Hi everyone!!!!

I know it has been a long time that I have not posted..But one final one is now due..

Jen/Jenny= I never get it right, my sympathies are with you, it is never easy, but closure is the best thing..I am thinking of you today..

Jen/Jenny=The website is amazing, and your hard work is evident..Enjoy yourselves BIGTIME!! And I will be following you in my heart...

Trish and Steve= It is so hard losing an animal, any way, and although we do know we are doing the right thing, somehow it does not make it easier..Take care, and enjoy yourselves, you deserve it..

To everyone else, some I know from talking here, and some I don't, HAVE FUn, and rebook onboard for the incentives...But, do your homework...My advice, sorry can not resist..

It has been fun reading your posts, and laughing when it was most desperately needed..You are a great bunch, have fun, enjoy the mouse, and a big hug to each and everyone of you.. :grouphug:

P.S. Can not resist...My son's football team is 6-0... :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: My ds as well as his team is overjoyed, and it is a fun ride this season...Just threw that in, sorry hard to resist..

Sherrie!!! Thanks for your post!! Congrats on your DS and his awesome football team!!! :cheer2: Tell him to keep up the good work! We're all cheering for him!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :grouphug:

he he he..."Frank" is quite the funny guy! :rotfl:

Thanks, Donna for confirming what I thought I read. That is a bummer. Now I'm not sure what to do at St. Thomas. We didn't have any official excursions booked for that day. I guess we'll play it by ear that day.

Pam- we're flying out on Friday afternoon. (But I'm sure I'll check in here on Friday morning. I can't stay away! )

I'm pretty busy today. I have so much to remember here at work before I leave...I'll post again tonight after I get my Tivo all set up with my new season passes!! :teeth:

Mommasita,

Are you cruising anytime in the near future? I think we may rebook onboard for next September... maybe we'll see ya then??

Susan

After I asked about who was going on the Lord Sheffield, 2nd ship, I realized Duh! I can check the Final List.

Susan (ksumom)- That will be fun on the Lord Sheffield! We are really looking forward to it. We have a DS(5), I'm sure the boys will all enjoy it.

Christal, I thought we might be on the same flight if you were leaving Saturday since we are flying out of St. Louie, too.

Mamasita, we are hoping to book again for the same time next year. So, hopefully we will meet you sometime.

Wendy, we are looking forward to meeting our tablemates!

Are we going to talk about any other group meets on the days we are at sea at our first Meet Saturday at 3 p.m.?? :rotfl: I thought maybe we could all go to a show or something. It would be fun if someone from our group would be picked to play the Who Wants to Be a Mouseketeer show (it's like Who Wants to Be A Millionaire).

Pa-ammmmm! Tsk, tsk, tsk. Did you not read the infamous post 1250 on page 84? :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Seriously, here's a refresher of what we decided:

MEETS ON BOARD:
Sat 3 PM Mickey pool, deck 9 - wear green yarn on your wrist so we can ID each other. Sweetsue's daughter will apparently come racing toward you with her walker to welcome you officially to the Flip Floppin' Castaways cruise.
BACK-UP PLAN: In the event of inclimate weather, this meet will be held in the Promenade Lounge on Deck 3 at the same time.
Sun 1 PM atrium lobby deck 3 for cabin tour. We're going to walk around and look at each other's cabins to see the different styles and plan what stateroom category we want next time.
Wed 4/4:30-6 stateroom 8080 - sweetsue (Sue)'s stateroom for her birthday party in one of the suites!

FYI - these will be listed on the DIS reminder signs I'm handing out at the first meet on Saturday. :cheer2:

I really am just kidding!

For those of you still confused about Frank and Lola, go back to pages 206-208 and search out the explanations! :)

Sherrie, good to hear from you as always! Thanks for the warm wishes about my GGMa. And congrats on your son's team!

Well, back to class! :)

Mommasita -- thanks so much for the warm wishes. We will miss you, but for sure raise our elbows once or twice in your honor...

And congrats on the superstar QB. Thanks for sharing your/his great season!

Jenny, weren't we wearing the green yarn as we board so we can recognize each other in the terminal, too?

I, for one, can't wait to meet Frank and Lola.

So I get it about the Frank and Lola thing but, honestly, I was beginning to think it was an inside joke and I was apparently on the outside.

Trisha...

I would never leave you on the outside! Heck, if it weren't for Lola.........well nevermind!

looking forward to meeting you all,

Frank

SORR-EEE! :sunny: I know all about the original Cruise Meets, what I should have said IN ADDITION to the Cruise Meets that are already scheduled!! BTW, the infamous Post 1250 on Page 84 stating all the FFC information was in my response to my post. ha :rotfl2:

Thanks,

They are just like the FFC shirts, but smaller! Check out the link on Jen's signature for the T-shirts and you'll see them.

Sue, I'm sorry to see you leaving the "Not-till-Saturday" countdown group. Guess Donna (ragdoll) and I will be alone! We'll just be  while you guys go down, and you can run to us with open arms and cheers of excitement when we arrive.... ;)

Okay, off to read for class tomorrow.

