Sept. 11, 2011 It's never too early to Dream

I will be watching the sail away tonight as well!! it will be at 11PM here in Spain :)

Dennis

Hey Dennis, set your clock back 3 hours............that way it won't be so late when you are watching the Dream sail out!!!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::lmao::lmao:
I didn't realize the big difference in time from Spain to here. Whenever I'm staying up late DW has offered to slap me in the face to keep me awake. (Me thinks she enjoys the slapping wayyyyyyyy too much!!!):lmao::lmao::lmao:

We're watching too! Darn web cam focused on the little boat that came in just before sailaway, and made us miss the START to the sailaway. Still, we enjoyed watching it again. That sure is one Beautiful ship! When she turned so the side could be viewed, Tim and I counted up and found our Stateroom Window!! 25 Days now (till we leave home for Orlando anyway :) )

I saw in the port earlier today, but missed the Sail Away. :sad1: Oh well I will try to catch it next time! I can't believe it's so close now.

Tina

Is it possible to see her come INTO port or is it too dark then on the webcam? Does anyone know what TIME that would be at?

Are there any sports bars near the port, or restaurants that would have wifi and have the Saturday night Nascar race on the tube? I need to watch and have wifi with me. Would rather be in a restaurant than stuck in the room.

Any word on how that Nassau excursion was/is?

I just emailed Kim (eyesformickey). She cruises either this week or next week and is doing that excursion. I'll let you know what she says,,,, actually Beth is cruising WITH them, so do you know their dates?

Just wanted to let ya'll know that DW and I did watch the Dream sail out yesterday. We had a hectic time in getting home from work yesterday. We just got in the door in time for me to get the computer turned on and pull up the Port Canaveral website to see the Dream sail out. And, then the rest of our evening was almost as hectic.:sad2: But the important thing is we did watch the Dream sail out.:cool1: Boy oh boy do we ever need this cruise!!!

Sounds good! We have leis from Spirit of Aloha show

I have a luggage question ... I'm probably bringing my Vera Bradley suit bag with hubby's dinner jacket and my dresses. It's 100% fabric. How tough will the port & ship baggage handlers be on it?

I WISH I could drag up the photo I have in mind to show you from our boarding day last fall. We were on the balcony in the terminal. I had checked the luggage and boxes containing our FE gifts which contained chocolate. My DH pointed way over to the right, on the pavement in these Giant Metal baskets, I mean GIANT!!! These Giant Basket type boxes? were FILLED with the checked luggage, just FILLED, and felt sorry for anyone that had anything fragile in their suitcase which might be on the bottom of this pile! And guess what? THERE was OUR Suitcase full of chocolate sitting on top, IN THE BRIGHT SUN!!!! If I can dig up that photo some some file on the laptop, I'll post it here.
In other words, I'd carry on the suit bag, and carry it around with you. I'm packing ours into a suitcase (we're flying anyway) and figure I'll just press the items myself if they need it.

Off topic, but will my dh need a dinner jacket? We did not make reservation for Palo or Remi. I have collared shirts(golf shirts) and kakhis for him to wear. Is that dressy enough?

Collared shirts will be just fine :)

I found the photo that had those luggage cart things in the background. If you look to the right of the photo, in the background, you can see the big basket things I'm speaking of. The luggage was just thrown in as some were upright some down, some on angels. They got them on the ship at least :thumbsup2
