*Sept 10th 2011 WB Transatlantic* - From Spain to Space Mountain - Part 6

Houston has not seen rain in months (other than one isolated thunderstorm) so if you could all send some here, that would be great! There's a huge fire burning, they say its the biggest ever in Texas less than 2 hours from us in Bastrop. Has already burned over 1,000 homes. Another is just north of us in Magnolia that has burned over 100 homes. The one in Magnolia is now 80% contained, but there is a haze where we live from all the smoke. We need rain!!

I'm off to go to my last water aerobics class for awhile (though hoping they might offer it on the ship), then have a mani-pedi. Then off to the grocery store to stock the fridge for the kids and DH while I'm gone. Mostly packed - just have to pick up the skirt that I had altered for my pirate outfit and I think I'll be set! I slept great last night - I am never this packed and this ready so maybe that's why.

Can't wait to go!!!

I so wish we could send you the rain you deserately need. There is so much here roads are flooded. We never had a chance to dry out from Irene over the weekend. I feel so bad for the people who finally got back into their house only to be evacuated again. I think Mother Nature needs to balance things out a little better. I saw your fires on the news. How awful. I pray you are all safe. I had my mani/pedi last night. All nice and filed and pink. All packed as well except for my toothbrush and teddy bear. Can't wait to meet everyone in the Promedade Lounge at 3pm. Soooooooo excited.

We are on the 0640 Aer Lingus Barcelona flight Fri Morning

I do believe that is the one we are on as well. It leave at 6:40 AM if I am correct. We get into Dublin, God willing at 5:10 AM from JFK. Maybe we can meet up at the gate to say Hello.

It's ok here at the moment, very windy, but hardly any rain.

I've just got my nails done. Will be doing the cleaning at last bits tomorrow ready for Friday morning.

I find out it's a hard job to get the whole party (me, dh and princess Léa 2 years old) ready and to pack the stuff for 4 week vacations with 40 pounds maximum weight . It's impossible and I put the clothes from one suitcase in another since 4 days, but I can't take all I need with me

4 weeks. WOW, packing for 2 weeks was hard enough. My case is exactly at 50 pounds. According to my bathroom scale anyway. I so refuse to do laundry on vacation. Good luck

We have decided to boycott formal night on this cruise. I just don't feel like dragging dress, panyhose, heels, etc.... If our tablemates are dressing and it bothers them we can always go to Topsiders for dinner. Can't wait to leave tomorrow.

I'm still here! Atleast til 3p EST. I'm getting major butterflies! My hand luggage is very fat, I'm hoping it fits in the over head compartment on the british air flight from london to barcelona... Can't wait to leave behind this rainy weather in new england for rainy british air! Seriously cannot wait!

Karen.....there are a few of us stragglers hanging around still! Got to finish my packing tonight. Hope I can get a better night's sleep tonight. I woke up several times last night thinking about things I needed to pack. Finally got up at 3:15 am and rounded the items up so I wouldn't forget (my memory span is shot all to heck!)! Hopefully, I will have it all together tonight!

OMG I am getting so nervous that I will forget something, or something will go wrong with the flight.

Yesterday was my last day at work. Today I bought a Nook on a whim, so now I have that to bring along too. Realized I don't know how to turn it off.

I have a lot packed, but so much more to go, especially all the paper stuff and electronics. I don't have candy for candy swap, no magnets, and no secret mickey gift. I can do the other things in BCN but have to do magnets today or skip them.

Seeing everyone's posts about leaving, or already being in Europe (for those traveling from US) is getting me so EXCITED!!!!

I agree Josh. I can't wait to get out of this rainy, crummy weather. I need some sunshine. I'm very nervous also because we have a connection in Dublin. We can't be late at all leaving JKF. Have a safe flight and I hope to see you on board. Are you going to the Hard Rock Friday Night?

That will be us, bleary eyed and tired. If I remember correctly we are in row 1 on the plane.

A pre-cruise meet sounds good to me. I'll be the one freaking out about our luggage making the connection with us. Hope to see you at the gate. I will have a blue rolling suitcase as my carryon.
