Sept 17 2005 Magic - am i alone on the ship?

Hi all.
Nada going on here. Work, work, work. Blah, Blah, Blah.......Only 21 more days of work until :boat:

We will be celebrating our 11th year of holy matrimony on Saturday.
Any gift ideas will be accepted. Me being the procrastinating male that I am. I have nothing yet, no card, nothing.

Brady starts pre-school Friday, he is pumped up. Thank god. Abby is doing well with school so far. Loves her teacher. Angela sent a note with her yesterday about being gone for a week. No big deal, the :teacher: said she would get assignments together and all would be ok.

Jenny thoughts and prayers out to your family.

Jen I'm trying to come up with a more up to date picture. If I find one I'll try to send it along. Again, GREAT website.

Wendy-Happy Thursday!!!!

Steve- thanks for the tips. DW bought some transfer sheets and shirts. I'll refer back to your post to make sure I don't screw it up.

I'm out of here. Off to bed. Talk to ya'll later.

BRAD

Well, yes, it's finally Thursday.

Brad, when all else fails -- earrings. Or what abt a spa gift certificate for a pedicure &/or manicure for before vacation? I love those. Does she need anything new for the vacation? For example, sunglasses or a gift certificate for new ones or a visit together to pick out new ones? Or a jazzy new beach bag? Or a new CD or DVD she's been wanting? Or a you'll babysit the kids certificate to give her a night out?

Oh, and, Happy Thursday everyone!

Thanks Wendy. I just got her earrings for her birthday. Her aunt is a massage therapist. I may just give a certificate for a manicure & pedicure at the spa, then a massage from her aunt. I'm a sooooo easily persuaded.

Does anyone know how the port drop off and pick up procedures work, if someone that is not cruising drops us off ? More than likely it will be my aunt that takes us over and picks us up.

See ya',

BRAD

Something else, the repo cruise begins this Saturday. When the Magic gets home......it will be just 2 weeks until our turn. YEEEEEEE HAAAAAWWWWW!!!!
 :bounce: :jumping1: :cheer2: :maleficen :thewave: :rockband:

Just trying to catch up on the post's...I have not been on since last Friday...I think everyong is getting chattier as the days pass! I am still trying to figure out who is who!

In regards to the Colorado weather, I totally agree with Jen...we live there for a few years...the snow does melt the same day! And the dry climate is WAY better than the crappy humidity in other regions! If my husband was ever to re-locate...he says CO would be the only place. He has never lived there, but he has done alot of rock climbing there and says he would love to live there...I would move back there in a heartbeat!

Sounds like everyone of busy getting things ready! I am finally in full-gear myself! I actually got DH and DS(15) to Filene's to get attire for formal night. I am actually getting DS to wear a tie! This will be the first time he has ever worn one! He kept telling me that he would not wear one...but what wonders a girlfriend can do! DS girlfriend (Annie) went with us and she mentioned that he would look 'HOT' in a tie...and the next thing I knew he was handing me a tie asking me to help him find a shirt to match it! I think I will keep Annie around to help me win my battles with DS!

I bouth two new bathing suits yesterday, but have to take one back...it has a hole in the top:( I am hoping to find another!

Myself, DH, DS(1) & DS(3) are going to see the Wiggles this afternoon! Then tomorrow we are going to dinner with friends and to see Cirque Du Soleui. Next Friday we are going to The Phantom of the Opera...I have seen it once about 12 years again and can't wiat to see it again!

I bailed out of work early and went to the pool...hope none of you know my boss! I went from Noon til 3, then picked up the kids and went back until 7ish! I am bummed that there will not be too many pool days left this summer:(

WOW...I am chatty today!

Karen...where are u from? There is a Baker's Square close to my in-laws house...I have never been...not sure about the in-laws.

NoWorriesMate...I can tell you how to make a suitcase disappear...when we were going to hawaii last year, DH suitcase almost disappeared! We were ehading to our gate in Maui and I happened to look out the window and saw DH suitcase laying out on the runway! It had fallen off the luggage cart! DH had to go back to the security and tell them...they got it on the plane! In the meantime...i was cracking up so hard that everyone thought I was crazy! DH did not think it was so funny!

Princess, we live near Napa, CA right now. I'd never seen a Baker's Square restaurant till we moved out here (we've lived in MO, OH, FL, MD, and NE before this).

Pirate night is the 20th -- they start the theme with dinner and then there is a deck party later. Dinner menus are on a treasure map and you get bandanas to wear like pirates. Some folks go all out and the whole family dresses like pirates other just their kids and some just the bandanas. We'll probably be toward the bandana side of things, but I read that glow necklaces are fun for the deck party. If I can find them I will get them. Spencers, maybe? pirate:

Hidden Mickey Tiki outfits are these whole family outfits that were on sale on Disney Direct in July for pretty darn cheap so several of us bought them for the fam damily. They ARE pretty cute -- and my DD is psyched to wear matching outfits. My DH, not so much... :flower1:

PrincessLK, where do you all live? That is wonderful to be able to take in all those shows! We have drive somewhere for everything. Bear in the Big Blue House Live came to our town abt 2 years ago and I was so excited I bought front row seats. DD has never been much of a Wiggles fan (thankfully), but she loves Barney.

