Sept. 11, 2011 It's never too early to Dream

Are you by chance doing a B2B and in charge of the FE for the other portion? I don't mind some help, but the people you have listed above, are to my knowledge, not on this particular cruise.
I know I've been having plenty of fuzzy Brain moments lately, but I don't think this is one of them :)
I really did like the post you had made on the explanation of what an FE exchange is, and quoted it into the 2nd half of my B2B cruise when someone there asked "What is an FE". Great info for newbies! :thumbsup2

LMBO JustTJ!! Nope I am having a MOMENT of my own... my FE list is for the April Fantasy Cruise we are on... no one started it, so I offered to do it! Wheeeeew I was starting to worry!

You do have my infor for THIS Sept 11 cruise FE correct?

What a scatter brain I have been these past few weeks, I am sooooooo sorry!

And THANK YOU THANK YOU for handling the FE on this cruise! I am excited! No problem about the information, glad you was able to use it :)

Soooo very in need of this cruise :rolleyes1

No problem :rotfl: We ALL have moments like that! Yes I have you on the list for this cruise. And lucky lucky you!!! Another cruise less than a year away from this one!!!
We're booked for the Fantasy for next August, but not sure yet if we'll be able to keep that one. It will depend on my income over the next 6 months, but I'll do everything I can to keep that reservation :thumbsup2

This will be our first Disney cruise! Time cannot go by fast enough. I do have a question about the fish extender groups. How many people are typically in each group?

I also want to :welcome::welcome::welcome: you karebear06 to the cruise. You are going to have a great time counting down the days until we sail with the rest of us.:cool1::thumbsup2:banana:

Thank you Judy for you kind words about our little kitty passing away.

Well, it's official, we are in cruise clothes buying mode here in our household. We checked out what clothes we already have to take on the cruise with us, and made some major decisions as to what we need to buy yet. (I'd be happy with some ol' cut off's with strings hanging down to my ankles and flip flops...............but DW just won't hear of it!!! What's up with that??!!?:confused3)

I hope ya'll had a GREAT week-end. Now back to the ol' weekly grind. Not for me though..............I am still semi-retired, and LOVING IT!!!

About the cruise clothes..............DW and I are pretty well set. DW wants to buy some new cruise casual clothes...............I on the other hand only need some odds and ends - socks, belts, stuff like that. DW made a good point yesterday though. She said that the summer line of clothes is out on the racks now............so she needs to buy them now. If we wait until mid to late summer the stores will have fall and winter clothes on the racks. She won't be able to find what she wants / needs, or it won't be the color she wants / needs. (As you can tell..............DW is the smart one in our family.........always thinking...........me on the other hand got all of the good looks!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:)

Hi all, so the CC wedding spot was booked:sad2: But I can still get a photo package on CC if I decide too. The wedding is held between 4 and 5:30 on Nassau Day which I don't really like too much. We wanted to do the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim with the kids. Has anyone done this before? If so do you think we could make it back to the ship to get ready by 1:30 or so?:confused3

Hmmmm thats hard to say. My DH and our DD did the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter back in 2006. The transportation to and from is pretty easy, and the boats run on time. But back by 1:30? That would depend on how early a booking you can get with Blue Lagoon.
CC is a BIG island. They only have ONE spot for weddings? Could and earlier or later time work? Before or after the booking that already exists? What about the Sea day, or early the morning of Nassau day and then book the last Dolphin swim? Or you just need to make this into a B2B so you have Nassau a 2nd time :thumbsup2
I know, issues like this can be frustrating. I hope it all works out for you :)

Thankfully, I think, I'm ok for cruise clothes and my son too. I bought a new wardrobe for all of us for our cruise last fall, and since most things got packed away once we arrived home (that season called WINTER), everything is still in almost new condition. I just hope that having bought the bigger sizes for my DS will do him for this summer. He does seem to have gone through a growth spurt this past winter. I sorted through all his clothes last night (we are redecorating his room and laying new flooring, so thought I may as well do the sort so ONLY what fits now and in the future would go BACK into the closet) I had a HUGE bag of clothes he had outgrown, posted it on our Freecyle net work board and they were picked up and gone an hour later!!! Don't tell DS though......Some of his most favourite shirts were in there!!!

Tis the time to be shopping for those Cruise clothes ;) I too am very excited that beach and summer clothes are out now... I have bought a few new dresses for dinners... nothing fancy but nice maxi dresses.

Now swim wear.... ughhhh not wanting to start on that shopping.

I have been to Nassau many times, and I am trying to decide what we should do (stay on ship or go off and do something). As we are traveling with friends who have never cruised before and they have a 1.5 year old... so not sure they are going to be able to do much with lil man? Suggestions Ideas? I have thought about letting them go enjoy Nassau and staying on ship with lil man... butttttt I dont think they want to do anything 'without' him. Since its a first time for all of them, they are uneasy with going some place they have never been alone?!

I myself am hoping for a really nice beach day in Nassau. I've been checking out these two:

Both include a lunch which makes it worth it to me:thumbsup2

Hello everyone just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Like justTJ we got new clothes for our first cruise last year, but I am sure I can find something else I want. ;) The excursions look good to me you picked. I am not sure what DH and I will do, we did the Sea and See tour last time . DH just wants to find a place that sells good cigars.

Hi Everyone!:wave2: First of all I would like to :welcome: to all the newbies, It will be fun to sail with you all. :thumbsup2

I'm sorry I haven't posted here lately, but we have been crazy-busy with too much going on, I even had a health issue and ended up having a minor surgery, I wasn't serious but I can ensure you it was painful :scared1: It is a bit embarrassing  to tell you what kind of surgery I had, so let's just say that I had serious trouble to sit my butt down for a couple of weeks during my recovery :lmao: Fortunately, I'm feeling good now!

