Not much is new here. Got to church today and realized - we had no pianist! So, I got to lead the congregation a capella for worship. That's always tough because I just have to pick a note and start singing and then everyone joins in. Whew! Glad we don't have to do that too often! :)

Jenny, you and I are just oppposite... I grew up singing a cappella every Sunday. Nothing like 4-part harmony! We've visited a few churches here with praise bands and I've missed being able to hear others sing and hear all the parts.

I haven't talked to my husband yet about whether he wants to decorate our door or not. If we do, I will probably ask you to email me the artwork and we'll print it here.

Karen

Hey everyone!

1 works for me on the cabin tour.

Jenny, I work for a Lutheran church in Huntsville. Jason is my DH. He's 21 and is a photographer. Him & his dad are starting a photography business, we're in the early stages, but it seems to be flowing together really good.

Jen, our stateroom number is 8078. I may have given the wrong number earlier. And, you can add Jason and his occupation to the spreadsheet if you want. I need to check with my parents (my dad mostly) to see if it is okay to add them too.

Hope everyone has a great day,
Later,
Emily

Holy Cow! You guys have been busy. Let's see.

Manly man...good to hear from you. Glad you are getting settled into your job. The testosterone is good to have back. Steve....we need you too. I'll try to get Mike to jump in but won't hold my breath (which irrates me but he joins in well on the cruise!)

Jenny, Got the signs, they look great! I will send off a check.
Still waiting on the shirt. will let you all know. Remember, if anyone wants to try it on your own, I can email it to you. Mine looked homemade. I will compare it to the "professional" one when I get it.

Sue OMG!!! What a nightmare weekend and schedule!!!! I hope all is okay with your grandmother. What a stressful time! :umbrella: Try and stay dry but mostly  try and stay sane!!

Tammy (A), where do you live in Florida? Hope you faired okay through this storm. Makes me wonder how we can possibly have TWO good weeks in Orlando/cruise. I guess we will just ride the storm out if we have to. Atleast it's not my house! Scary for you guys, hopefully you will be spared this year! :earseek:

I updated the list Emily. Anyone who hasn't and wants to, send me the information and in a week or so, I will e-mail out an updated copy to everyone I have e-mail addresses for. I have added a lot of information.

Sue (again), you were talking about moving the SSBPS did you give it anymore thought? Are we keeping it Wed? Will that give you enough time with Palo? When will you get ready? What about Tuesday and earlier? How many questions can I ask?

Wendy, You know I am up for an adults only meet! Formally or informally, I'm there! Good luck with this week. Just keep saying...this too shall pass (the stressful time, I mean). Birthday parties are stressful. My kids are older and I tell them, I will give you $100. dollars if you forgo the party and just do something with one friend. My son tried to take me up on it this year but the thing he wanted to do was go to Estes with his best friend for the weekend. Since it cost more than the party, he didn't get the hundred but it was fun and unstressful. Of course natalie took a friend too!
Take care everyone.

How did cooking for the family picnic go? Or is that this weekend? Did everyone like the jello? I had a jello idea for the younger crowd....jelly shots :p
Jenny, with regards to the singing...I'm green with envy :bounce:

Hello-

Brad- We are going to Holiday World next Monday and Tuesday (18th and 19th) and we are camping at Lake Rudolph. We were suppose to go today and tomorrow but our plans got changed and I guess that turned out to be a good thing. This will be the first time tent camping as we usually stay in the cabins or RV's. I think it is going to be fun.

Jenny- Since I don't know what to do with the sign if you e-mailed it to me I guess I will just get it on the ship. I am not very crafty or creative so if it requires that I would probably screw it up.

Well, we are getting plenty of rain around here and the wind makes for exciting driving. The wind and rain pick up some and then settle down so it is not too bad. At least I don't have to water my flowers. My dogs are sure loving the cooler weather.

That's all for now.

Had to share this. Tonight, on my way to the anger management group I help with, I glanced at a sign on the side of the road and immediately thought of the cruise, specifically one of the restaurants. I caught myself doing this and backtracked a sec... "What made me think of DCL?" I realized I had read the sign as "Palo covers" instead of "Patio Covers." Whew. Maybe I'm over-DISneyfied! I knew you guys would appreciate this one.

Trisha, I'll just bring your sign with me to the cruise.

TTFN!

Jenny, that is hilarious. Don't worry, we all have the same thing. Cruise Obsession Disorder. It is highly contagious, and only curable by going on a Disney Cruise or you may have a relapse and catch a worsened version of COD. Wait a minute what am I saying there is no cure for this. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Your just toooooo funny!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I can't wait to eat at Palo's either..let me look for a sign :3dglasses

Thanks for the laugh

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with COD!