I saw Cirque de Soleil's "O" in May in Vegas. It was great, but our seats were not close enough. Should have gone to Stevie Nicks instead... :rockband:

If anyone has a clue on glow necklaces and where I might find them, please let me know. thanks.

W. :flower1:

Thanks.A raw bar is oysters and the like. The wife and I are going on our second honeymoon and would love to slurp a dozen each. Suppose to be an aphrodisiac I think. If thats the case well take 2 dozen a day.

Frank and Lola

Frank I remember seeing pictures of a raw bar somewhere on this board once so I think your in luck. Did you say you are on a second honeymoon or something, you will need those then.

Yes Wendy, we are jazzed about the 30/29 day counter. My husband said some of the cruisers on the 7 day before ours got docs yesterday! That always says pending cruise when that little box shows up at the door! Now that is jazzy.

Brad, how bout the Tiffany bracelet with the heart on it? You know anything that says Tiffany's on the box makes you golden and that is about $150 which on Tiffany standards is "cheap". My husband got me the cross bracelet from there for my birthday last year after many HINTS (like a print out of the picture), and I was still thrilled.

Emily are you bringing your husband with you or leaving him in Alabama? I know first hand "absence makes the heart grow fonder"? LOL

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Missy

TeaforWendy...we live in Columbus, Ohio. We are seeing Cirque de Soleil's Verekai this weekend. We saw Dralion last year. We also saw Nouba while we were at Disney World in March. We are going to Vegas in November for my Birthday to see Zumanity...I can't wait for that one! I want to see 'O' while we are there...but not sure about spending the $$ to see both. Se have taken DS (1 & 3) to quite a few shows...Seasme Street Live, Disney of Ice...can't remember what else. We have front row seats for the Wiggles today. My husband is a huge music fan...so we go see quite a few concerts as well. Actually DH has been taking DS (15) to see some of the bands that I refuse to go see...they are into the music that hurts my head!

I did figure out what the Mickey tiki outfits were. They are cute! I think I will go Pirate shopping this weekend...DS(3) will just love to dress up like a pirate!

don't you just hate it when you are halfway through typing a post and then you hit a wrong button and lose it all!

anyway to start again....

Wendy the Wiggles are great - more so because they are Australian!

Jen i got the e-mail thanks and will attempt the shirts soon...

Frank we are also on the starboard side of deck seven. we are 7560 are you close?

Princess i love the Cirque de Soleil shows i've seen three and hope to see more one day.

nothing new here, although it did get to 47.5 degrees yesterday...
i suggested to DH that we solve the packing crisis by bringing nothing but a credit card and doing a lot of shopping but he didn't seem enthusiastic :confused3

bye

Wendy- Oriental Trading Co. for the glow necklaces. They have a website orientaltrading-com.

Missy-We don't have a Tiffany store arond here. Do they have a website?

BRAD :teeth:

Brad, Good luck on getting your wife a present, man can that be tough sometimes especially when we wait until the last minute. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Wendy, Can't believe that you suggested Brad "BABYSIT" his kids on a Saturday night and let his wife go out :rotfl: :rotfl: They are his kids too, parents do not babysit! Of course that is just my opinion. :rotfl2: :rotfl: He should instead stay at home with the kids while he gets a limo for his wife and a few friends to go out for dinner.

PrincessLKMiller, Almost the whole page was devoted to you, your are the ticker champion of this group I would have to say :cheer2: :cheer2:

pirate: IIIIIIIII maaaaaatieeees, the time is almost near pirate:

Did the iron-ons last night and they look pretty good. I am starting to feel the excitement in the air.

Everyone have a great day

BRAD :teeth:

The site is tiffany.com, "may I suggest the Heart Tag charm bracelet" (in silver). Looks like the fastest shipping is 4 days though. Good luck. I am telling you, you will be a star!

Good Luck,
Missy

Hi everyone!!!

29 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!! See you people don't need tickers when you've got me to tell you. :sunny:

Hi Missy, yes Jason is going with us. I couldn't survive without him. If he wasn't going, I wouldn't be going either.

Added some new stuff to my signature. Took one ticker away though to make room for the others. :flower:

Later everyone,
Emily

Emily, I meant when you secure your new position as "Jen's husband's secretary" LOL I was just kidding.

Missy

Missy, no, no, no. He actually sounded like he would consider it, as long as the pay was good. When I told him last night, it was only a joke, I was just kidding. I don't know if I could move that far away from home though. I think I'd get homesick, but if the pay was good enough...
