I live in metro Atlanta and several of the surrounding counties have a fall break from school Sept. 15-23. It would be a great time to take my kids to WDW but I'm wondering if it will be too crowded due to the Georgia fall break?

We have been there over those dates the last 2 years. The parks were empty. Our longest wait was 10 minutes. Many rides we were able to walk on and ride again without getting off. I love September!

I've also experienced low crowds during that week but perhaps Georgia fall break wasn't happening when we were there.

Anyway, we still needed FP's (readily available) for the super-headliners and we still got to the parks at rope drop to get the biggies done way before the "crowds" showed up. Peak wait times at Soarin' and TSM are around 45-60 mins, as opposed to 2-3 hours during very busy weeks.

Have fun!

Not as bad.

Was wondering the same thing a we are thinking of heading that week to surprise DD for her birthday. Will there be a MNSHP that week?

This is great news. I expect low headcounts for September, but really low wait times is awesome. We'll be there Sep18-26, now we're just hoping we don't melt in the heat or be blown away by a Hurricane. But then again, who cares. The Worst Day at Disney World is still better than the Best Day at Work.

September has some of the lowest crowds of the year and while the resorts and parks aren't too bad, September has had a free dining promo for the last 8 years and the restaurants will be packed. So, make sure you book your advance dining reservations as soon as possible. None of the popular restaurants or character meals will be taking walk-ups.

Here is a link to the info here on the Disboards about booking a free dining discount and all of the past dates that free dining was offered:

That is a great time to go. Crowds are low and the temps are not bad. We used to go at that time before the kids started school.

I put my son in a year round school so we could continue to go to disney during that time. Very low wait times, but make sure you make dining reservations.
