Good morning fellow Disboarders. Tried to start our first real packing last night and didn't really get very far. DH was so sweet and did most of the ironing (trust me it would have been horrible if we hadn't ironed some of these clothes before they went in the case) Alls I did was throw a bunch of stuff on the bed and look at it going ok so pirate night t-shirt... check, swimsuits...check....um.... oh yeah formal night....check....now what? I guess it will be back to packing again tonight. Maybe I can concentrate better then.

Our magnet, if we can finish it in time will be very awesome. I don't want to spoil the surprise so just stop by door 6592 and check it out sometime. My DH hand drew it all and then uploaded it to photoshop where I was his "cleanup artist" for the characters and he is coloring in the background.

Now on to work where they have decided to recarpet our office this weekend. So on top of all the other things I need to get done, tomorrow I will have to clear everything off my desks and get it to somewhere where I can have access to it on Monday as well as clean out my bosses office as well. And today is end of month report day and training day and..... Deep breaths! Good thing I have a massage scheduled for Saturday. I think I am going to need it.

Mandy & Josh, my roommates are both teachers! I'm in trouble

LOL!! I taught math for grades 6-12 and junior college until having baby #2. I even got my master's and principal certification, but have put career on the back-burner. I could not justify $500/week in daycare costs for the two of them, so I am strictly tutoring now (except for some homeschool kiddos I am actually teaching their high school math courses to them). I do a lot of tutoring via Skype, which allows me to tutor from anywhere, but I have let them all know that the laptop and interwrite tablet are being left at home these three weeks! Luckily schools around here just started, and my homeschool kiddos are taking vacations this month as well.

I am not wearing a particular T-shirt, but I will probably be wearing a long skirt and a top .. haven't decided yet. DH may well wear his WBTA 2010 T-shirt.



Our cruise threads from 2008 and 2010 are still active and people post from time to time. I have really good friends from our 2008 cruise who we see every year, and also from our WBTA 2010 cruise, and we recently had a reunion for that group. I also have so many FB friends from cruising. I am sure the WBTA 2011 cruise thread will go on a long time after the cruise has finished, and we will definitely plan a reunion for 2012.







Today is the day ... still haven't heard anything and as expected I am beside myself with worry. She has a US mobile but only a cheap one and I don't think it does any international calls. She will hopefully contact me when she arrives at her destination, but I know I will be a useless wreck all day. I guess this is payback time for me from the days when I worked for Princess Cruises and didn't phone home for weeks at a time ( a bit more difficult then as we had no internet or mobile phones and we had to go into special booths at ports and you couldn't do that if you were working etc. ) My mother has since told me she was feeleing exactly the same as I am rightnow

I love my bed and long lies as we are up early every day for work. On last year's WBTA, I was surprised at how early we were up every day. With the 25 hour days and relaxing and snoozing by the pool on the sea days, I was usually awake early most days

You may be able to drag Lee out of bed no problem for an 8.50 start lol, I will just bang on your door at 8.30

I'll just set alarm clock so he has no choice but to wake up.

what reunion next year?

Nothings been decided yet but several of us are keen to have a reunion weekend at some point next year in the UK. I am sure information will be posted here & on the Facebook page when we get back....so keep checking in!!!!

I have been stressing out about the packing yesterday & had another go this morning.....I think i'm slowly getting there now but I can't pack as much as I had hoped too.

I am sure my DH will be very pleased if people appreciate all the hard work he put into it. The background is almost done. Should easily be done tonight and three of the 8 characters are completely done and the fourth is started. So hopefully he will be able to start on the 5th character. At least with this design if only these 5 characters get done and not all 8 it won't be a big deal. But I know he wants it all to be done. Another long night at the computer tonight i think.

Thank you so much. Just before I went to work this morning she popped up on my Facebook chat ... it was about 2am there and she had just finished her last shift. Anyway she said she had printed off her ticket, booked a coach to go to the airport, bought an extra bag and sorted out cash to pay for the bags. She was just packing. So that was a big relief to a worried Mum.

She will be in the air on her first leg round about now, so I will be on edge until she lands in Seattle in about 8 hours.
