From what I have heard, the Avis shuttle are usually not as crowded as the Radisson shuttle. Because Avis will no longer be at the Radisson starting August 1, I'll probably just use the Avis shuttle from their new location directly to the port rather than taking a shuttle back to the Radisson, and then boarding the Radisson shuttle to the port.

I was reading some pretty negative comments about the radisson today. Do you guys still plan to stay there?

I have stayed at the Raddison before a cruise and its the kind of place i would not spend a week for a vacation but it is a great place to spend the nite before the cruise Its an older hotel that needs constant up keep. I will be of the phone the morning of check in to get a place on the shuttle as Avis wont be an option. Im thinking the King bed rooms with Whirlpool are their newer rooms and the problems might be with the older part of the Hotel.

I've read all the good and bad comments about the Radisson, and I think for now I'll take my chances and keep my reservations. We have the 1 bedroom suite with whirlpool and it's a pretty good deal compared to other suites in the area. I did change my Avis reservations to Budget and ended up getting a larger car and paying 20% less than Avis. I'll probably just end up using the Budget shuttle instead, which will free up more room on the shuttle for you guys!

Dh and I are undecided about the Radisson also. Especially with the Avis desk not being onsite now. We may end up just staying up by the airport and driving down in the a.m.

Mr. Ed., we also switched from Avis to Budget today. Didnt get a bigger car but got a smaller price Maybe we will see you on the shuttle.

Only six more weeks as of today!

We'll be there, too. There are 11 of us total--grandparents, children, and five grandchildren, ages 4.4.3.1. and 5 months! We've booked the semi submarine in Grand Cayman and have first seating at dinner.

Here's hoping that there are NO hurricanes!

Got our documents yesterday!!!!


Also my sister who is on the same cruise checked the website today. She is a Cat. 11 and when she checked the price it was $385 less then when we booked it. She called DCL and they credited her credit card the difference. She is so excited. Not sure if it will work for anyone else but worth a shot.

Wow thats great she has some extra shopping money . Checked our travel agent and the price went up. Time is flying now hope the cruise doesnt go this quick.

I believe you will have your dining rotation when you get to your stateroom.

We booked through AAA and got our docs on Monday. On our last cruise our dining assignment was given at check in at port.

Still have not received my docs yet but DCL said it was on its way.

I did check the rates on the website again and found that the prices had indeed dropped for my stateroom since there is a special promotion. The rates for the adults dropped and the rates for the kids increased a little bit, but overall the total package refund came out to $300. It doesn't hurt to re-check. Thanks for the tip.

Hi,

For those of you who have gotten refunds....did you book through the cruise line directly, or agents...do you just call the cruise line no matter who you booked through to see if your rate has dropped.

Any little bit saved on the cabin is money for me to spend on something else fun...like the spa..lol.
