Sept 16 2012 - WONDERing who's on the Calif Coastal with me?!

Gidday all
Just in throes of packing my FE stuff. Mike asked why one bag was so heavy... I was like ooh err, ummm, yeah :-) I thought I had said about the FEs. Well now he knows lol.

I am completely going with the flow in the way of getting on and off boat. We have two full days after the cruise at LAX where we'll head into Santa Monica and maybe even long beach.. there are parts of our holiday that we are playing by ear. Very hard for me - the over planner! Lol

Seven sleps till we leave... eeeek!

Yea! 16 sleeps for us. Be ready to be warm ;)

If I remember correctly, we were off by 8:00 for the 2-day cruise we did a couple years ago. I am hoping that is the same for this cruise as we may hit Disneyland on the way home.

I think that first dining is 6:00am. Not sure, though.

What does Disney do to wake people up that early? Do they sound the horn as a wake up call? Lol. I'm a morning person so I will most likely be up anyways.

Nothing is done to wake people up but you can always set your alarm clock or submit a wakeup call. They are annoucements over the PA but those are primarily broadcasted in the public areas and hallways.

Did you all see the Facebook message from John Lasseter regarding the Disney Pixar cruises? John shared a lot of good information about these upcoming crises and even mentioned he would be on board for one of them. I would suspect he might be on board for all three but that's just speculation on my part. I do hope to meet him again because he is generally a really nice down to earth guy.

When I saw the new Facebook video I got goose bumps! SO excited for the special Pixar art exhibit.

I lead a university senior honors business experience focused on leadership and corporate culture which culminates in Disney Institute workshops in Florida. What a dream to bring these two worlds together. ANYWAY... I always use John Lasseter as an example of both remaining focused on your dreams and overcoming setbacks.

IF he is on our sailing (which is a probably a big bet to ensure Pixar is appropriately represented?!), I may very well pass out!!!!

I just saw it a little while ago! So thrilled to be sailing on the first Pixar cruise!

How do I get to that facebook page? I don't use facebook, but my mom has an account. I searched for Disney Pixar Cruise but didn't come up with anything.

My son would be SOOOO excited to meet John Lasseter!!

Okay - I just searched this thread and found a link to the facebook page. I did a requst to join from my mom's account - Phyllis Hudson - if there is someone on here who can accept the request. I'm dying to see the video!!

THANK YOU!!!!

Wow, I really hope he speaks on our cruise. I gotta start saving up for that special Pixar merchandise you can only buy on the cruise.

I just checked the DCL website and there are still a lot of rooms left on our cruise.

:thumbsup2
I don't know that he'll actually be sailing on the cruises(s) or just getting on in SF for his presentaion?
Anyone else doing the Lasseter Winery tour?
I'm just amazed these cruises aren't sold out. They sound the like the best ones.

I love the collaboration between Disney and Pixar and I am so excited to see what they put together for our cruise. I believe that one possible reason why our cruise is not selling out is because of timing with kids returning to school.

Hi everyone, this will be our first cruise. My DH and my DS (12) are looking forward to meeting up with fellow Disney fans and just having a great time. Im considering signing up for the FE but can't figure out where to do that. Any help would be appreciated.
See you all on the ship!
Ann

Agree- but how can we tell what out cruise capacity is so far? So curious...

I know. I keep checking. I can't believe how many concierge cabins are still available. Hoping for an upgrade. What an awsome anniversary present that would be. And it would be on the Disney Wonder where we honeymooned five years ago!!!

What you do is pretend to book a cruise. You can check various categories. There seem to be quite a few cabins left in most categories. And note, they only show you eight available cabins at a time from those that are available. So, you may see that there are eight cabins available, but in actuality, there may be more.
