DBFF- 30 my best friend and confidant. Not as obsessed as I am but getting there
BFF'sDH-30 Had not been to WDW since he was a wee kid...
DN- 3 (i will call her neice as she calls me Auntie) Princess nut
DN - turned 1 on trip...nephew

Friday September 15.
We were flying out of Manchester NH, and our flight was due to take off at 11:15 am. Upon arrival at the airport we heard it was delayed 15 min due to issues in Philly. So we parked ourselves in the gate, and hung out waiting for the plane to arrive. at 11:15..we were told the plane was furthere delayed..our new take off time 11:50. Then it was 12:05, then 12:30.....
Luckily the kids were amused by each other as well as lunch from McDonalds and a nice gentleman who made balloon animals for the children. The plane finally arrived at 1:10. and they got us on board and in the air quickly but still over 2 hrs late! I was wondering where the pixie dust was...but refused to let this bother me at all.
We arrive in Orlando at about 4:30 pm..and head to the ME busses. We were usshered right on to the bus and whisked away to the Poly. DD was at this point really wondering where "Mickey's house" actually WAS. We checked into the Poly, had Tuvalu room 3418. DD was given a lei from a lovely CM..and then given instructions how to give me and her daddy one and kiss us on the cheek..so cute. The Poly was lovely and every CM we encountered thus far was so nice, greeting us with Alohas, and calling DD princess..which made her giggle. We wandered to our room..taking in the sights of the resort. The room was wonderful..spacious and beautiful. Teh only downside was the view, there was a giant palm tree that was basically IN the balcony, and the rest of the view was of teh close by Fiji longhouse. DH called to see if there was an upgrade to a water view..but was told all that was avaliable was concierge, and it was just not in the budget. I was also a little worred because the 3 rd floor is smoking optional and we requested non smoking. But the room did not smell like anuyone had ever smoked there. There was smoke when we opened the balcony door...but it was so hot that we figured it would not matter to us much.
After changing into shorts and a quick freshen up we headed over to the monorail to take us to the GF for dinner at 1900 park fare. We had a 7:30 ADR. I was so glad my BFF had decided to join us on vacation and we moved our ADR..it was for 5:00 origionally and due to our late flight..we never would have made it! We got to the GF and looked around while waiting for BFF and her family to come from the CBR. When they arrived we checked in and were shown right to our table after a stop to meet the Fairy Godmother:

The pigtailed one is my DD, and the other is BFFs DD
Once we were seated we got the kids plates filled and then attacked the buffet. The food was WONDERFUL! There was a mushroom ravioli that was delish..and curry chicken and a pasta station..and and..it was all too good! We also met Prince Charming:

and Cinderella herself:

Luckily I got the pictures in before DD..who was tired at this point...had chocolate icecream and wore most of it. I guess those white shorts were a one time thing..as they are permanently stained with chocolate!
After stuffing ourselfs silly..we returned to the poly only todiscover that DH had left the clip on part of his sunglasses at the table. SO DD and I went to the room and started to unpack a few things while he went back to get them. He decided to walk back from the GF..thinking this would be faster than the monirail..in the dark and rain. If you ever do this..stick to the path. DH had a rash on his legs and arms for the rest of the week that we are pretty sure he got from something when he took a shortcut through the brush... :confused3 will he never learn! After unpacking we all crashed quite early. It was raining so we didnt try to watch the fireworks. Coming tomorrow: MGM

Love your TR! Your BFF Daughter has hair like my neice except hers is blond. When she was a baby she had hair with tight ringlets and we were always being asked "is that natural?" as if you would perm a toddler's hair... She is 10 now and it is still just as curly and she hates it (we love it) - ANYWAY, the girls are adorable!

Great report so far. Your DD is so cute. FYI try the Clorox Bleach Stick. My 10 yr old DD spilled hot chocolate all over her white shirt (while at the Poly) in August. Washed it twice to no avail then used the stick and it's back to being white again.

