DISers who rarely or never post). I don't want to exclude anyone as I know from other meet threads that some DISers are just lurkers (like Wendy was last year) and don't feel comfortable or want to post.

So, as I said, please do verify for me that I've got you down for the correct number of cabins. This was on post 2419 on page 162. I'd really appreciate it! Tracy is currently the star FFCer since she verified already. Gooooood Tracy. :)

Jen, I appreciate you being willing to take the pressure of the reminder signs off my hands, but it's not a problem. I'm not in class right now and only doing my internship 2 days a week. I just want to get these down by Sept 12 since I have a weeklong 8:30-3:30 class that week. I hope I'm not coming off as bossy because I don't mean to at all.

I have pretty much nothing planned for the day. However, I am going through a bit of withdrawal. You see, I'm DISoriented without knowing how many days left until we cruise.... oh, sweet time chime Emily, wherever have you gone?

Not bossy at all! I am confused....is the count by our name for door signs or reminders....anyway...I'll take one of each! You do great and not bossy at all. We are just glad you are doing it!

The cabin count listed in post 2419 is for the DIS reminder pages for each of you to hang in the stateroom. I am keeping a separate list of everyone who wnated a door sign. Sorry for the confusion, and good girl Jen for submitting to my non-bossy but certainly pushy request! :)

Jenny, your count for us is correct: just one reminder sign.

I may end up making our own door sign(s); depends on how much free time I can find in the next couple of weeks! I'd love to have some that are slightly original, but all the good clip art seems to be used a lot!!

Karen

Thanks Karen. I was pretty sure you guys wanted to make your own signs, and I certainly don't take offense! I am glad we've got others wanting to do them! It'll be fun.

And Jen, I keep forgetting to tell you - the website is looking awesome and thanks for checking on Sue. All you other Floridians doing okay?

Ok, Ok, It sounds like I'm in trouble! (haha) I'm sorry I haven't posted in quite a while. I have been busy working 2 jobs - trying to save as much as possible for this trip. I was also staying on the internet earning points and cash for the trip too!!

Jennat----thanks for the msg! I really didn't know I was missed! :confused3 Almost brought a tear to my eye - :lovestruc -
I really feel like I'm lost. Please catch me up on what's happening now and about the DIS meet on the ship!! :grouphug: all around!!

Is everyone dressing for pirate night? I thought about ordering eye patches. Oriental Trading has a pack with about 48 in it - we could share if anyone is interested.

I'll try to catch up on my reading today.

donaldsgal: I'm lost on the reminder signs - fill me in.

Thanks for the thoughts - I'll try to keep up reading now and for the next 3 weeks!!!

Karen

BIRTHDAYS and ANNIVERSARIES on board:

If you've got 'em, let me know the dates and numbers (more for the anniversary than the birthday - some people don't like to reveal their age! :confused3 ).

Thanks!

And posting of course! Right Karen 3!
Don't bother rereading everything...It is crazy. See Jenny's post 1250 on page 84 (is that right? Check my or her signiture)
Check out the web page to see who you are talking with...and send me info....even minimal (like names!) If you send me your e-mail, I will send you a list of everyone and their pic on it. Kindof a take along reference.
That should catch you up on everything. Really glad to have you back  We are going to have an awesome time!

Nursegardener returns!

I feel like one of our long-lost DIS family members came home! Yay!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :wave2: :cloud9: :grouphug:

Anyways, brief update, Karen:

Check out post 1250 on page 84 of the thread for all the vital info on door signs, our group's name, meets on board, etc.

The post on page 162 regarding verifying cabin count is for DIS meet reminder signs I'm making - one per stateroom. Please let me know if I've got you right for how many cabins you have so you get enough reminder signs for your people.

SOOOOOOOOO glad to have you back! Any birthdays or anniversaries in your group while on board?

Jenny (aka donaldsgal)

Thanks for the warm welcome back!! I have missed having time to read and post!!

donaldsgal: There's only one cabin for me and hubby - #7127.

Where are we wearing the FFC T-shirts?? When we board or for a picture or what??

I can hardly believe we leave in 3 weeks!! I just about fainted when I opened the envelope with our documents in it last Thursday! I had no idea that's what was there! I thought it was a paperback book I ordered - :rotfl:
I just pray to the good Lord that we have NO hurricanes!!
Our fall-back plan is Pigeon Forge, TN and Dollywood!

Jenny I just wrote everything in my handy dandy notebook of important information so I really don't need one at all. Thanks for doing that though, I am easily confused so I have to keep everything in one place. I honestly don't know if we will make any "formal events" that are planned so I am not sure how you would get it to me. I jotted it all down though.

Nursegardner (Karen) welcome back to the FFC, good to hear from you.

Donna, I am going to check the picture on your post right now. Bo (the perfect son) is quite particular about his wardrobe so I am not sure if he will go for it. I will let you know. thanks

Jen, if I like to live in a dream world here on the internet then my therapist says that is fine! Besides it's all true. :rotfl2:

Off to call Allseas, (edited to say that Allseas "sent out" our docs on Thursday :earboy2: )

Missy