Must go wrap presents, must go wrap presents, rather stay on boards, rather stay on boards...

Jenny, You got it badddddd! That is hilarious.
Notice the ungodly time it is. That's right 4:45 in the am. Getting ready to go exercise. :cool1:  Be proud of me. I usually get up at 8 and I go to be at 12. This is the middle of the night for me! :earseek: Must lose weight, must lose weight. Perhaps I can have my lips sewn shut...that might do the trick!
Talk to you later!

Seems like we've been quiet for the past few days. My DD's last day as a 3yo. Boo Hoo Hoo. Did get all her pkgs wrapped, but still haven't rec'd the stuff I ordered from Disney Direct. Oh well, they are usually overwhelmed by the time they get to present #3 or so anyway.

OK, I am soooooo not a cook, baker, etc., but I am thinking it would be fun to make, with DD, her cupcakes for her b-day party. We could do it tomorrow night together for a b-day treat since DH will probably be working. I think she'd really like that rather than buying them. Plus, we could make PINK ones. The boys will have to deal.

So what seatings did you guys ask for, early or late? I got late because last year we kept being late for dinner, I lost track of time. I also requested plaplap so I hope I get it. I think it would be neat to be in PC on pirate night and luminaires on formal night. This is my mom's first time on a vaction in about 8 years and then it was a weekend at the shore. So, do you have any tips for me to make it a wonderful trip? Thank you in advance!

Shmora (Lorra)

OMG..Saturday is coming closer and closer :earseek: I've got all the trays ordered for the 50 Aniversary party which now everyone tells me is for even more people :earseek: Check!

Doing all the last min. cooking on Friday night!! Check..Check!

Talked to the people who are singing last night. Check, Check, Check!

Now have to get the house ready some out of towners were unable to get hotel reservations soooooo guess where they're staying?? :teeth:

Not really a problem, just be a little crowded...all family though so.. :grouphug:

Do need this cruise in Sept. Heck I need one in August :Pinkbounc
Wonder if I could talk DH into that??? No..don't forget we're talking about pirate: mister money pincher :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: oh well I needed that!!

No I have not gone crazy  at least not yet!!!! Maybe by Friday!?

Thanks for letting me vent :wave2:

We're scheduled for the late seating, can you explain what paplap is?

You can request seatings. I requested plaplap and it means the first night we would be in Parrot's Cay, the second night we would be in luminaires, the third night in Animators Palette, and then it starts all over. The second night is formal night on the ship whereever you are but they say luminaries is a more formal diningroom. The fourth night on the ship is pirate's night and we would be in the tropical dining room called parrot's cay. It is just what your rotation is going to be for the cruise.

Thanks!! This helps, do you know if they have fireworks on board??

Wendy, a fun idea for cupcakes. You can make them in ice-cream cones....just bake them like normal, maybe a little shorter on the time. Only fill them 2/3 full. Hope the party is great. I know you are sad she is growing up but age 6 is GREAT! I love being around my daughter (for those of you with 6 year old boys, disregard...it is a whole different vehicle!)

Lorra, we have late seating (as does a lot of us on this board actually). I would like to switch to early. I wouldn't care if I didn't have my kiddos with me. How do you request a rotation? I think your mom will have a great time just being there. That is exciting for her.

Tammy, there are fireworks on pirate night. Good luck this weekend. Don't forget the jello shots....maybe just for you! I guess Sue is traveling. I hope her DGM is okay. Where is Michelle?

We have early seating. I don't know for sure on the rotation, but I predict LAPLAPL. That is what we have had on the last cruise, so that is what I'm anticipating, doesn't really matter to be though.

I AM SO EXCITED!!! I CAN HARDLY WAIT!

Jen, if you want you can add my parents to the spreadsheet, they'll be with us in the same room. My dad is Steve and my mom is Brenda.

Hope everyone has a good time with their parties this week.

Did everyone hear I am a Tropical Storm right now? I think I'm supposed to be a hurricane in a day or so. I promise to try to restrain myself from doing too much damage, though. :rotfl2: :sunny:

Later everyone,
Emily

Jen, I will remember the jello shots..wonder if liquor can be subsituted for water??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Emily, yes I have heard of you...please fizzle out instead of increasing and stay away from Florida :wizard:

The liquor is the "shot" part of "jello Shot"...you go girl!

Emily, Are you stirring up trouble again! Where are you headed this time? Be gentle.