Yep we know she (julia..my friends DD) will hate those curles one day. I love them they are the boingy type, and in pigtails can be made into those big bananna curls :)

Our first full day in WDW..and I am up early (thanks to a call from Stich and Mickey  I know some people can't stand Stich, but he has become one of my and DDs favorites) Then I have to wake DH..no easy task and DD who is at this point all confused as to what is going on, and what her parents are thinking. I get her lathered up in "sun scream" and dressed and as I am finishing getting the bag o stuff loaded I hear her screaming that there is a GIANT bug on the window. I rush over fearing a giant spider (my biggest fear! :scared1: ) and I see this stuck to the sliding glass door:

After a few moments to admire our little friend..and the tracks left over the whole window we head out to catch the bus to MGM. We make it to the bus stop just as the right bus was arriving pixiedust: Here is DD on the super crowded bus we took from the Poly to GF to MGM:

The 3 of us had the bus to ourselves...this was a complete first for me! We arrive at MGM early enough to walk around a bit before our breakfast ADR at Hollywood and Vine. The park is quite empty even though it was an EMH morning. We check in a bit early for breakfast and are shown to a table in a matter of moments. The buffet was wonderful, but DD seems completly overwhelmed at this point, so hardly eats. We meet JoJo, Goliath, June and Leo. Anyone with little kids this was a great breakfast, they got up and danced around and sang with the kids. It was noisy but fun!

June cracked me up she was making bunny ears behind DH and other gestures..I took this pic and she covered her mouth laughing then high 5d me :

When settling our bill, the CM said she didn't charge us for DD because she did not eat anything, even though I protested.pixiedust: I hope she enjoyed her tip :)
After breakfast we headed over to the Great Movie Ride, which DD enjoyed. Then we went to see Jacks World in concert. In the waiting area some ppl were pushing and shoving trying to get closest to the door. When the doors opened..we walked right into the door where no one was fighting and sat in the front row. Silly people! I had seen Jack's world on tv a few times, and it was a nice concert. Cute tunes including a brand new Winnie the Pooh song!

After the concert we enjoyed everything in the park that was on my 'must do' list. There were no waits anywhere, we walked onto everything. We also stopped at some point for lunch at pizza planet...which was ok..but nothing special. We also saw Woody and Buzz, as well as Quincy from Little Einstiens..I was sad we missed Annie, :

At this point DD was complaining about the heat, us new englanders are not used to the weather in FL...we get only a few days that are that HOT and HUMID a summer. We got her one of those fan/spray bottles..and that seemed to help her mood some. It was now getting to be close to parade time, so we scoped out a spot on the ground. I thought the parade was adorable, and DD was thrilled with seeing Lightning and Mater  :

After the parade, DD hit the witching hour. She was understandably over tired and cranky and hot so as we walked with her in the stroller debating what to do, return to hotel or what...she fell asleep. We decided to stay, and have some dinner then catch Fantasmic! We walked about for a while, then decided on the Sci Fi dine in for dinner..if we could get in, because last year in Oct we couldn't. We waited about 15 min for a 'car' that we could wheel the sleeping child in stroller up to and had dinner. I know that this place gets not so hot reviews often, but our dinner was pretty good. We both had burgers and it was better than the pizza at lunch. Child still sleeping, we walked about and slowly made our way towards Fantasmic! We found seats right in the center section, and sat down about 20 min before the show started. DD woke up just in time..in much improved spirits. This was a wonderful show..I just wish some of my pics had turned out! After the show we moseyed toward the busses..stopping to get DD a snack as she had not had dinner. TO anyone waiting in the seriously looooooong line for a bus to the POP...sorry ! When we got back to our room we were greeted with this:

And my having to take pictures of it confirmed DHs suspicions that I had indeed lost my mind :rotfl:

Next: EMH and MK and a meltdown in Epcot

I'm always late to the party! I just found your TR!
Love it, love it, love it! I'm racking my brain trying to remember if I saw your family anywhere at the Poly. I think I was chasing DS most of the time!