I STILL won't be leaving until Saturday for vacation. I have tickets to Sesame Street Live with Christina for Friday at 7pm - so.... early morning it is! I just get an extra day of vacation to finish up the last minute stuff. Boss went for it!!!!! AND, even better, he's out of town for the rest of the week!!!!!!     Soooo - I really count myself in on the "Not-till-Saturday" group. I just can't start counting vacation until I've actually left!

Penny - I'll have 2 postcards and 2 magnets for you. The rest of you will just have to scramble for the remaining ones. The postcards are especially cute - and the magnets are great on the doors!

Hey everyone...
I'm so ready for vacation!!! :cool1:

Did I read here or on the main board something about a change in ports at St. Thomas? I know I read it, and it said that if you want to do anything (shopping, etc.) that you have to get a cab now? I just looked for the post, and I couldn't find it. :confused3

Anyway, everyone have a good day!

-Christal

YES! We are now docking at the Crown something-or-other dock. It's in Sub Base which is just west of Frenchtown which is just west of Charlotte Amalie. This means you need a cab to see ANYTHING.

I heard on the main board that they don't have this game show anymore. That instead, it's a comedy act.

Mommasita Sherri - congrat's to your son. You must be very, very proud. We'll miss you onboard!

Whew! Finally caught up. I can sense the excitement in every one's posts. That and the last minute rush to complete all those silly things we forgot! I'm SOOO glad I'm taking Friday off to pack. Still - I'll be posting about how I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off!

Weather looks great here for the cruise - and I hope that nasty pesky Katrina disappears and doesn't interfere with departure from NC!

Sweet Sue

Class is over. Pam, your response was sassy - good job! :) And you're right - you should have clarified so I didn't have to give you the info - AGAIN! :)

Sue, I know you aren't leaving till Saturday, but I guess I thought you were jumping ship on the not till Saturday group since you got to be off work early. But I'm glad you're with us till the bitter end! :)

Well, I'm going to relax for a few hours until my 3 hour night class tonight! Oprah, Dr. Phil, Ellen, and Judge Judy (hey, I sound like a man - multitasking tv watching), here I come! :)

My three kids 2years (turning 3 on 23rd), 4 years and 7 years, my sis, my mom and dad and I all cruising. It is our first Disney cruise and we are excited! See you all there! pirate:

Welcome! What are your names?

Glad you found us!

I sent you a PM. :)

See you soon, new friend! :)

Hi adismom!!! Glad you and your family are going to join us. The more the merrier.

Hi Sherrie!!! We'll miss you!!! Wish you were coming too. Congrats to your DS's football team. That is awesome. :cheer2: :cheer2: :bounce: :bounce:

Later,
Emily

Welcome adismom. We are going to have fun, fun, fun.

No inside jokes, Trisha. We're one family -- I was just intrigued by the oyster sucking, smokin', old navy man and his wife named Lola, so I was paying particular attn to his posts. So...it was fun that Jen busted Missy. :flower1:

Would that I were a better practical joker. So...I'm also jealous of Missy's skills. :earboy2:

Nervous, nervous, nervous....to finish packing, finish packing, finish packing.

I just called Disney to clarify baggage situation. We are not using disney transportation since there are 5 of us and a van was cheaper but when we got our cruise docs they did have the luggage tags on them so I thought I should call and ask. It turns out they will take our luggage from MCO to the ship even though they are not taking us! I am so excited about that! DD(1) is luggage enough on any day!!! Anyway, I thought if anyone else was flying in to MCO and not on Disney Transportation they would find that information helpful!

Still not really packed but mentally ready!!!!!

Bummer about St. Thomas. I was really looking forward to walking off the ship and touring. Did the old dock suffer damage or something? Is there still a posibility that we may end up docking there or is it no longer in use? Oh well, I was planning on taking a taxi to that Coral World anyway. Wonder if we are closer to that now.

OK, it is getting close and I am getting really excited!!!!

Renee,

The new dock is something that will be gradually used for more (if not all) cruise liners docking at ST. It does not seem to have suffered damage.

I do not think we will dock at the old dock; on the ST website, all cruise liners docking in September are listed on an itinerary. We are listed for Crown Bay on 9-21. :confused3 Not sure why Disney is the only one using it every week and not all ships shifting between it, but I think we'll stick to the schedule.

Congrats on the free luggage transport! :)

I figured it out

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha in her FLIP FLOPS
And while she tried to be a star, Franky always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....they fell in love

His name was Rico, he wore a diamond
He was escorted to his chair, he saw Lola dancin' there (in her FLIP FLOPS)
And when she finished, he called her over
But Rico went a bit too far, Franky sailed across the bar
And then the punches flew and chairs were smashed in two
There was blood and a single gun shot
But just who shot who?

Her name is Lola, she was a showgirl
But that was 30 years ago, when they used to have a show
Now it's a disco, but not for Lola
Still in the dress she used to wear, faded feathers in her hair
She sits there so refined, and drinks herself half-blind
She lost her youth and she lost her Tony
Now she's lost her mind!
