sept. 13-20,2003 cruise

DH and I would love to meet people too! Someone come up with a good time and place to meet! Any ideas out there?

We are DINKS as well! This is our third cruise...the first was our honeymoon two years ago and the second was for our first anniversary. Glad to hear that there are other Disney fans without kids! We are going with DH's brother and wife, MIL, and FIL. We can't wait...the final countdown is on!

Were also going without kids. Wife and I celabrating 25 years of wedded bliss. My brother and his wife are also coming along. Going first class all the way!

My tickets and stuff came yesterday! However I was not home so they will be redelivered today...not long now!

So should we wear stuff so we can recognise each other?
I am sure my group will be easy to spot, but I read on a different post that they were going to wear Mickey paint things from Home Depot..what do you guys think?

I think that it would be really great for us to at least meet eachother. We have been writing for a long time. Any ideas?
Who will be at the Radisson the night before cruising?

Gosh it really is getting close :)

We are sailing without our kiddos this time (tenth anniversary), will NOT be at the Radisson (arriving late night before and staying near airport), have second dining.

Who else without kiddos on second dining?

Would love to meet some people.

Jeanne

We are going to try for second dining also since we are not bringing any children. Congrats on the 10 years...i am engaged - but it wil be another 5 years before the ceremony!

We do have children. Ansley 11 and Austin 9. We have second dining because we didn't want to be rushed. Anyone else out there traveling with children?
Kim

we are staying at the Hyatt, and someone suggested MICKEY PAINT THINGS, like from home depot. I am open to anything......

What exactly does that mean, we would be like pinning the paint samples to our shirts??? can you clarify?? I am totally open, but totally blank with Ideas. I think I will try to email Rae and see if they have any ideas.

Yeah! So to jlrose, it looks like we are on your flight. Delta #2459 out of Dulles 7:10 AM on the 13th.

See you there. Wave at the thirty-something couple with the 2 1/2 year old daughter (Smiley Riley). That's us!

Recieved our documents today via UPS. I guess we are really going.. Can't wait!!!

Jimmy

Got our docs. as well!!! Flying out from Dulles on Friday, 1:20 Song flight and stayig at the MCO Haytt that night! Taking Disney transportation to the port.

Part of the same large group as 4Smilee (matter of fact she is my DIL).

After all this time (made reservation last Sept) I guess we are finally realy going! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Made our reservations 24 months ago to get room 8602, great room. looking forward to it.

Whats the occasion for such a large group?

Jimmy

Hey jlrose, we are on the same deck! We are in room 8550. There really isn't a special occasion. 4smilee mentioned this cruise eary last Sept. My DS (4smilee's DH) is a scuba diver (as a hobby) and there are several in their group of freinds that are as well and they try to do a dive trip at least once a year. They asked if I wanted to come. One of my daughters, and her family is also joining us as part of the group. I have always wanted to cruise and having family going as well, I thought it would be perfect

DH and I have a gradson that lives with us, so I thought how great to take him on a Disney cruise!! DH, as it turns out, is not joining us. I decided to take our grandson (7) and go anyway!!

You'll enjoy yourself anyway, My wife and I are celebrating 25 years of marriage, with my brother and his wife. You can't miss us, were identical twins. His wife is blonde mine is brunette. We decided in the beginning that we wanted to go with the suites, Have already talk to conceige and already have my Palos revervations as well as the champagne brunch. Too cool. We doing 2 excurtions with non-disney related companies. We decided also to pay the extra cost and do them private. didn't what to mess with all the crowds. Plus it makes it a little more special. See ya there

HI!
The best place we have found for a meet and greet - is
Promenade Lounge - it's empty and quiet. The time
between the safety drill and the Sail Away Party gives
your cruisers enough time to say hi and chat
comfortably.
There are other areas of the ship but this is the only
one I have found that works in all weather and without
noise!!!!!
Do you already have a list of people cruising with
you?
Remember only about 1/2 of them will show up and maybe
only 1/4 of them will "click" together. But that's
pretty good statistics considering we are all
strangers coming from different areas with a lot of
different variables inbetween!!!

You could recommend name tags or something that will
give the others a way to recognize you. I have a lime
green baseball hat and shirt that I wear. I also ask
Michael to wear one so we both stand out - it's hard
to get either DH or DM to wear lime green, but
occassionally, they will!!!!!

Best wishes and enjoy your cruise!
Rae

WHAT DO YA'LL THINK DOES THIS SOUND GOOD?????

I think the promenade lounge would be a great idea. The time sounds good also. Anyone else interested?
