Sept. 11, 2011 It's never too early to Dream

LOL, I remember when I first went to book this cruise, I WANTED an inside stateroom, so we could experience the VIRTUAL PORTHOLE :). But even then the prices of an inside were MORE then even a CAT 9 Ocean View. So I booked the Ocean View. I don't remember exactly how much difference in price but I'm sure it was a couple hundred dollars difference. Enough anyway to make me say it wasn't worth it to me, over an Ocean View. It's all about Supply and Demand. Those Virtual Portholes were a HUGE draw, and thus the higher price. :)

And here I've got my fingers crossed for a verandah upgrade! I don't know if I'll be able to make it with "just" a window, but I also won't have a little one sleeping that I have to worry about, so I can always "sneak" out and sit on one of the decks. That will be me roaming the decks in my pj's in search of an early morning treat. :goodvibes

So glad we booked (and changed categories) in time to keep the price down!

BOOK EARLY! BOOK OFTEN!! :lmao:

And I'll be the rotten mom who drags my kid out of bed to go watch the sunrise, in our pj's :)

A verandah upgrade would be heavenly!! I wouldn't care WHERE on the ship they put us if we had that kind of an upgrade! I suppose it's possible!!

One thing on my list of top 10 things I'm looking forward to doing on this cruise, is at debarkation, turning around and walking straight back up the escelators into the terminal!!!!!!

Just need to chime in here ...

IT'S SO FAR AWAY!

Seriously, I don't know if it's the unseasonably cold weather here in Seattle, or what, but I want to be on this honeymoon RIGHT NOW. If I thought I could marry my fiancée right now and be on that boat tomorrow, I'd do it. I can't believe it's still over six months away! ARRRRGH!

I've been reading every blog, listening to every podcast, just getting myself hyped up, and I think I might have finally blown a circuit. I don't know what I'm more excited for ... swimming with the dolphins at the Blue Lagoon, seeing the shows and the Enchanted Art on the Dream, going on the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom, getting to Dine with an Imagineer at Hollywood Studios ... or that I get to experience it all with my gorgeous fiancée!

Don't lose it now! We all want to be able to meet you on our Dream cruise. I know how you feel, it is hard to go to work every day when I am looking forward to this awesome vacation. But I know I gotta work to pay for our cruise! It will be here before we know it and we will have a great time and the weather will be so much better than what is getting us so down right now!;) only 191 days

Ya superrob, don't lose it right now! And ONLY 191 days? OHHHHHHHH saying it that way, DOES make it seem sooooooooo far away.

What I tend to do to make the time between now and then seem shorter, is to focus on closer main events. Like this May, I'm taking my boys on a Long Weekend vacation on an island on Lake Ontario. I just received the schedule today from the Organization that is running this Family Weekend. Thats my first focus. Then July 1st, I've made plans to take my eldest DD19 away for a camping weekend (long weekend for us here that weekend), Just myself and her. Then summer, my boys go away to camp for 11 days. Planning that makes time go fast. Then when they get back from camp, we'll have a nice birthday party for my 7yr old and spill the beans about this cruise to him. Those smaller big events, keep my mind focused and time go faster August is the only month I don't have anything planned for, but heck, we'll be packing for this trip that month, planning what we want to do ect.....

At least THATS my plan to NOT LOSE IT :thumbsup2

Well Rob, since you don't know what you are more excited for, I will give you the correct answer...that you get to experience it all with your gorgeous financee!:thumbsup2:lmao: Remember that and you will have a long and happy marriage!

We'll be on the Dream for four nights, of course. Then we'll be at WDW for 10 days. We're ridiculously excited!

Rachel got her gown this weekend. :bride: It's a Vera Wang. :lovestruc

Sounds like you and your soon to be bride have a fantastic wedding and honeymoon planned. Again congratulations Rob!!!

My DW and I have been married since.............well it seems like forever!!!!:confused3 And, she is my soul mate.:hug: I'm kinda used to her now.:woohoo: I just want to know one thing though..................since I am semi-retired, and on the days I don't work, I am still expected to do my excerices each and every day. When she comes home from work she always asks if I did my excercises that day. I always say yes.....................well she will stand there for about 15 or 20 seconds staring me in the eyes, no expression on her face........just the staring. (Very distrubing I might add!!!) And, if I haven't excercised yet that day I have to go in there and jump on the ol' torture machine for my usual 30 minutes!!! She can always tell if I am telling her a fib or not!!! How do you gals do this!!!!

For anyone interested in such trivialities, an Oceanview Stateroom (8A) just became available for our cruise online. And it's $600 more than I paid for my Verandah room (6A). Crazy.

We're seriously debating booking an Alaskan cruise while on board. It leaves from Vancouver, which is only about a 2 1/2 hour drive from the Seattle area for us. I've been on an Alaskan cruise with Norwegian once, and it was very nice. Most of the port stops are tourist traps and I kind of hated that, but Prince Edward Island was delightful.

Either that, or we might make our first anniversary trip to Disneyland, since I've never been.

Happy 6 month mark everyone!!!:dance3:

Probably the only positive thing about today! Pray for all the poor people affected by the Tsunami!

Ditto on Japan :sad1:

The other good thing for me today (aside from today being the 6th month mark), is that today was the last day of school before the MARCH BREAK. Thats our spring break. The kids have all of next week off. Now, you all might say, "Why is THAT a good thing?". Well, I'm really psyched about our plans for next week. Every day a BIG ADVENTURE is planned for me, two 1yr olds, one 2yr old, one 3yr old, one 7yr old, one 10yr old and my helper, my 13yr old. From venturing out to our local mall for their kids spring break activities and reptile zoo, to a Maple sugar bush, A HUMONGOUS indoor playground and the Children's Museum. Yes, a BIG week, but it's FULL, no dead time. This means I will be EXHAUSTED by next weekend, BUT it also means the week will go by SO FAST!!!!! :thumbsup2 Yep, I gotta look at the bright side of everything! :)

26 weeks from TODAY, we'll all be at the port, and hopefully just entering the terminal building at this time :thumbsup2

My brain likes thinking 26 weeks better than thinking 6 months, it seems like less time, although it's not. :)

Just found this thread and am new to this site, but thought I would say hello, we are on this cruise and i am so excited as it is our first disney cruise. We are then having 10 days at Disney too.

I am traveling with my mum and dad. We are coming from England, and I am hoping it will be a brilliant holiday, my mum and dad have been on a cruise before but I have never cruised, but none of us have done the Disney Cruise so that will be new to all of us. Am very much looking forward to it.
