Welcome to all Sailing on the September 11th sailing of the Disney Dream to the Bahamas!

My self, my best friend Emily, and my DD Jessica (turning 13 three weeks before our sail date) will be on the Cruise I think we are in room 9120
this will be a second cruise for Jess and I but a first For Emily

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:
Have a great cruise!

Sailing out on the Disney Dream Sept 11,2014 and we cannot
wait!! There is three of us.

Hi! We are first time cruisers and we are very excited!! It is me, my daughter and grandson who will be 3 at the time of the cruise. I am part of a couple FB groups but haven't found anyone who is sailing at the same time. I Didn't want to start the FB group for that date yet since I am new to this.

Hello

We will be on this cruise in room 12012. Myself, husband, son who will be 6 and daughter who will be 2. This is our first ever cruise and we are very excited!

So excited to see someone else is going on our cruise! Did you join any of the FB groups?

Hello. There aren't too many of us on this one at the moment are there! I haven't joined any Facebook groups - I didn't know there were any. Shall I make a Facey group for this cruise and then people can join as they find us? Can't believe there is still nearly a year to wait.

Do you already have a personal FB page? I have found about 4 FB groups I joined and it's very interesting. There is also DCL fish extenders.com that is a new site i registered with. They say with smaller cruises the groups don't usually come together until it gets closer to the cruise date. I just want it to be now!! Let me know if you want to know the exact FB groups I following.

I do have a personal Facebook page. I will try to set up a group one later once I can get onto the main computer, and that can at least get us started and then people can join it as they find us here. I think for me to add you to it you would need to send me a friend request so that I can add you. You can then delete me if you like once I've added you to the group page. It would be great if you could let me know the names of the others you are following please. I'm very excited and wish it was now too!! I'm very keen to find some people with boys around my sons age (6) as he is pretty shy, and more likely to go to the kids club if there is someone there who he already knows something about - even if only from online. It would be go if he will go for at least a couple of hours a day so that we can have some relaxing time. :-)

The FB groups I am following are: Disney cruise line fan & addicts, Disney cruise meets Facebook, fish extender disney cruise line and disney cruising. They are very informative and fun. I have learned a lot. I am excited about being part of a fish extender group. Let me know if you join any if these groups so I can look for our.

DH and I are booked on this cruise. It will be our 4th Disney cruise, 5th cruise overall.

There is one slight catch - it is supposed to be a dummy date to switch when the 2015 dates come out. I had to promise DH we would only do land vacations in 2014 in order to get him to agree to the 2 cruises we did in 2013, but he did really enjoy both cruises, so..........I'm thinking we should just go ahead and take this cruise. We can do another OBB for 2015, and after all, this cruise will be our anniversary weekend! Besides, we are booked in our favorite aft cabin. Hopefully my plan will work. I think he already knows what I'm up to and he won't be putting up much of a fight.

I see that you are already talking FB groups. I hope that at least some of the discussion will stay here on this thread, since not everyone is on FB. I, for one, will not be going there, but I will check back here on a regular basis. DH and I do love to get to know other DISers and would love a meet & greet. It is always fun to see other people we have been talking to on the DIS throughout the cruise as well.

Thanks for those FB pages. I have sent requests to join them. My profile is Carol Swain and my pic is a pic of my baby in a pumpkin costume. I've also set up a FB page for our cruise date which I have just called Disney Dream, September 11 2014.

Hi PerfectMatch.

With it being your anniversary you should definitely stay on this cruise. ;-) My name is Carol and I will be with DH, Jason, DS Cammy (6) and DD Holly who will be 2.

We are from Brisbane and are very excited about this trip which also includes a couple of weeks in Orlando, Miami, Vegas and LA.

I look forward to getting to know you. :-)

Hi Carol! I'm Nancy, DH is Barry. We live in Central FL, about 45 min drive from WDW and 90 min from PC. We love living here! We used to live in CT before DH retired. Moving here was one of the best things we have ever done. :cheer2:

We are thinking of heading down to PC this weekend to at least see the newly reimagined Disney Magic while she is in port. Makes a nice day trip.

BTW, I agree with you that we really should take this cruise on our anniversary. I just talked to a friend whose birthday is Sept 11. We usually celebrate both occasions together at WDW but I hinted to her that she and her DH should come on this cruise with us. They have never cruised but think they want to give it a try.

I would love to visit Brisbane some day, actually any place in Australia would work for me. It's such a long trip, though. I'm not sure I can imagine dealing with DH on a plane for that length of time. :teeth: I can see why you are stopping in so many parts of the US as you are while you are here.

Hello to you both. Glad to see another member for our cruise. I am very excited since it on my bday which is also 9/11. This cruise will include myself. My 23 yr old daughter and 3 yr old grandson. We are from CA just 20 min outside of LA and about 30 min away from Disneyland. We are annual passholders and spend a lot of time there. We are pretty addicted!!

We got married in Disneyland, CA on Sept 12, 2000! The ceremony was on the 3rd floor roof deck. At the time the pool was at one end, there was a gazebo at the opposite end overlooking the soon to be opened DCA. That's where we got married. I know it looks a whole lot different there now. We are planning another CA trip, just not sure when. Hard to justify when you live 45 min from WDW, but it truly is a different experience from what we have here. I suspect we are just as addicted as you are!

I am completely jealous of you both being close to Disney!! In Brisbane we have what they call 'Hollywood on the Gold Coast' with a WB Movieworld, Seaworld and Wet n Wild. They are so small in comparison, eg, you could walk from the entrance to the far end of MovieWorld in 5 minutes or less!!

My trip has gotten totally out of hand. It started as a 7 day trip to LA, then after my son was looking at the rides on UTube he was wanting to do the Spider-Man ride and Harry Potter which are all in Orlando, so I managed to convince hubby that if we are in America anyway we may as well pop over to Orlando. Then, if we are in Orlando we may as well see Miami, and of course we have to do a cruise, and well Vegas is on the way back to LA so we shouldn't miss it. Lol. And so a crazy holiday was born!

Hi,

It is just myself, and I will be celebrating my 50th birthday, coming onboard after a nine night stay at Disney World. I will be in room 12512.
