sept. 13-20,2003 cruise

Picked up my lime green Mickey head paint samples too!! Going to try to get to the pool at the Hyatt on Friday, late afternoon, to meet anyone that is there. If I don't make it, will see everyone on the ship! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I am definately getting excited :)

So sad that we dont have a Home Depot so I cant get the mickey paint things. Also dont have a disney store. Maybe my mom will send me some mickey paint things.

We wont be able to see anyone before we get on the boat (were not at the Radisson or Hyatt on Friday) but looking forward to meeting once we are onboard.

Anyone started packing yet?

3dbunch, wishing we had signed up for the full day at Capt. Marvins. I was thinking there was no way I would get dh motivated and there by 8:15. Oh well, if I like the half day I can do the full day next June :)

ambermomma, dont know if you have stayed at the animal kingdom lodge before, but its our favorite of all the disney resorts. We love it there, hope you enjoy it.

Well, need to get motivated. Not an easy task planning on leaving the seven little ones with grandma and grandpa for a week. Especially the twins and the two year old. The bigger girls wont be a problem but they will have their hands full with the babies.

Yes, we are getting very excited...

Yes, packing is kind of started...everything we don't use is set out in the spare bedroom including suitcases....

We are sooooo looking forward to this trip, I don't want it to come to soon, but I just can't wait.

My brother and I have rented Tuxedos that are identical, (for those who don't know were twins) for the formal and semi-formal nights, should be interesting.

I also have started getting things ready for the suit cases. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but this way I can make sure everthing is ready, and I haven't forgotten anything.

Jimmy

WE JUST GOT THEM:bounce: :Pinkbounc
WE ARE SO EXCITED. IT IS OFFICIAL NOW.

what exactly do you do with the lime green mickey faces? are they paint samples that you wear?
Hope to meet some of you guys at the radisson the night before.
Kim

Very excited. The suitcases are laid out in the guest room, and I've been putting stuff in them except the clothes which will go last minute. I have had a really awful week this week (issues at work for me, issues at work for DH, sick DD, sick me, etc). So frankly I look forward to checking the board in the evening just so that I can see that beautiful counter getting so tiny. :D

Filled out all the paperwork. according to my plans, we shoudl be one of the first ones on the ship!!! Now that I have said that, I have probably just jinxed myself, I am sooo excited!!!!!

We are buying more suitcases this weekend, and then I will start packing, I am sooooo excited only 15 days left!!!!!

I will be heading to Home Depot for my 'mickey paint things'.

So what kind of excursion plans, have you all planned? Just curious?

Heres ours

Key West, Just shopping and site seeing
Captain Marvin's, Grand Cayman, full day snorkeling trip
Eagle Ray Divers, Cozumel, full day snorkeling trip
Castaway Cay, Lounge on the beach, and float on the water.

Has anyone seen a good packing list online. We are leaving next Sat. and are going to spend some time in Orlando before the cruise. My DH will be at a convention for 3 days. So we will be gone for 2 1/2 weeks. We also have a dd3 and ds 10 mo. Any tips would be great:)

We used the packing list in the Passporter book as a guide. It's also a good idea to print the thread here regarding all the good tips combined in 1 post.

We're leaving next week too since we'll be spending some time at WDW. We're just about done packing and looking forward to the trip.

As for the lime green mickey paint heads, we'll be just be writing our names on the paper and pinning it to our shirts.

We're doing the trolley tours at Key West, Captain Marvins in the morning and GC Island tour in the afternoon, Dolphin Encounter in Cozumel, and just relaxing on Castaway Cay.

See you all on the ship!

So should we all just pin them to our shirts with our names on them. Also, are they paint samples?

Anyone have a 9 year old boy sailing with us? My daughter has met and emailed a friend, but not my son.
Kim

Boy, we are really so close now.

Very envious of all of you that are getting to spend some time at Disney World before the cruise :)

Webray, I emailed you about the mickey paint things, hoping you can get me some! Problems with my sending email though and I dont know if you got it. If you didnt, please email me and I can hopefully reply to yours? simons1093@msn.com.

Still havent made any plans for key west so we will probably be just checking it out on our own.

As for excursions, DH and a fair number in our group are diving in Key West, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. All privately booked. DD2 and I are going on the Western Schooner in Key West, Stingray City Observatory and Tour in GC, and Ocean View Explorer (and then to Mr Sanchos) in Cozumel. Our cruising group is getting together tonight for our last "cruise dinner" to make final plans.

Less than two weeks! :Pinkbounc

Jeanne...didn't get your email...but saw your post. I emailed you...I will head to home depot this morning to pick up your mickey heads. I have emailed you...let me know if you get the email.

Thanks,

Cheryl

We aren't doing any excursions as this is our first time on each in each of these places, except Key West (and we love the trolley tour there...and it must be even better now that they drop you and pick you back up).

In Key West, we are going to play, eat, shop.

In Cozumel...we are heading to Mr. Sancho's, and then back downtown for some shopping...we have got the map from map girl...(very nice by the way). We will end up over by Carlos and Charlies.

In Grand Cayman...we will go to hell, mail our postcards, stop by the turtle far and then just look around/shopping etc.

At Castaway Cay...maybe a bike ride, some snorkeling, but, mostly just relaxing.

I have purchased our shipboard credits, I think I have our clothes all lined up. Now to start putting things in the suitcases!

See ya all there.

We aren't doing any excursions either. Sounds like webray and I think alike. I am pretty much planning the same things except to maybe go to a beach in Grand Cayman. I like to have things in mind to do but just play it by ear day to day.

We were in Key West a few years ago when we were diverted there due to a hurricane. We really loved it. The trolley looks like fun especially if it is too hot to do a lot of walking.

Mr. Sanchos and Carlos and Charlies both look like fun. As for Castaway Cay that is my favorite thing about the cruise. Just going to relax in the water and in the same hammock we have had for our past three cruises!

Gosh, I'm getting goosebumps and butterflies in my stomach just typing this! I am so excited!