About Nassau, since we are doing B2B, and will be making two stops there, we are planning to stay on the ship on our 3 day cruise and do Atlantis Waterpark :woohoo: :cool1: during our 4 nighter. We've been to Atlantis before, but never to the waterpark. Needles to say that our DD is Super-excited about it.

Hope you guys are all having a great week so far.

Dennis

Has everyone got a look at the new itineraries for 2012 yet? I'm considering the possibility of changing our Aug. 2012 Fantasy cruise for the Aug 2012 8 night cruise out of NY on the Magic. If it were up to me, if the price was the same as our Fantasy one or less, I'd switch. For me it's about being on the ship more than it is the ports. But for that trip I have the rest of my Family as well as my mom and her boyfriend, for who it may be about the ports, as well as the promise of being on a NEW ship. I'll find out prices first. If we dont' switch it up, then I HOPE they will have that NY itinerary again in 2013! I'd definately book it then!

I just finally changed the month to April on my DCL desktop Calendar that was one of the FE gifts I received on our last cruise. I'm looking at Captain Mickey with Chip and Pluto in the background. It looks like Captain Mickey is dancing, and I SOOOOO want to on board soon for that Sail Away Party!! Which brings to mind how the sail away was being done on board the Dream. For those that just cruised, did they close up the floor over the pool during the sail away so people can dance on top of it? They were'nt doing that for the first several sailings, but I wonder if they are now?

I must admit that none of the new itineraries appeal to me. I was really hoping for a Southern Caribbean or Bermuda cruise. However, I am happy for those within driving distance of the new ports who will now be able to experience DCL.:thumbsup2

Dennis, sorry to hear about your surgery. Hope you are feeling much better.

I think the 8 Night NY 2012 Itinerary looks great - Love the idea of the 1 day Disney World park hopper with transfers as a bonus :thumbsup2

I also love that Disney has added Galveston as a port!! Now its much closer to us here in Kansas, so we can drive down to cut some of the expenses on flights.

Well, now that I've seen the prices, we definately won't be cruising the Magic out of NY!!! It was almost $4000.00 MORE than the same Cat. rooms we have booked on our August Fantasy 2012 booking!! Not worth it to me anymore. I honestly don't know how DCL will fill a ship at those prices???? Perhaps I'm in the minority on that, but regardless, we'll just enjoy our Fantasay Eastern Caribbean :thumbsup2

I would love to do the HI cruise, but I know I couldn't get that many days off work.

I agree with the prices of the NY Cruise! WAY too high even for DISNEY! But I think that once the 'new' ness of the new itineraries wears off, the pricing will become more realistic - or so I can hope:confused3

And I too would LOVE LOVE the Hawaii cruise, but 14 nights is a tough length to be away from work/life... I hope that with the new resort in Hawaii opening up there will be a few more Hawaii itineraries added to the schedule. Guess we will have to wait and see popcorn::

For now I am just going to count down the days until I am back on the Disney Dream!

Have ya'll got great plans for the week-end? I have to work on the dreaded hunny - do list!!! This thing never ENDS!!!:confused3

Hey all we are nearing the 5 month mark for our cruise!!!:cool1::banana::banana: Do you have your plans on what resses you want to book? DW and I already have our plans.................now we just have to wait for the time to be able to book them.

DW and also looked at the new itineraries that Disney has planned. Whew!!!! the prices are OUTA - OF - SITE!!!! We always said we wanted to see Hawaii and if Disney would ever sail there we were going. Not with those kind of prices. Plus they are not spending all that much time at the islands. In fact one of the islands they will only be there for a total of 4 hours.:confused3 The time frame is not a factor for us.........a 15 day cruise.............in fact we would love that. We are glad we have this B2B booked and paid for and another one booked in June 2012 on the Fantasy - and Eastern Caribbean Cruise, with our Granddaugher. She is really looking forward to be going back on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise.:thumbsup2:cool1::banana:

I agree 100% about everything you said about the new itineraries and prices. I am so very glad that I used both of our dummy reservations for our Sept. b2b.:thumbsup2 We will book another dummy reservation when we are onboard and hope for something that we will like in 2013. We would absolutely love a Southern Caribbean cruise. We can Dream.pixiedust:

I can't believe that we our cruise is getting so close! We aren't booking anything for the four night. We will book Palo with DD and our son-in-law during the three night. We were never wowed by Palo but want to experience it on the Dream. Other than that we are just planning on enjoying the ship. As for Nassau...been there, done that, had enough. We will just wander around port for a short while and grab some Nassau Rum and other adult beverages and go back on board and enjoy the ship.:thumbsup2

David, that Honey-Do-List MUST be getting shorter by now????

My plans for today were to paint my son's room, or rather FINISH painting it. Just two more walls in each room. However a Red Light Runner yesterday morning put a dent in those plans of mine, as well as more than a dent to my NEW van:mad: My neck and shoulder muscles were sore yesterday, and although things were feeling better today, I thought in the end it was just not a good idea to be running a paint roller up and down the walls with my right arm till the muscles are completely healed. I'm glad things weren't worse because they very well could have been, and thank goodness for insurance. Tomorrow is looking better for getting some work done.

We've been having beautiful spring weather here these past few days, it sure is nice to be able to be back outside without shivering from the cold!! :thumbsup2
