WOW!! Look at all these people! I'm so glad to meet you all and see that you all are coming! This is going to be a great time! Shannon and I have been discussing a b2b, we are still unsure at this point....We'll probably end up doing though.

Come on Goofydad24 and sign up for a b2b. It will be alot of fun. Just being on that beautiful new ship is going to be wonderful. Right now the prices are fantastic. I couldn't believe how low they are. We were going to wait for the Disney Fantasy to come out, but we couldn't wait that long. But of course we'll sail on the Fantasy too.

I've been trying to convince my brother and his wife for years to come on a Cruise with us. Yesterday SiSin law sends me an email saying although SHE wouldn't mind trying a cruise, my Bro says it's not his thing and here are his reasons:
1. Can't stand all the SCREAMING kids
2. Won't Vacation anywhere where there isn't all inclusive Alcohol

Is my Brother an alcoholic and I didn't know????

I shipped him off an email telling him he's like a kid who won't eat his veggies because he doesn't like them EVEN THOUGH HE HASN'T TRIED THEM!!!

I told him, there are NO Screaming Kids, (only excited happy kids that you'll hear around the KID'S Pools, and at the sailaway party (I know of many adults that can be louder than kids), but other than that, there are NO screaming kids, in fact lots of Adult only areas where you would rarely see a kid.
I also told him DCL is one of if not THE only ship that allows cruisers to bring aboard their OWN alcohol.

He's SO stubborn! Anything else I should mention to him?

I want SO bad for them to join us, I even offered to fly them there!!

Yea...Send him some pictures of castaway cay, and tell him while the drinks are not inclusive, they are DIRT CHEAP. If your buying his airfare, he is already saving, what, $300.00 already? I highly doubt he can drink $300.00 in alcohol. So its like having it included! Put some salesmanship in it.

This is what we have been trying to tell the Goof and Shannon! Maybe they will listen to you. After all we are just parents and in-laws to be. A four day cruise goes so fast. They will be so upset when they have to get off of the ship and we are staying on. They could book it now and always cancel before final payment is due if they have to.

Tell him this...DH and are in our 50's and have done 15 DCL cruises. We stay mostly in the adult areas and have never been bothered by kids. I have read many comments on these boards praising DCL for enforcing the adult only area rules. Other cruise lines will let kids in adult only areas.

I'm SOOOOOOOO HAPPPPPY!
Just spoke with my mom's BF (other half), who said he'd LOVE to go on this cruise with my mom and us!!!!!!!!!! So now she HAS a travel partner! I've emailed my TA and told her to go ahead and BOOK the room for them.

Now, since this is a Christmas gift to my mom THIS CHRISTMAS,,,,,, (as her birthday is just a little too close to the Cruise, and I think she'd appreciate having time to plan), what are some ideas of things I can wrap up for her to open, to slowly reveal the Gift? I was thinking of getting her a Captain Mickey from somewhere, some sunblock, a good book to read on the plane, a postcard of Castaway Cay, Then the ultimate Gift, the final reveal would be a graphic of a letter inviting her on the cruise. Any other ideas of things I could wrap that would get her wheels turning or make her curious but that won't spill the beans too soon?

Bro and SIL probably won't join us, they want to go the Dominican. But I'll still keep at them for a future Cruise. With my mom on board, perhaps after the Dream Cruise, she'll be working on them too! LOL We won't tell my boys either till Christmas! But they'll probably figure out the gift before my mom does!

Still fighting this rotten cold I got last week. Worked today at the job I have given my notice for so by the end of May, My weekends will be FREE, I will Have a life again! Counting the days.
Managed some Spring Cleaning while I was ill, and have BOXES of stuff for Goodwill,,, feels good to have the decluttering almost done, the outgrown clothes taken care of... ect..... OH and got DH to clean carpets yesterday too!

Now tomorrow DS gets two more teeth removed (will have been 4 total), and then he's set to receive his braces on the 27th. $$$$$$$$$$$ Surprised we can still manage to do 3 cruises over the next two years when that issue came up! Thank goodness for payment plans!

Wow, the cruise is growing! I'm thinking of calling my TA and moving our 3 night to AFTER instead of BEFORE our 4 night. This way my family, my mom and her BF can all travel down together, instead of coming home together.

David, did you manage to get the same staterooms for both parts of the cruise?

We paid for our granddaughters braces. Ouch...........it still hurts!!!!

Hey Tj that would be great changing your 3 day to after the 4 day cruise. Oh, yes by the way our daughter and her family are going on the back 2 back with us. This is going to so much fun!!!! And, TJ yes we do have the same stateroom for both cruises. That's going to nice, we won't have to pack up and change rooms.

Well, after looking at the Calendar and discussing it with my DH, I have now sent a request to my TA asking her to check out moving our 3 night portion to AFTER the 4 Night Part. It would actually work out better for our kids with school. Though is it typically more costly to FLY on a weekend than on a weekday?
